Hi! :wave2:

We've (myself, DH, DS10 and DS8) booked to go to DC in April 2005.

I've heard there is a variety of options for photos/CD's and videos available but they are a bit pricey.

Thought if I could prepare myself for the cost before we go I won't have a shock when we get there. Has anyone been recently?

Sam

We went in Sept 04 and I'm sure we paid around $180 for the whole package of video and 7 photos on CD

Hope that helps

Hiya  We paid about $60 for the video and another $40 + to buy 4 nice sized photos in folders. It seems a lot but it's well worth it in my opinion.

We went last Christmas and bought the whole package of video and CD rom - about $180 I think.

The advantage of buying the CD is that you get all the photographs taken during your swim and you then own the copyright so you can print off extra copies, send pictures via email, have a picture for your screensaver or desktop etc..

No matter if you think now that the cost is high, when you see the pictures you will want them - ALL!

Hi

Thanks to you all. Knowing in advance means we are prepared for the prices and won't have a shock.

This is a once in a lifetime event and the memories will be in the video and photos. I like the sound of the CD, much easier and I can copy them as and when I want.

Thanks again!!

Sorry to jump on your thread florida sam.

We are debating as to go to discovery cove on our next trip, Its a lot of money for the 4 of us and would take a big chunk of our budget.

My questions are.

Is it really worth all that money (do you get your moneys worth.)

Do you think its worth doing with 2 6 year olds or would it be a waste.

Is there much for 6 year olds would enjoy apart from the dolphins.

Im the one that really wants to do this and as this will prob be our last visit for a long time i don't want to miss the chance. Our daughters have been asked if they would like to and they said yes but we are worried that they would be a bit scared once the time comes.

Going on my own is not an option as this is a family holiday and i don't want to leave them for a day of it.Plus this would be an experiance i would want to share with them.

Do i sound like im talking myself into going :D .

yes its definately worth the money but with two six year olds is another question.....other than the dolphin swim which last roughly 45 minutes there is a coral reef to snorkal my 10 year old daughter loved it but there are some really big fish in there and could easily scare younger children..of course all of the fish are harmless but im sure you know what i mean...there is also a pool they will be able to swim in and this goes round the coral reef through a bird avairy with some stunning birds in... you can also walk thro this and feed the birds and they do come and sit on you....also there are ample sun beds, some in the shade too,and every thing is on carribean white sand...so if your children are good swimmers, love the snorkling theyll have a great day..we where there only last thursday and it was fantastic...hope this helps....oh and the shop sold bucket and spades too
