Discovering DVC timandlesley style-A PTR, 19 days TRIP REPORT LINK PG.119!!!!!

Lesley, I'm glad you got to see Wicked again. It is amazing, as Dawn said. We saw it at the Pantageon (circa. 1920) in Hollywood. Just being in the theatre blew me away!

Sorry about your crocs. Those puppies do the darndest things at the worst times. :sad2: Oh well, new shoes for your trip!

Dawn, those crocs are really cute - hadn't seen those before.

I aspire to your planning greatness! The last two trips I've used a packing list and boy does it help. Although, I still managed to forget DH's hairbrush and deodorant!

Sorry about the loss of your Crocs!

and they're REALLY comfy too! i got the brown ones.

I tried to get some of those at the outlet store but they didn't have my size. Have you tried the Santa Cruz style? I like those, as well.

Sorry about hijacking, Lesley. I just love Crocs and can't help but make suggestions. I actually first decided to get some Crocs after reading your TR from two summers ago (or was it last summer's??). So thanks for turning me on to them!! :)

Glad you enjoyed Wicked again! I'd love to see it a 2nd time....what a great show! :thumbsup2

Oh my gosh...your CROCS!!! I can't even imagine coming home to that!!! Wow! But, at least you can add some new ones to your collection!

Your packing list is fantastic! I'm a teacher too, so I'm always making and following lists. :)

I'm glad I got to see it again too, SO amazing, I could never tire of it. I know, stinks about my crocs. Glad you enjoyed the list :)
Your poor shoes! lol

At least now you have an excuse to get a new pair!:thumbsup2
Very true, very true : )

Santa Cruz is cool but Cleo is my FAVORITE! No problem with the hijack, gotta love CROCS, did you hear they filed Chapter 11, I HOPE that was a vicious rumor, if not we all need to STOCK UP!!!

and they're REALLY comfy too! i got the brown ones.
They look comfy!

You are too funny : ) Once we got to Disney and I left my entire SUITCASE at home, had everyone elses, but NOT mine : ( SERIOUSLY, that was BAD!

Thanks, yes, gotta love puppies.

Can't believe how funny your chewed up crocs look.:rotfl: Puppies will chew anything. Hope you have time to replace them prior to your trip.
I know, I can't believe it either!!!!! I already replaced one pair, other is on it's way : )
Too funny about the Crocs. My parents have a border collie and when he was a puppy he would eat everything! Like an entire rubber ball! Alll her garden statues! Fortunately, he has grown out of that!

As for Crocs, I still love the Cleo style, but I think I like the Adara better:

http://shop.crocs.com/pc-1185-4-adara.aspx?navcategories=3,121

Fortunately, I have a Crocs Outlet store close by and have been able to get some great deals there.
Mickey usually is eating up socks, find them in the yard all of the time!!! I love Cleo too, my favorite, Adara is cool though : ) I SOOOOO wish we had the outlet near by, well you know what, I guess I'm happy they don't ;)

by the way, i don't know if you've had a chance to look at the crocs website lately, but they have a ton of new styles.

i got these on sale about 2 months ago and i LOVE them! they're so comfy. the only thing is they're closed-toe so i don't know that would be for florida in june!

http://shop.crocs.com/pc-550-4-celeste-canvas.aspx?navcategories=3,4
Those are awesome, but yeah, probably not for June, but I may get them for another time, thanks!

we saw wicked in NYC (haven't gotten that far in my TR yet) and it was SO AMAZING!!!! i'm hoping it comes back to atlanta sometime soon so i can see it again.

sorry to laugh....i feel your pain! although my doggies have never chosen crocs to destroy, only those cheap old navy flip flops. when eli was a puppy he got one of my navy blue flips flops and ATE the WHOLE THING! all that was left was the thong part that goes over your foot. i called the vet and she said to give him 2 tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide and he'd puke it up. it worked! he puked like 5 times and every time was full of navy blue rubber!
Yeah yeah, laugh away ; ) Ohhhh, that's crazy, glad I didn' thave to make him puke, YUCK!

That stinks about your crocs

Glad you had a nice time in INDY

Yay for no school and making to do lists :cool1:
We did have a nice time, YEAH indeed ; )

so glad you guys enjoyed Wicked!
wow--what a packing list--but isn't nice when you can start checking off each item?
Wicked is so great! Yes, checking things off a list makes me HAPPY : )
OOOh Noooo!

shoebuy.com

You can ususally find a code for 20% off and they ususally deliver crocs in 4 days/free shipping/free returns

I have the same style (among many other styles!). So comfy!
Yeah, I love shoebuy, I actually got a great deal on amazon.com so I went with that : )

Sorry!!! But that visual is HILARIOUS!!!! You are right, what an expensive chew toy!:headache:

Love the packing list!!! You inspired me to post ours too!!:goodvibes
Sure, laugh away Diane : ) I'll have to check out your list and compare.
I soooooo agree! We love our purple locker!

I'll bet Mickey enjoyed chewing your crocs.........Hope you find some new ones that you love!
O.K, how much are these lockers???

You soooooooo need an Owner's Locker. ;)
How much are they?
Great lists! I heart lists too! I couldn't live without them. You reminded me of a few things for our trip out west in August! Thanks!

Sorry about your Crocs! Our puppy, now 1 1/2, chewed my fave flip flops last year. We gotta see pics of your new Crocs!

Please! ;)
I heart lists too!!!! Glad I helped you be reminded of what you forgot for your trip, have fun out west, I've been to Glacier National Park, it was awesome!
Lesley

Don't worry Lesley! When my dog was a puppy, and before DH and I were married, he chewed my husbands ENTIRE couch up, favorite sneakers and fav baseball hat. We crated him after that!!! I think he chewed until he was 2 yrs old. Funny how he never really chewed up anything of mine
OMG!!!! Tim would probably sell the dog if he did that : )

Hey Leslie! I jut got all caught up and I love how organized you are! I haven't really been thinking about my own trip all that much, but reading about your got me psyched about getting back into planning  Congrats on being done with school for the summer! I hope you all have a lot of fun these next few weeks leading up to the trip, and then even more fun in Disney. It's almost here!! :woohoo:
So glad you enjoyed the organization, good luck getting back int planning mode!

Oh no I can't believe Mickey ate your crocs  ! maybe he missed you . I guess if you don't find any at the stores then you can always get Mickey athens when you get to Disney. Hope you were able to find a new pair of cleo's though. I use the same packing list.
I can't believe it either. I was able to find Cleo's but they were HARD to find!
Thanks so much for putting your packing list on here! I've been asking for different people's... Yours is so detailed! :thumbsup2 So sorry about your Crocs...big bummer. I'm glad you like Wicked though! I've never been, but everyone says it's amazing. Oh--and CONGRATS on finishing your last day at school!!! :cheer2:
You are welcome, glad I could help! It's been perfected over the years : )

Tim and his brother look a ton alike, don't they? I'm so sorry about your Crocs. My doggy has done similar naughty things. What Crocs are your favorites? I think I might pick up a pair this year but need something still stylish of course.
Cleo's are my favorites by far, LOVE THEM. Yes, Tim and Jon do look a LOT alike : ) Tim is one of SEVEN kids, Jon is closest to him in age.

Wow! You are seriously organized! Don't you wish we had that much organization in our everyday lives?! Sorry about the crocs - !! I noticed on your list the stroller with bandana - I may have missed this already but are you not renting a stroller this year? for 16 days!!!
Oh yes, I am organized when it comes to Disney. We aren't renting, bringing a Maclaren Volo for Lauren, Luke is walking this year : ) We'll see how it goes but he needs to. We'll just take it slower.
I love lists!!!

I'm a list maker too. I just love crossing things off.

I'm so sorry about your crocs. We have a Golden too and he really loves my shoes. I think it's because I'm the one who walks him. He brings them to me at night and when I'm not home he chews them, punishment I think. Our Golden is named Max, the most original dog name.
Gotta love lists. Goldens are the best, when they are NOT chewing ; )

Great update Lesley. We have Wicked on the West End over here in London. Keep saying i will go and see it.

Hope your having a good weekend. Not long now!

Sarah

:eek:BAD, BAD DOGGY!!!:dog2:
You still LOVE:love: him though!
Wicked is an awesome show but
I have to ask...do you like it better
then Jersey Boys??:flower3:

You're lists are FANFREAKINTASTIC!! I'm glad that you liked Wicked. My bff watched it in Chicago and she loved it!!
Um, I think that there are a lot of us here that feel the shoe loss pain. My Disney likes to chew on the heels of shoes. Dangit! Happy you found yourself another pair of Cleo's.

Lesley, here's the link to owners locker http://www.ownerslocker.com/
If you are interested they sometimes run a discount on the DIS for like $25 off on a first locker..... I think we paid $75 for our first year using the discount.

They have it waiting for us when we arrive and they pick it up when we leave.
We have been talking about getting a second, it sure makes packing much easier!

:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Talked with my Cincy family this weekend, they were doing a birthday party at a rock climbing wall. I thought of you guys and your fast approaching trip.
Just catching up on yours and Diane's PTR. I can't imagine how excited you guys must be getting. Love your packing list.
Couldn't help but laugh at your crocs dilema. We have a 7 mth old lab that I swear has kicked into chewing overdrive. I lost a pair of old navy flip flops to the "Katienator" as we now call her. At least they were cheap. We've also lost the screen on our deck door and several other things.:rotfl: Gotta love puppies.
Can't wait to follow along on your trip!

So glad you enjoyed Wicked again!!!! It is on my to-see list for musicals....hope I can check that one off soon!

So sorry to hear about the Crocs though......an expensive chew toy indeed!!!!

I am holding on to your packing list...you know how I love a good list!!!! When you get to that point, I get SO excited!!! It becomes so real and so tangible!!!! YEAH!

So yesterday was my FINAL day to get up early and go to school. It was a teacher work day so I just had to go in a few hours. Tim and the kids picked me up and we headed to Indianapolis. He and his brother (who came in from North Carolina for a visit for a few days) headed to the Childrens museum with the kids and me and my sister in law Rachel headed to WICKED!
Pretripreport001Small.jpg

The show did NOT disappoint, if you ever have a chance to see WICKED, see it. Tim and I had seen it before and this was just as good if not better this time around. Rachel had never seen it and she was just blown away.
We met up with the guys at the Weber Grill restaraunt and had a great dinner.
Here is Tim's brother Jon and Rachel at dinner:
Pretripreport003Small.jpg

Tim and I at dinner:
Pretripreport004Small.jpg

They have two kids Jaxen and Kennedy. Jaxen isn't quite 1 yet so he stayed at home with grandma for the day, but Kennedy came along. The cousins had fun together:
Pretripreport008Small.jpg

What a GREAT day and an awesome way to kick off the summer, I'm free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, then we drove home ( a neighbor had let Mickey out for us and fed him dinner).
I came home to a pile of Crocs in pieces. MY CROCS, BOTH pairs, DESTROYED!!!!!:scared1:
Pretripreport007Small.jpg

AUGH!!!!!!!!!
Add that to my Disney to do list, the kids and I need to head out and get new pairs today for me. BUMMER! That was the most expensive chew toy he could have found, gotta love puppies.
16 days until Disney guys!!!!!:yay::woohoo: It's going to be so busy up until we leave. Luke has tons of baseball games, track camp, dentist and a doctors appointment. I have a doctors appointment and a to do list to make and TONS of things to buy and get ready. Tim has DJ events and tons of DVD slideshows for graduations and Father's Day he needs to churn out, Lauren has swim lessons and birthday parties to attend. Should make the time just FLY by, I better start working on that to do list : )
I'll post it when I'm done;)
Lesley

Hi, Lesley! I'm usually just a lurker, but when I saw that you'd seen Wicked in Indy, I had to say something. I went with my boyfriend to see it in Indy on Saturday afternoon. I thought the cast was great!

I forgot to tell you above that I finally booked my September trip.....the report is started...there is a link in my siggie!!! WHAT A RELIEF it is to have it FINALLY booked! ;)

Yes, you really need to go see it, it's a GREAT show! When I went the first time I wasn't expecting much but I was just BLOWN away!
Not long at all:cool1:

:eek:BAD, BAD DOGGY!!!:dog2:
You still LOVE:love: him though!
Wicked is an awesome show but
I have to ask...do you like it better
then Jersey Boys??:flower3:
Yes, bad bad doggy, but he's still my baby:love: Actually I must say although Jersey Boys is a great show, Wicked is better, much better actually!

You're lists are FANFREAKINTASTIC!! I'm glad that you liked Wicked. My bff watched it in Chicago and she loved it!!

You cracked me up when I read your post. Yes, Wicked is awesome, glad you liked the lists. Yes, found two new pairs of cleos so I'm a happy Lesley : )

Thanks, I'll have to talk to Tim about it. I would want to do it on a trip we had a car though so we could hit a Walmart and load it up good the first time.

Very cool, thanks for thinking of us. Glad you enjoyed the packing list. Yes, you have to laugh, that's why I posted the pics. Good luck with your "Katienator" ;)

Yes, put it on your list to see for sure, although Mary Poppins comes to the Aranoff next year, can't wait!!!! Glad you enjoyed the list.
Hi, Lesley! I'm usually just a lurker, but when I saw that you'd seen Wicked in Indy, I had to say something. I went with my boyfriend to see it in Indy on Saturday afternoon. I thought the cast was great!
Well, glad you decided to post, yes, wasn't it amazing! I think it was the same Elfaba I saw in Cincy but the Glinda was hysterical, especially in the "popular" scene, I was dying laughing :rotfl:
I forgot to tell you above that I finally booked my September trip.....the report is started...there is a link in my siggie!!! WHAT A RELIEF it is to have it FINALLY booked! ;)
YEAH!!!!!!!!! That is awesome, I'll check it out! Happy planning!

Hi guys, we are officially at the 12 day mark (11 days until we leave to drive up to Indy) :dance3::yay::woohoo::cheer2::banana::cool1::banana: (I always have o throw in more dancing bananas for Lauren - they are her FAVORITE ; )
I am so excited, today was payday from University of Phoenix and my check is 900 dollars MORE than I thought it would be:dance3: so that will help as a nice cushin if we need it while away- WOO HOO!!!:thumbsup2
So, here is my list of what I need to buy before we go:
-Sunscreen (4 spray ones-that should be enough for the 4 of us for 2 1/2 weeks right??:confused3)
-Deoderant for Tim and I
-hair clips/barretts for Lauren and me
-more of those disposable poncho's
-travel hairspray
-floatie for Lauren for the pool
-lip balm with sunscreen
- makeup for me (I'm running low and need some for the trip)
-snacks (baked cheetos, fruit chewies, gum for the plane)
-anti bacterial wipes (2 packs- small ones for my purse)
-activity books for the plan for the kids
-mousse
-shampoo/conditioner
-toothpaste (reg. and travel size)
-laundry detergent (small one for a few loads- any suggestions?? and a stain stick)
-razors for Tim and I
-bath gel
-more underwear for Lauren (poor girl just keeps on growing and I did a count yesterday and she needs more before we leave)
-more shorts for Lauren (she needs a few more pairs of those too)

So I'll hit the store probably tomorrow or the next day and start marking these off the list.
Lauren has her first swim lesson today, Luke loved track camp yesterday and still has that through Thursday. He did great at his ball game last night - his team is officially tied for first place which is cool:thumbsup2 I am PRAYING our furniture finally arrives this week so we can get our clothes out of bins and into a dresser and THEN bring suitcases up and start putting clothes in them.
Have a good rest of the week everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lesley

Wow!!! Congrats on the extra $$, that's always a blessing. I'm sure that you kind find a way to "need" it on your 17 days in Disney! Just a little info on the shorts for Lauren, I work at JCPenney and almost the entire section of girls is on clearance! PLUS!!! Clearance has an extra 20% off the clearance price!! There are some great deals. It's worth checking out.

So, here is my list of what I need to buy before we go:
-Sunscreen (4 spray ones-that should be enough for the 4 of us for 2 1/2 weeks right??:confused3)
-anti bacterial wipes (2 packs- small ones for my purse)

I love making the last-minute purchase list.....it always means you are getting close to trip time!!!!

Regarding the sunscreen....we have gone through 2+ of the spray bottles in a week before (they seem to go fast because I am always reapplying). If you are a sunscreen nut like me with the kids you may need more? Or at least a face stick too? I always overpack the sunscreen b/c it costs so much at WDW and we always need a lot.

Also - I overpack the anti bac wipes because we use a ton of those too..... airplane arm rests & trays, tables at the counter service spots, hotel room phone/remote/bathroom counter, hands throughout the day....I bring like 6 or so packets. (I know. Crazy) Anyway, just giving my unsolicited opinion. :thumbsup2

Sounds like you have plenty to keep you busy until you leave. This always makes to time go faster instead of dragging by!
