I took my father on this tour a year ago as a father's day present. He really liked it. The leader was guiding it for her very first time, so she was a bit hesitant and unsure of herself, but she did fine. We walked through the park with headsets on. They were connected to her microphone so we had no trouble hearing her. We also listened to clips of speeches and music. My father had a little trouble adjusting the headset with his hearing aids, but once he got both volumes set right he loved it.
We took the tour first thing in the morning and we were in Frontierland and Adventureland before they were open to the public. I got some great pictures of those lands totally empty. My father likes Disney and history but he's not someone who's a real expert on Disney. I think if you are a major Disney fan the only new information might be the glimpse into Club 33.
The tour lasted about 3 hours, I think, and included lunch. We had one break when we had time to get a snack (not included) or visit the restroom. We received a pin at the end.
