Discounts the week of Dec 6?

Does it seem to you that Disney will not offer a discount that week? I'll bet it's because of the Pop Warner event. I'm not part of it, but that was the only week we could go in December. What do you think? On a scale of 1 - 10, what are my odds of getting a discount that week.

Yes this week is often blocked out of discounts. We got the 40% pin (twice this year) and both times those dates are not included. We leave on the cruise on Dec. 6 and lucked out and got the discount for Dec. 4 & 5. Your odds of getting a discount, or even a room during that week, are slim. Yes, it's because the Pop Warner groups fill several resorts and lots of folks move to avoid them. I think your odds are a "1" of getting a discount (just wanted to leave you with a gimmer of hope.

Thanks for the heads up on room availability, I'm going to book tonight. The discount would of been really nice, but I'm wondering if it means it'll be even less crowded (other than those Pop Warner kids) since others will want the discounted room. (I'm an optimist)

There were not any codes or discounts offered during Pop Warner week last year.

bummer! we got a great discount, that saved us $300 per room on our moderate, in Dec 2006. I guess they stopped that. mind you that was a public code released in august, so maybe there is hope yet?

We're staying 12/11 through 12/15 at BC. Used 40% discount code for 2 of the nights 13 & 14. I did get AAA for 11 & 12, but it had to be two separate reservations linked together. Hopefully, they won't make us switch rooms.
Went last year at same time and yep, Pop Warner week they block. Maybe if bookings aren't up, they will offer something as we get closer to Dec.

There was a free dining offer December 14 - 21, but it was only for those received an email pin code offer from Disney Destinationa or those that were Disney Visa Card holders. There was no general public offer.

I got a pin code for free dining that week, and that is the week we are already booked for, so saved some $$$

The pin codes that came out 6/15 for free dining included the Pop Warner week. I just switched from AAA discount to free dining for the Treehouses and got free dining for 6 adults and one child by giving up the $109 a night discount from AAA! Keep checking your Spam folder because that's where I found my offer even though I had added disney destinations to my address book.

Yes, we did also. Checked in on the 7th of Dec and Pop Warner wasn't a problem for availability for us at all. We stayed at Carribean Beach.

I am still hoping for something again!
