Discounts on Universal Passes

:cool1: Well I guess we will be up all night.
We are planning to arrive on the 5th or 6th.

Hello to all the Universal experts!:goodvibes

We've never been able to drag ouselves off Disney property, so I admit to being completely ignorant on all matters Universal, but over the weekend I saw the ticket promo for the 7 days/2 parks, $79.99, and DH and I discussed whether we should grab the tickets for use somewhere down the road. Since then I notice the price is $89.99.

So my questions are: Is this still a good deal? We probably won't go to Universal until after Harry Potter opens (DS is a huge fan) so will the tickets still be good if we wait another couple of years? Just thinking this might be a good way to lock in a good price for a future visit.

Thanks in advance!:)

Does anyone know the best rates for Universal? All the great bargains are for seven days but we aren't spending all our week at one park. The best I found so far are AAA 2/day 2/park $68.95(A)/$57.95(C). I found a three day, pay for two days 3rd free for $88.50 at Sam's Club. 1/day 1/park AAA for$49.95. AARP has a seven day unlimited(what unlimited means, not sure) for $73.49, which is much better than AAA senior for $79.95. Hope this helps someone.

Buy your tickets now...it is a great deal and the prices will most likely only increase...ESPECIALLY after Harry moves in :teeth:

It will depend 1)when you are going and 2)where you are staying. Here's why: If you are going at a slow time (off peak/season), you can stay offsite (or on) and get about everything in in a day or two.

If you are going during the busy season, and stay offsite, you need to allow 3 days to get thru both parks.

If you are staying onsite (either off or on peak/busy season), it doesn't matter....then allow 1-2 days to get thru both parks.

Either way, if you purchase the 3 day ticket...it's still like getting 4 days free :thumbsup2

Jo'Michelle, where did you find the AAA 2/day 2/park $68.95? I went on the AAA site and it took me to a Universal page but the rate was $89.99 for the unlimited. We'll only be in the parks for two days. I will check in personally with the AAA office.

Just thought I'd share, my Mom was in Fort Lauderdale over 4th of July weekend, and found the annual powerpass at Publix for 99.99 still. They also had the ones for 114.95. The cheaper ones had Spider Man, whereas the newer ones had the Simpsons. needless to say, I told her to buy Spidey for $15 less!

I am leaving tomorrow ( Mexico) and couldn`t find a good deal on tickets for 2 days should I wait to the gate? Macraven any suggesstion for me since you know a lot. Is it raining all day ? Thanks,

i'm not in orlando but up in chicago area.
rain stopped this morning here.

didn't see rain in orlando yet on the weather channel.

if you can't find a deal tonight for the 2 day tickets, you will be forced tobuy them at the gate.

you might be better off buying the 7 day 2 park passes for that price and be able to squeeze more time going to the parks.

i'll try to research for you later tonight but will that be too late for you?
i'll send you a pm when i find something besides here on this thread.

Hi everyone,

I bought tickets months ago through Universal's sale of 81.00 per person for 7 days/2 park pass (awesome deal).

I printed them out on the computer. But I just realized something. They are pieces of paper....do I have to carry around these sheets of paper for 7 days to work or can I get a 'hard ticket' once I arrive?

Go to guest services and they will swap them out for you.

Hello. I came across a code to receive a second day and second park for free. So basically, you buy a one-day, one-park and get a two-day, two-park at the same rate. There does not seem to be a place to put the code on the website, so I had to purchase it over the phone. The code is: NESTLE08. You can find this code on a 24 pack of Zephyrhills water. Hope this helps!!

tlinus --- that is sooooooo good to know.

Last question: Would I go to the Guest Services at the resort, or somewhere at the parks?
