This was the exact time we went last year and yes, the crowds were quite manageable, aside from the day they taped the Christmas parade and Justin Bieber was there....GOOD GOSH!!!!
Just getting on the monorail (can't remember where we were going, but weren't going to MK) as soon as it opened was hell on earth with excited tweens, teens and Mom's....CRAZY!

We ended up with a pretty nice discount at that time too, but ended bumping it up to the military discount which was actually higher at the time.

We wanted to do that week again this year, but since the military option states it can only be used once per year, we decided to play it safe and go just after that.

It was in my opinion, THE best time to go!

Holiday decorations were up, crowds were low and prices were pretty reasonable as well!

There are no general public discounts available for that time frame, yet. There have been pin code offerings, including the coveted free dining, for your time frame, so it may be worth contacting Disney to see if you have a code attached to your name, even if you didn't receive one by mail or email.

Also look into Mousefan Travel company. (mousefantravel.com) They have some specials at that time for their Mousefan Reunion-2012. That's exactly when we are looking to go this year--hoping to stay at the Beach Club. I had forgotten about the parade taping! That means the big Christmas tree won't be up in front of the train station. Oh well, I can live with that. Maybe it goes up Sunday or Monday after the parade so I might still get to see it.

That was the biggest disappointment that I had when I walked into the MK back in 2010 - no tree!! Also, later in the week, prior to parade taping, they had taken all the garland over mainstreet down as well.

What was odd was that back in 2008 (?) they had the tree up pre-parade but it was located near the Tomorrowland entrance, then after the parade was filmed it was moved back to its normal location. As long as I'm ranting, even more disappointed in 2010 when I went to EPCOT and saw that they no longer had the lit up arches leading up to the tree. Totally floored me not to see that and couldn't figure out why, other than to save a nickel or two.

Friday November 30th is the performance day
Saturday December 1st is the parade taping day
And Sunday is their rain day.....

There isn't any info on it yet, CM's said call back closer to the fall/winter
