Discounts May - June

I have never booked during this time of year, we usually go for MNSSHP w/free dining, so I am wondering if there are discounts for May - June. We are planning on going during this time next year. I realize there are never any gurantees but hoping..... and is there anywhere I can check for discounts offered in previous years????

Very few discounts for that timeframe. Earlier May had some AP and FLorida resident discounts, but no discounts for the general public. There might be some AAA discounts. As for June (and July) discounts last year and this year are slim to none. None for the general public during this very busy time of year. Higher rates because of the New Summer Resort Rate catagory on value and moderate resorts. Very limited discounts for AP holders and Florida residents and the discounts are only on a couple of DVC locations (SSR & OKW) and some of the EPCOT resort areas (BWI, YC&BC). If you prepare yourself for no discounts then you'll be pleased if one unexpectedly comes out. But don't be too disappointed if they don't appear. BTW: there are some AP holder discounts on moderate resorts (can't remember if it's both June and July, or July only -- but with the higher summer rates they are discounted at the low rate of $139 a night before tax, still pretty high, especially what you're use to paying if you've been going during value season in the past). Be prepared for a shock.

unfortunately, checking historical data is not going to be an indicator of present or future. we always go in June/July and for the past few years...no room discounts to be had for our time frame. We compensate by using a values resort, the DDE plan, Disney reward dollars on our VISA, AP holder for all it's discounts...all combined make for very enjoyable trips. IMO your biggest saver will be your resort. We choose a value so we can stay 10-11days. June 15--Here we come ASMo !

I'm not sure if you are talking room only or package deals, but we just took our first trip 4/29 - 5/5. We were able to get a discount code through mousesavers. We got a free upgrade for park hopper and the water park option using a code on mousesavers. It was also part of the "wonderful weeks of Disney" where they were offering packages for $1600 per week at the values. We ended up staying at POR for a little more with the dining plan. You can sign up for mousesavers to receive their free monthly newsletter. I think is a great source for discount codes! Hope this helps!

It's nice to get the perks, but worth the money and the look on my niece's face so alls good..... She is in the 5th grade so going on Oct isn't possible... DH has stated when she graduates he wants to take her MNSSHP..... I told him thats a long ways away.....
