Discounts for DL in Jan?

We are going to DL in Jan (pre-cruise) with my cousin and his family. We are DVC owners and are staying at GCV. My cousin and his family don't have reservations yet and are trying to decide where they will stay. They would love to be at GCV with us, but it's looking cost-prohibitive. Right DL is running the stay 3 nights, get 2 free (or something like that?) through Dec. Does anyone have any predictions if that will be extended through Jan. Or what might be offered then?

It's hard to say. DLR had really poor lodging numbers last year and probably will need discounts for quite a while.

Most likely though is if you need park tickets for 3 days or more you'll find a deal on those. They are fairly common and January is slow right after New Years ends.

Have them call and reserve a room only at the DLH or PPH or where they want to stay. I did so yesterday, and the agent said if any specials crop up I can call and they will apply them to our reservation (we'd convert to a package at that point). A room only reservation is totallly refundable if you cancel at least 5 days prior. And you can convert it to a package at any point by calling.
