Discounts at the Poly, in the future

After the DVC is completed at the Poly, do you think there will be less rooms available for the special Labor Day discounts there that is with a certain travel agency? (In the future) This will probably be the only way we will ever be able to afford a stay there and I am hoping that we can utilize this discount in the future at some point.

If memory serves, this is only the second year Poly has even been included in that discount. With all WDW discounts, it's luck of the draw and completely dependent on whatever WDW wants to discount at any given time. If you really want to take advantage of that particular discount, you should probably book it for next year.

And if you do book for next year, book quickly. They had to add more rooms because the first block sold out, and they will likely sell the next block quickly, too.

Rooms were already limited (3 longhouses closed) for this year's Agency Exclusive dates as well as next. Due to the DVC construction... I think Disney offered a deeper discount than usual for the Polynesian.

We originally asked for a quote at the BC and WL... the difference between the two was minimal. Think along the lines of Disney's usual RO discounts... because the WL may be 20% off and the BC 35% off... there's little difference between the two... but the BC would be a 'better deal.'

Curious as to how other resorts were reflected... I asked for quotes at the GF and Poly. The difference between the Poly and BC was less than $20/nt... nearly unheard of considering there's roughly a $90/nt (rack rate) difference.

I would still expect to see the Poly offered next year... though I don't anticipate it being nearly as 'deep' as it was for 2014 and 2015 travel. Taking the rates of the BC and GF into consideration... I would think the Poly would increase at least $25-$30/nt for 2016.

Given that it will be newly refreshed, redesigned, and construction free... don't be surprised to see it closer in [discounted] price tag to the GF... similar to how the WL and BC is.

It's hard to say what 'demand' would be going forward... but the sooner you book the better. We were 2 or so weeks late this year and had little difficulty with availability (9 nights.)

From other threads I saw you're an Orbitz user.

If you get a 30% discount plus a 15% promo code, that's 41% off rack rate. And isn't it sometimes 35% off Deluxe, plus 20% Orbitz codes? How does that compare to the special rate you got?

I just booked this rate today four nights beach club (@$169) and 4 nights poly (@$223)... Less than 1/2 rack rates at the time it looks like. Was told poly is almost gone but they have plenty of the other left, if you're looking. Always wanted to stay at the poly!

all of the resort prices are great....it just depends on where you want to stay! Not sure if anyone has calculated the percent off of rack for each resort but they all look good to me. And daggone.....the sale goes on for over half of the month!

Have you thought about renting points to stay at the DVC resorts? It is much less expensive than rack rate. Check out the DVC section on these boards. Good luck!

I booked the Magical deal for last August (2014) in February 2014, then they added rooms again in the late spring as I recall.

You're welcome! I couldn't book when I first got the quote, and the TA told me to contact them when I could, and they'd let me know what was open. That was mid October, and it seems they still have plenty. We decided to wait until the following spring, but I hope they still do this for our next trip! Sounds like, from what pp said, you should be ok. Good luck with everything!!
