What is the best way to get a discount at the Disney hotels at Disneyland?
We are looking at the last week in June or first week in July for about four nights.

We have never been to Disneyland. We have been to Disneyworld a few times and stayed at Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge and Swan and Dolphin. I think we would be happiest at the disney owned hotels but the prices are a bit high right now.

We would like a great pool area for us and the kids to take a mid day break.

We are looking for a room only package. We're planning to get the southern california city pass which includes a 3 day park hopper to disneyland.

Does disney offer room only pin codes for disneyland like they do for disneyworld? If so, what's the best way to get one?

Do they generally offer any promotions for summer time at disneyland? When are they usually released?

Thanks for any help. :cool1:

The usual mysteries around PIN codes apply:confused3, BUT, I have noticed I have received email PINs for Disneyland hotels (35% off selected dates) after going on Disneyland.com, signing in and pricing out hotels for certain dates. I don't know if this actually helps, but does seem a coincidence. The last PIN I had was for dates up to the end of May with certain blackouts, bookable until Feb 28th, so there may be another one soon.

Your dates are high season though, and I don't know if they do one for that time period. Unlike Disneyworld, they only have 3 hotels to fill so they may not need to offer anything for summer. Good Luck:thumbsup2

They did have special offers for summer last year. They were announced early April after the spring promo purchase deadline. If there are any deals, they will come out after April 1. However with the hype of WOC opening, I wouldn't expect them to offer any deals.

We got a deal at the GCH last August but it did not come out until April. Did get a 35% pin code but it was only good until April 29th.

If you book at full price, and a discount does surface in April can you apply it to your current reservation like you can at WDW, or do you have to cancel and re-book? I am in the same boat. I want to book DLH for late June and I am in a bit of a quandry because I never pay full price at WDW. There, I can usually get AAA if nothing else, but all the standard room rates are already sold out so I am leaning towards just booking a package at (gasp!) full price and getting the most out of the extras in the package/

The only deal you're most likely to get is the pin code one. Every so often, Expedia, will have rooms for a discounted price, but I've only encountered this once. It was on our very first trip, and we booked thru them.

You can apply it to the current ressie. When I spoke to the CM today, I was told anytime you want to apply a discount just call and ask them to do so.

Sorry about my ignorance, but what it's WOC?

World of Color. Not sure what it is exactly- just that everyone is looking fwd to it, it's supposed to be cool, and there will be huge crowds coming from all over to see it.

Before I got my AP, I got a 35% off discount since I'm a Disney Visa Card holder and put the balance on that card. That is probably the best credit card I've ever signed up for. If you don't know much about it or have never heard from someone what their experiences are feel free to PM me.
