I've come to the conclusion that the AP discount cards available exceed the demand. I wonder, from a Disney standpoint, if this will be a suscessful promotion for them.

But anyway, I live in Orlando and will be at WDW on Friday and on Sunday. I have 4 available. PM for details.

What would define success? I don't think this can actually fail in any regard.

But if every current AP holder expected to get 4x6 $25 cards as part of this promotion, they have their expectations set WAY too high.

Remember, we are a small subset of Disney's guests. We just have a forum by which we can exchange this stuff fairly easily. I suspect a great majority of these will go unused simply because people won't know anyone who can use them.

This isn't some stupid KFC promotion.

I have to agree on places like here on the DIS and other forums.

I think I will just go down and stand by the gates hacking my cards that way.

I'll be there from June 16-26th maybe a sandwich sign would not attract to much attention lol

May be this will pick up again with the July crowd, who knows Some Disers don't post all the time like some of so and might only get on closer to their trip.

My cousin (10 yr old) just got her MM today, but I had already gotten a Pass Along card from another generous Diser. I told her mom to come here and put out the word.

If someone wants one I will have her forward them to you, she has 4.

Oh I know its a thought out promo. But (after its over) I wonder if they will have made the #'s that they project.

I hope it ends up being very successful. Because Disney's profits were down for the 1st quarter this year.

I think it will be successful or them. There will likely be many people who will purchase an AP because of the discount. Us existing AP holders know all about the AP mentaility - "I have an AP so I have to get the most out of it." It isn't just about the ticket sale itself - it is about getting people thru the gate more and spending money on the food, and t-shirts, light spinners, etc. The more people they get to come more often the more successful the program will be.

I will have to say that I was shocked when I opened my mailbox today and found not 1 but 3 Mickey Monitors waiting for our family. I have sent off a few of these but I have still have more to give. If I don't get rid of them, I may just have to put them on the counter at one of the ticket windows at one of the parks. What is the worst that can happen - they get thrown away (same thing I will do if I do not find someone to give them to.)
