Discount rates at Wilderness Lodge

Does anyone know what the AP or FL resident rate typically is at WL for the junior suites (regular or value season)? Or do they even discount those? We're hoping to stay here on our next trip and had planned to go with the woods view - but the extra room would be nice, as we plan to spend alot more time at the resort this time.

I don't think they discount those very much or often. When I was checking for AP rates this fall during the code time, I was quoted a rate of $435 for a Deluxe (formally Jr. Suite) which was rack. I've read others feel that getting two connecting rooms is cheaper than a deluxe since you'll get good discounts on regular rooms (standard, woods, and courtyard) and none on a deluxe. Plus, you'll get much more room with two connecting rooms over a deluxe and you get an extra bath (deluxe's have just one bath).

Might be something to consider.

That's pretty much what I was expecting. Oh well - definitely can't justify that price!! And honestly, can't really justify two rooms either - our kids are only 7 and 3. I was just hoping someone was going to say - "Oh yeh, we got a suite for $150!!" Hey, a girl can dream, can't she?

Just for comparison, this past fall Standard rooms were going for about $109/night + tax with a good code discount. That's hard to turn down when compared with a deluxe.

Our ressie for next Dec is $169 + tax for a Standard with a AAA discount. I'm planning on a good code for a woods (we did courtyard last trip, but this time want a quiet room looking at MK), or a really good code for the Poly. The Poly is my dream. But then the whole place is kind of a dream to begin with--and that's the fun.

BTW, have a great time on your trip. I just noticed your timer. I'm VERY envious.
