Discount during Super Soap weekend?

Hi everyone,

I am planning on visiting WDW the second week of Nov '05. Right now, I'm booked w/ AAA rate at the WL, but obviously want to use a code if/when they are released.

My travel agent told me that the weekend of Nov 12-13 MAY be Super Soaps weekend this year (actual dates haven't been released yet) and, if so, the resorts may be very crowded. As a result, discount codes may not be available that weekend. Now I'm worried that I may not be able to get the discounted rate that I'm hoping for. We'd be checking in a few days before the weekend, so maybe the rate would apply for my checkin date and for the rest of my stay.

Has anyone here been able to use discount codes during Super Soaps weekend in previous years? How about checking in a few days before the weekend?

I was there last year and had an AP code for CBR that weekend. It was $79 per night. That weekend should be considered Off-Season. The crowds were heavy that weekend at MGM. I will also tell that during our trip it was also The Festival of the Masters, and Stitch was opening. good luck and have a great trip.

Last year, SSW also coincided with the final weekend of the F&W festival and Veterans Day. When the discounts came out last year, they did not apply for that particular weekend. I had a AAA rate booked at Pop Century. Somehow, a few weeks after the discounts came out, I did manage to get the discount rate online even though the offer said it wasn't good for that time period. Not sure how...

I would hold on to your AAA rate and just see what happens.

I stayed at POR starting on the Friday of Super Soap Weekend/Final weekend of F&W festival 2004. We did get to use the BAT(?)discount code, even for the Friday/Sat nites, even though the Disney website said this could could not be used for those nites. I stayed fro $85/nite($94 w/tax)for all 4 nites. I did call CRO to add the code to my stay.

Last November, we stayed at Poly during SSW and used a postcard rate. The postcard did say that particular weekend was blocked out, but the CM told me as long as we booked our trip for more than just that weekend, we could get the discount for our entire stay.

I was also able to get a discount last Nov for SSW. I received an email and DU was able to get the discount rate ($74 w/o tax at CSR) even though the email said that weekend was blacked out. I had booked the room earlier at $84 and emailed DU as soon as I got the discount notice. It was great to have DU handle everything.
