Discount Coming March 1

How do you find out how full resorts are for a particular time?

I check on disneyworld.com. I put in the dates (usually 2week periods) at the different resorts and see how much availability there is. If most or all categories are available, I assume there's plenty of room. I also check under the specials to see how much they're filling up. I realize you can't know exactly how many rooms there are, but it gives you an idea....:)

I'm with y'all - I hope they release more discounts for 2012 :thumbsup2

When do the discounts for fall travel usually come out?

See the historical data for discounts:

http://www.mousesavers.com/historicalwdwdiscounts.html#codetrends

While a historical discount does not indicate that one will be released for this year, it does give you an idea of how far in advance they release the discounts and what has been offered during certain times of the year.

What I get out of this is that the discounts are not released 6 months in advance (when you need to make ADRs) but rather 2 or 3 months in advance and sometimes less. But take it with a grain of salt and don't count on ANY discounts. If one isn't released, you will be disappointed.

What happens if your paid in full and a GP promo comes out on March 1. Currently I am booked for April 8-13 with no discount since its Easter week. If something comes out that includes my dates and I am already paid in full will they refund me the difference?

I'm pretty sure they will refund you the difference, minus a $50 change fee. As long as the discount is more than $50, it is completely worth it to rebook with the discount. Good luck! --Katie

Sometimes Disney Visa holders get a week advance crack at these - if this is the case and something public is coming 3/1, the visa offer could be this upcoming Thursday or Friday.

Last year they sent out free dining pins on March 1st (just checked my email, don't know why I haven't deleted it!) from 4/23-8/13. I did get one but didn't end up using it because for 2 people the better deal with the GP 30% summer discount.

ekatiel is correct if you have a package. If you are less than 45 days from arrival, you will be refunded the difference minus a $50 change fee. If the change were to be made 45 days or more from arrival, there would be no change fee. If you have a room only reservation, you would be refunded the difference without a change fee provided the change was made 5 or more days prior to arrival :).

I sure hope this is true again this year :) Our trip is earlier this year due to my oldest son starting college ( :sad1: :sad1: ). I'm HOPING for a FD pin the 1st/2nd week of August!

Please Disney announce FD!

Crossing my fingers for FD for our Oct trip...can't go without it! We are flexible on the dates so hoping something happens.
