I was just reading over on the budget board that there is a new discount code available for WDW for Oct-NOV-DEc.

The code is BAT
Check out the budget board for more info. Sorry I don't know how to transfer a thread over to here.

I just booked 4 nights Dec 19/20/21/22 with WDW at all-star movies (in the Buzz building, my DS4 will go crazy over this) for $55 US per night plus tax!!!!!!! I am so excited, I will NEVER sleep tonight.

I hope my DH is ok with this. I had a previous rate of $36 US/nt at the Comfort Inn Lake Buena Vista inc. continental breakfast and shuttle.

Should I keep the Comfort Inn booking or stay at all-star movies for $55/night??????

Yikes!!! Any input/opinions would be greatly appreciated.
You see this was supposed to be a budget trip (drive to Panama City Beach and stay 7 nights in my moms condo on the beach and eat her food) now this WDW "side trip" has taken on a whole new meaning financially to us!! Double Yikes!!!! PLus, we are still going to Panama City for 7 nights as well.
And with only one income in our family (and a HUGE mortgage)...triple Yikes!!!!!!!!

PLEASE let me know what YOU would do in my situation!!!!!!

Thank-you,
Riu Girl:sunny:

I would keep All Star Movies in a heartbeat. You have a great rate and the place is so cute. Your DH won't care about the $19 difference when he sees the look on your son's face.

Sounds good to me..not much difference!

Does this mean that January is NEXT!?!

Should I check every day or wait a few weeks????:hyper:

can you tell I am excited? LOL:Pinkbounc

And Especially around Christmas Time!

At least that is what I hear but after this Christmas will be able to definately assure everybody!

I got the GF for almost 1/2 the rack rate due to BAT!

Life is Good!

Stay on Site!!!!

The only big problem with staying on site is that you will never want to stay off-site again.:hyper:

Scratch is right. The decorations are amazing. Plan some time to resort hop while you're there. Must do's are Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge. The trees are massive and some of the decorations are as big as my DS head.

If you have a car drive to the different resorts or at least to the TTC. It will cut down on your travel time immensely. If you have a PS ressie at one of the restaurants at the resort you will be able to park there with no problems for a few hours.

$19.00 a night difference can be saved up by skipping Tim Horton's a few days, eating a few more Kraft Dinner suppers, using lots of coupons while shopping etc.

Enjoy your days in Disney!! It's worth the little bit extra.

everyone is so right,
I when last christmas and I wasnt to sure before we left about spending christmas somewhere with palm trees being from the great white north and all,
But I had the best Christmas ever.
We stayed in All Star Sports this year we are staying at movies in Mighty Ducks my DS 10 is a goilie and is going to flip when he finds out.
He doesnt know we are going or that his older sister who doesnt live with us is going also.
Do you have tickets for MVMMCP ?
Staying on disney Prop. is so worth it.

and WHAT a GREAT RATE!!:)

Like Susan--Ontario said...you can make up the difference so easily!
Start scrounging the change out of the living room couch:),
clean out your closets and take them to a consignment shop:), have a LaborDay yard sale:),
give out one treat on Hallowe'en instead of three:)
Have hot dogs for Thanksgiving instead of Turkey:)

LOL!!
But you'll make it work...where there's a will, there's a way:)

Thanks so much for all of the information.

I forgot to mention that the room at the comfort Inn also included a small fridge and a microwave. Therefore, staying there will also save us some money on food.

Needless to say...
I am cancelling my room at the Comfort Inn and calling to apply payment to the room at All Star Movies!!! I spent hours last night looking at web sites for this resort.

I am so excited.

ANY tips on ASMo would be appreciated. We are requesting toy story area (for DS4) third floor. Does this sound ok or should I request something else?

DS4,DD7, and DH think we are still staying off-site. I am going to try not to tell them anything until we get to Lake Buena Vista in Dec.. But it is such a HUGE wonderful secret, I think I will burst keeping it to myself.

Off to Doe Lake girl guide camp for a week tomorrow with the kids. How will I do without DIS for a week?? Yikes!!

Thanks again

I think you can still save some money by eating all your breakfasts in the room. When we go down, we pack an empty soft sided cooler and ziplock freezer baggies at bottom of luggage and we stop at grocery store on way from airport to WDW hotel for milk, OJ, cereals. When we get to hotel, we fill baggies with ice and plop in milk and OJ and voila, we have breakfast at our ready! We change the ice in baggies once/day. We bring down our own plastic bowls and spoons and little sugar packets. Also, if you don't have your own portable cooler, we have picked up a cheap styrofoam cooler from the grocery store there and used it instead and then just left it in the room or pitched it out when we left. You've made the right choice to stay on site - you'll have a great time!

I'm so happy you got a discounted rate :sunny:
The convenience of staying on-sight is definately worth the extra money. I also try to save money on vacation by bringing a cooler and buying snacks, water, cereal, and cup-a-soup at a grocery store.
Your kids are going to love it! :Pinkbounc

 How do you find out about discount codes? Are they for everyone or just Canadians? Can you apply one to a one night reservation already made and paid for? Do you just phone Disney reservations and ask for codes? I'm not going till Feb. but every bit of savings will help.
