Here we are back at MK and lo and behold, Minnie's house (scheduled to be closed) was open after all!   so I was able to get the required photo and can stay in the club! :rotfl:

Yeah - More great pics! I love the boys shirts. I don't have enough customs for DS2. I've never made shirts. He only gets store bought shirts with easy appliques on them.

Ok...7 days to go and how many outfits to make?? Quite a few! I won't be sleeping this week because I'll be sewing in the middle of the night. I've got school (those pesky jobs get in the way), school (grad. classes - what am I thinking), C&C shows, and packing to do!
I wanted to show a couple of things I've been working on. This is Mayme's AK outfit:

and this is the Ariel top I've worked on today. I love the way it looks, but Ariel is very stiff. I used wonder under to attach her to white, appliqued, and then wonder undered that to the blue fabric. Any ideas of what I can do to make it not so stiff? This may just be a play shirt.

You go, girl! How cute! And your little munchkin is ADORABLE! I am loving the peasant top! I have got to try...deciding it's my next project! You did great! :yay:

Here we are at the PPP, now let me explain some of the footwear options :rotfl: DD10 insisted she needed nothing other than crocs and her feet would be fine, do not pack her any other shoes! So of course she got blisters at the airport, I had to buy her some socks at Disneyworld and she wore lovely socks and crocs for the first half of the vacation. DD2 is wearing Minnie pants and shoes under her Cinderella dress because she wore her minnie outfit the first part of the day. I brought all the pirate and princess stuff to change into and we stored it in a locker, then after dinner at Ohana, we went back to MK and changed. I forgot the leggings and shoes that go with the Cinderella outfit, so she had to be half Minnie and half Cinderella (got a few comments on that).

The next day was epcot. Lily wore her Nemo jumper and gauchos and the big kids wore appliqued mickey head/Nemo fabric shirts. Lily got THE MOST attention in this outfit! It was pretty much constant attention. By the end of the vacation, she would automatically smile and wave at everyone she saw as if she were in a parade. Instead of saying "thank you" when she receives a compliment, she nods her head and says "uh-huh!" No modesty there

Dinner at Garden Grill, Seth would rarely remove his jacket, even when it was hot! :headache:

People think we are CRAZY! I love almost every minute of it (notice I said almost ;) ). We have a 9 yo DS, a 6.5 yo DS, 4.5 yo DD, 2 and 3/4 yo DS, and our newest is 7 weeks (DD)!
And LOL to the ebay comment! My DH has threatened that!!

Oh I know...my favorite question is, "are they all yours?"...:lmao:
Congrats on the new babin! They're so fun! My little muffin is now 8 months old and it's gone by way too fast! If only my pregnancy had gone that fast....

All of these are gorgeous!

I love the Nemo outfit!

We bought the same red and black mickey fabric today to make my son a shirt exactly like that!:lmao: I'm glad it looks great!!!

I love your older daughter's clothes. While my dd is only 7 1/2 she is going on 15 if you know what I mean and will not wear most of the cutsie outfit with a ton of ruffles on it. She totally loved the clothes you had for your older daughter though. I have some great ideas. Thanks!!! :thumbsup2

Hey, you are the ONLY person to have ever read my (never finished) cruise TR! :rotfl:

I tried to quote your pics from Disneyland but that was one of the many times my internet crashed today. I think it's mad at us because we ignored it for a week! I love how your outfits turned out! The girls looked great in their skirts! I love the picture of Seli and Scout looking over the railing at Jedi Training Academy! And I have never seen all of your boys with such short hair before (okay, I've known them since birth, I guess I should say it's been a long time since they've all had such short hair!) Tell Hallden we went to Pizza Planet JUST FOR HIM!

So do most people/children wear crocs???

I've seen them, though we only have the basic pairs here -I've never seen girlyfied ones - all are the same clog shape, I thought they looked strange. So are they actually comfy??

DH has some knock offs that his dad gave him when they were boating, and I just can't see the appeal (sorry) maybe I need to find out more lol ;)

I almost forgot Animal Kingdom! And a funny story that goes with it. All 4 of my kids had black t-shirts with various animal print appliqued Mickey heads, the girls had bows so I guess theirs were Minnie heads :lmao: We spent the day at AK then had dinner at Boma at AKL. After dinner we were browsing around the AKL gift shop and this couple (probably in their 50's) cry out "there they are!" :confused3 and run up to us. They seem so happy to see us :confused3 The woman blurts out "where did you get those shirts? I have looked in every gift shop and have asked everyone and no one knows what I am talking about!" (they saw us earlier in the park) I said "oh, I made them" and both of their faces just fell. It was funny but sad. They really wanted those shirts! In hindsight I should've sold them the ones off my kids backs :rotfl: (just kidding) but it was the end of the day for us. Hmmm...

I saw a lot of people wearing crocs when we were in Disney last year. I never owned a pair until then...bought one while we were there, and they are so ugly (just my opinion)...but oh, so comfy!! LOL...My ds and dd love theirs, and wear everywhere.

I'm so excited, my first outfit to share on the new thread!! After much debating, i finally decided on my first ever twirl skirt for dinner at The Crystal Palcace! I love the way it turned out! I'll be making more of this type of skirt!! It is made from a storybook kit from Joann's.

What a great idea..I would have never thought about using a storybook kit to make a skirt. It looks great!

Personally I think they are rather ugly on women, not so much on men and frankly cute on children. That being said, I own several pair and love them! I have wide feet and I hate wearing shoes at all so in summer I mainly wear crocs and in winter I mainly wear Uggs (also ugly). They have a crocs store in the Orlando airport (was in it just yesterday). They sell lots of different styles including some very girlified ones that look nothing like my big beloved ones. I love the mary jane ones on my DDs and they come in colors to match every princess dress out there!:rotfl:

Ok, I know this is going to sound bad but I am finally getting around to uploading some pics to show you guys our THANKSGIVING trip!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: We had SUCH a great time - it was our first famliy trip with our daughter to Disney.

Had early reservations so had whole Main Street to herself...love the skipping to the castle! She was SO amazed to see the "REAL" everything!

Sewing at Minnie's

Laughing on the teacups!

Princess Tea Party w/Sleeping Beauty

Thanksgiving at Fort Wilderness Dancing with Goofy - but he covered up my applique - I'm going to have to talk to him about that next time!!!!

Waiting for bus from campground to Epcot

Minnie admiring her Epcot outfit

We were having so much fun that we decided to stay one more day - I should have made an extra Animal outfit - I'll be prepared next time :) How embarassing that she had to wear the same outfit twice:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Sorry for taking up SO much room! But had to share

All of these photos have been terrific! Love the park ones!
You did such a fantastic job!
Makes all the hard work, broken needles, pin pricks, broken thread, seam rippers, sweat, frustration, and machines that we have threatened to throw out the window, WORTH IT ALL!:lovestruc

I LOVE some of these outfits. I have two questions...
1) how do you go about getting such cute things if you don't sew?
THANKS!
ebay is the placeto go or check out some of the signatures for ebay id's

I am so excited!! I just got this fabric in the mail today from "the site that shall not be named!". I paid way too much for it, but I've tried to get it for some months. Kirsta has had 3 variations of the Blue cinderella fabric for her special dress with Cinderella and this is new and different!!

Love the fabric!

I've seen the Hannah Montana satin but I haven't seen the Hannah flannel. DD saw the HM satin and wants an outfit with that. So I guess that is my next project.

Here is DD's Mardi Gras dress and hat.

what date does Mardi Gras Start!! Love the dress

There was someone on the original thread that sold the bows right off of her DD's head. :rotfl: I love this pic of your DD. She looks so happy.

That sounds just like me. Although I have been wearing my crocs all winter also.
