"Drive by" post:surfweb:

I decided to check out the "new" thread and could not resist posting this pic (I made it before I "dropped out" but DD did not get to wear until recently;)

WOW! That is great! I haven't seen one like it and I really like it!

I'm making him a few Mickey tees. Poor little man has to wear store bought clothes for most of our trip! :rotfl2: I'll post pictures of the outfits I've got soon. Still need to finish up a few things.

DS wears alot of store bought too. He is just too old for most things it seems!

I've seen the Hannah Montana satin but I haven't seen the Hannah flannel. DD saw the HM satin and wants an outfit with that. So I guess that is my next project.

Here is DD's Mardi Gras dress and hat.

DD with the crown.

The applique on the top of the dress. This is my first ever actual applique. I did the detail on the face myself. I wouldn't have done it without the motivation of you people. Thanks.

And the bow.

Very cute! I am thinking you made that hat in like no time!

Well, she has a twin :) Were you there at all Dec1-8?

On the twin comment-she may have, we don't know.

I took a quick look at your trip report. I think we saw you at the gate of Epcot on the first. Looks like we were there the same day. I think I remember seeing your girls Minnie dot skirts.:confused3

Ok...7 days to go and how many outfits to make?? Quite a few! I won't be sleeping this week because I'll be sewing in the middle of the night. I've got school (those pesky jobs get in the way), school (grad. classes - what am I thinking), C&C shows, and packing to do!
I wanted to show a couple of things I've been working on. This is Mayme's AK outfit:

and this is the Ariel top I've worked on today. I love the way it looks, but Ariel is very stiff. I used wonder under to attach her to white, appliqued, and then wonder undered that to the blue fabric. Any ideas of what I can do to make it not so stiff? This may just be a play shirt.

I'm so excited, my first outfit to share on the new thread!! After much debating, i finally decided on my first ever twirl skirt for dinner at The Crystal Palcace! I love the way it turned out! I'll be making more of this type of skirt!! It is made from a storybook kit from Joann's.

I really like this! How creative to use a storybook kit. Now I'm going to have to look at those kits a little more closely!

I love these shirts and I have ask too. Is that the Pillowcase or a panel?

It's the pillowcase. I've had it for a while and I wasn't sure what to do with it because it is so large, but I finally decided to bite the bullet and try this one. I've never made a peasant top before, but it was pretty easy.

This is what I had questions on a few pages back! So you attached it to a white fabric and appliqued only on the white? And then attached it to the blue, by just appliqueing around the outside? And was is hard appliqueing all the "pieces" - hair, lips, etc.? I'm scared I'll pick out a wonky thread color that I think matches until I use it. Then I'll realize it doesn't!

I LOVE it, Cindee! It's good to see you post. I miss you already!

Cindee, it's nice to see you haven't completely disapeared! That is an adorable outfit!!!!

Great job!!! Your daughter is so cute!!!

When do you take down your tree?

Am I the ONLY one that didn't even realize that there was a tree in the pic? I was too busy looking at the really cute outfit.

here are the kids Halloween costumes my Mother made... my son is really in character, very funny.

So cool, and very cute fairy! Love them both!

I have that same pattern, but the year I bought it DD decided that she wanted to be a witch so I didn't get a chance to use it. Your DD is so cute in this pic and dress.

This pic is for those who commented.

Good thing that ya'll can't see the front door.:rotfl2: After I took down the tree I undecorated the front door also and the fireplace. :rotfl:

I still have a wintery wreath above my mantle. I think I'm gonna keep it up for a while though. The tree has been down for several weeks, though.

I love them both! I particularly LOVE the ariel peasant blouse. I think it looks great!

Okay, I'm having major computer problems, but hopefully I can get this to go through before it crashes again! Here are some pictures from our trip:

Here is Lily in her Valentine's jumper and bows I made at the last minute for the plane trip. This in at our layover in Atlanta after a long plane ride (hence the hairdo). I woke and dressed her at 4am so this is the first time she realizes she is in a pretty new dress!

IMG_0183_edited-1.jpg

Here is Lily on our first day in the MK. I bought the dress (long story, should be in my TR if I manage to write one). There was only one style of Cinderella dress in the entire park and at first I HATED it! But when I saw it on, I liked it. She loved it and that's what matters. I had to use this photo of her on the slide at Pooh bear's playground because I love it.

IMG_0280.jpg

And not to be left out, here is Jayden in her Belle dress at the BBB (which we loved! Even DH refused to take the boys out to walk around because he wanted to watch!)

IMG_0263_edited-1.jpg

Here is Lil on day two at DS or DHS or whatever they call MGM these days. This was our "cold" day so she wore a jacket all day. It is a Cinderella jacket from Costco with a glass slipper on the back so it managed to match perfectly.
IMG_0371.jpg

And here she is smelling a flower she picked :scared1: outside ToT

Okay, better post this batch before my internet crashes again, more photos on the way!

That is exactly what I did. I did it that way because the fabric was pretty thin and I didn't want the seahorses (from the blue fabric) to show through. Plus, by appliqueing the "inside" and then putting it on the blue by going around only the "outside", I didn't have all those strings (I can't figure out a better way to put that) touching her skin. The only problem is that Ariel is stiff. I guess it doesn't matter, but I don't want her head sticking out and making it look like my 2 y.o. has a chest! :rotfl2:

Yeah - Pics from the World! Love them! Your girls look beautiful! Love the BBB creation.

Thanks for the information. I have the pillowcase, the fabric, and the thread. I now need the nerve to put it all together!

Here we are back at MK and lo and behold, Minnie's house (scheduled to be closed) was open after all!   so I was able to get the required photo and can stay in the club! :rotfl:

Mickey loved the boys' shirts! He kept poking the Mickey heads.

Hello ladies,

I don't know how to do this, but I need help... I want to buy some High school musical fabric... but I can't find any... I'm from a small town in Canada and our Wal Mart is closing down the fabric department... I'm sooo upset, because they do have a little bit of Disney fabric and I was happy with it... but when I ask for some High school ones, they replied that no, we can't get it because we are closing down the department :scared1:

If anyone can help me out here, I would be very happy and how to do this, I don't have a pay pal account, don't even know how to get one :confused3 ... appreciate any help... thank you!!!
What HSM fabric are you looking for? Our local Hancock's has the flannel in I think 2 different colors. I haven't seen anything else. I used a sheet set.

I love how your skirt came out! I have several different series of panels and never knew what to do with them. I might have to go back and see if any are big enough to make the skirt...you don't mind if I totally CASE you, do you?:confused3
