Hey guys!

Will whoever made these appliques:

Please PM me? Especially if you have some extra you would be willing to part with for a price...:rolleyes1

Thanks!

No snow here...STILL.

Every time we get precipitation it is too warm for snow. Yesterday it was in the 20's. Today it is 35 and raining. *sigh*

In case anyone missed the orginal post, I'll make a Valentine Mickey tee for whoever can guess my son's middle name. No right guesses yet, so another clue - It's from a Disney/Pixar movie.

IMG_2980.jpg

I'm going to say Woody or Buzz

Stephanie, that is adorable!! How about adding a ruffle to the bottom?
And, you know, Megan is just the cutsest thing!!!
From Megan: I would like to play in Lydia's rocket clubhouse in the snow please. Then she can come over and play in mine in no snow.
From Lydia: That is a very good idea.
From Arminda: Would her Mommy really let us go over there?
:)

I LOVE THIS! Lydia is just tooo cute!
I have to agree with you, Lydia is gorgeous, but that's Tessa. She's pretty cute too! ;)

My Mom does that all the time!

Ok, wish me luck, I'm going to brave the snow and cold and try to drive to my Mom's house! If I'm not there in an hour send out the troops!

The pictures should work now! Sorry about that!
-------------------------------------
I also found pictures of Arminda in her ballet class! Remember way back on our old board when we were sharing these! Well, now I can too!

Arminda (and all the other girls too) was 5 in these pictures:
As you can see, Arminda is very very short! The teacher actually had to put in another barre so Arminda could reach it!

The studio wasn't quite finished for this first class! But, isn't Arminda a cutie!!!
Unfortunately, there was a great big mirror in the room, so basically, all Arminda ever did was stare at herself!!!!

I think that's all DD5 does in her dance class too!! DD8 has been dancing for 4+ years and is amazing! I think we're going to install a bar in their playroom downstairs so she can practice. My biggest fair is that DD5 is going to do something silly on stage. :scared: Every year we hold our breath and pray she dances.:dance3:

Here's what Sawyer was doing while I was sewing:
DSC05854Small.jpg

He got into my ebay supplies.
If anyone from the USPS is reading this- I rolled these back up will use them for official priority mail packages only! :thumbsup2

My DH is a mail carrier and I'll be sure to show him this picture!!:rotfl: He'll need something to laugh at after the cold, rainy day he had today. Hug your mail carrier when you can!! Or at least say thanks!!

This is what I've been working on...a little while back, I was trying to copy a certain style skirt from :wizard: and this is my version.
Sorry about the photos...the outfit is really bright and the fabric is beautiful, but photographed against my brown/orange wall, really makes it look *bleh*
anyway..

I'm also pleased to announce that Ireland's bangs are starting to grow out...LOL
Now the question...should I Disney-fy it. I was thinking of adding a green Mickey head on the front with a yellow bow? or should I just leave it as is...the last time I asked this question about the sailor outfit, it's really paying off...I have 28 watchers...LOL

Love Ariel!!! Is this a pillowcase or a panel?

CaralaC, thanks so much for the pettitwirl pattern! I've been studying it for awhile and I must say I'm confused. Doesn't take much though! LOL How much tulle is used? And I'm confused on the reversible thing. See...told you it didn't take much. lol

Love this pettiskirt!!! What pattern did you use and how much tulle does it take?

How did I get so far behind?? I thought this thread was slowing down again. I guess not.

Ok so kids had a visit today and I had an hour to kill ... not a good thing. I found these two fabrics. Anybody with any great ideas on what to do with them?

sewing041.jpg

I was goign to use this one for our day we have Cape May breakfast.

sewing042.jpg

I have seen this one floating around ... just had to get some for future use may not even be this trip.

I also bought a bunch of Batman fabric for a quilt for DS 5. I tried to talk him into something Disney but he saw Batman and went crazy so I bought it. Going to try and get it pieced this weekend anyway. :)

I CANNOT believe I did that! I am sooo sorry, can you ever forgive me?:flower3: And yes they are both gorgeous! That is what I get for typing, talking on the phone and trying to pacify a very upset one year old all at the same time!:rotfl: Good Luck getting to your mom's! Drive safely!

I really like this! The colors are great! And Ireland really looks grown up now!!!:sad2: If you ask around here, you are going to herE "DISNEY-FY IT"!:rotfl:

I love all the new outfits! I'm multi-quote illiterate so if you've posted, I think they are great.

I have finished DD's Mardi Gras top, I'll post it later. I've also been getting ready for the two birthday parties she has to go to on the 9th. I hand-painted the gift bag for one of her little friends, he's having a Diego birthday so I painted a Rescue Pack face on an orange bag. I'll take a picture of that too, I love doing those, I did the goodie bags for DD's birthday party last year. She had a Blue's Clues birthday and I went to Michael's and bought red pails, I admit I switched the colors around so that the pails had yellow handles and shovels. I put faces on them that match the Blue's Clue characters Shovel and Pail. They were a huge hit. I hope I've got a picture of those somewhere or I'll have to hope I can find both Shovel and Pail and the handle. They've got to be around here somewhere.

I would love to start a business where I planned children's birthday parties. One of my girlfriends has been on me about it for over a year now. I'm almost sad that if we have a birthday party for Delaney this year, since we're surprising her with a Disney trip, it would have to be small and not a big deal like last year.

I got us tickets to see Finding Nemo on Ice this afternoon. I love that the opening night you can get tickets for $7.50 with them so cheap I couldn't pass them up. It also gives me a reason to finally assemble that Nemo twirly top that I never got done for our last trip.

I've got to head out to grab a few things for Valentine's Day and for sewing. Hopefully I'll get pictures posted a little later.

Unfortunately, there was a great big mirror in the room, so basically, all Arminda ever did was stare at herself!!!!

Cute! Megan has been taking dance since she was 2 1/2 and still basically all she does is stare at herself in the big mirror!

Ah yes, the Scooby Doo factor. ;) Steph probably knows what I'm talking about, but I'll explain. I slaved away for more than a week making Tessa's pink Cinderella mouse-made dress. She really loved it. But, I got a much bigger reaction when I spent 10 minutes cutting an applique of Scooby Doo off of some of her old jeans and sewing it to a new pair. For that, I got a huge hug.

That was exactly it! I was so sad but when she got home she told me her teacher was out today and she had a substitute. Her kindergarten teacher loves the customs, so it's just as well she didn't miss Ariel. Wouldn't want to waste the really good one on the substitute, lol.

Megan is just too cute! And I love that outfit!

Megan makes me read all the comments and she just said, "It's true, I am too cute!" Modest too, as you can see. Thank you for your nice comments!

And Steph, I love all the stuff you've been making. Those shirts are a great idea. I have a skirt that need a new top too. I may just have to see what I can whip up. :rolleyes1

Yay! Whip something up too!

Look at you! You're a sewing maniac! This is adorable! I love the closeup of Megan, she's such a pretty little girl!

Don't think she doesn't know it! She was mad at first that Tessa's mom "copied her" but I explained that we were doing it at the exact same time so there was no copying involved. What would she think if she knew all my stuff is "copied" from one place or another?

Stephanie, that is adorable!! How about adding a ruffle to the bottom?
And, you know, Megan is just the cutsest thing!!!

Ok, wish me luck, I'm going to brave the snow and cold and try to drive to my Mom's house! If I'm not there in an hour send out the troops!

Maybe a white ruffle would tie into the tank and make it decent? I'll have to try it.

Megan is out riding her bike so I can't continue the conversation. I'll let you know what she says. I do know her Mommy would have Lydia and Arminda over anytime!

Do be careful on your way there and back!

Your biggest fear? It wouldn't be a recital unless Megan was doing something silly on the stage, usually involving her headgear. I do not know why the teacher insists on putting things on their heads, they never stay on!

I think it would never hurt to put a mickey head on it. You would attract more people that way I would think. It looks great! Every time Megan's bangs start to grow she demands I cut them. Those things grow so fast! I get excited when I have one watcher. I always have to make sure it isn't my husband!

i think your wall makes the outfit POP !
if you were gonna disney-fy i love the mickey head with bow idea ..
Ireland does look all grown up esp with her bangs. what a gorgeous girl.
That is great on the sailor outfit Now my question is how many of those are from the dis-boards:laughing:

Ireland looks so gorgeous in that picture, I like her bangs! And can you ever really go wrong with a lime green Mickey head? :rotfl:

Someone made something with the first one, shorts I think? It was really cute. I have the second fabric and it's been sitting for 6 months while I was trying to figure out what to do with it, so I'll be watching you!

Good luck with the Batman quilt!

Um, it's going on 24 hours that those clothes have been sitting in the dryer. They might have to sit there until I have to wash again! :rotfl:

I just got my photpass CD!   I think I will go figure out how to do a TR, I'm not promising anything up to the standards of everyone else's trippies, but at least I won't fill up this board here with my photos and stories!

I saw this(http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=222527.0 )post on Craftster & had to try to do it myself.

I think I like it. It still looks a bit odd to me, but I think that's partly because it's flannel (hey, it's what I had on hand) & partly because I've been looking at it so long.

This was a trial runt o make sure I had the pattern right. I'm going to make it again using this:

We had a snow day today so I decided to plop my butt and the sewing machine and make my DD a valentine outfit. Instead of waiting until the night before and only getting to wear it once....here it is nothing spectacular but not bad for a yard of hearts and enough white for the ruffle and straps. I also decided to spiff it up a little bit with a ruffly ribbon heart on the bottom.
