I have family in Phoenix and Scottsdale. We're staying in cave creek, I believe. We'll be there from the 16th to 21st. I have to make ren-fest and Rawhide outfits, according to DH.

I Have been to Cave Creek! I spent a summer with my Aunt years ago and she took me there. I have a cousin who still lives in Mesa.

It's a small small world! LOL

We Have A Winner!!
phins_jazy was the winner of the bows...She was the second guesser and got it!! My middle name is Helen! Teresa..you got it too, but she beat you to it!! Congrats!!

Woohoo!!!! YEAH!!! I never win anything so this is awesome. :D :lovestruc My girls are tickled pink! Ariel is my middle daughters favorite. (Well ariel and nemo are both up there at the top!) I will definately take pics when they get here. Yeah!!! :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

Thank you so much for doing this!!!

I just landed a major score!! I went to walmart. (What is it about walmart? )All I had to get was milk. But of course I have to wander over to the fabric dept. I checked out the remnants and I found a frosty panel, a princess panel, and half a princess pillow panel. They were all reduced so I put them in my cart to find a scanner to see the actual prices. Found a scanner and it said to find an associate. drat! Well luckily there was one the next isle over and she she had a little machine that spit out the price.....are you ready for this....... A PENNY EACH!!!!! I asked her if she was sure that was right and she said whatever it says on the machine I have to charge you so it's a penny. I almost kissed her I was so happy. I figure they will work perfect for appliques and the frosty will be for a twirl skirt next christmas. Here is what I got. Don't mind the wrinkles they were all bunched up in a roll.

Now I'm jealous! I've never even seen 2 of those & the princess that my Wal-Mart has is most certainly NOT on clearance. Great Deal!

i love this tink! I really need to buy this pattern. :)

I didn't use a pattern. I have a template that I use for the bodice & then I just figure out how many strips & needbased on the finished measurement around the bodice & how many fabrics I have. Somone posted instructions on here sometime. check Teresa's links. She probably has it marked. Of course, if it's on the old thread, it's not going to work yet. :sad2:

OK, here are the fabrics, tell me if you think they would go well together for a stripwork jumper? DD3 looks really good in blue and I thought this would work. Maybe with a pair of white capris. Which fabric would you pick for the top or would you do something different?

I love all of these fabrics, just not sure on the third one with the other two. The third one is my favorite though! White capri's and a light blue or white bodice would look good with the first two. I like denim with the third one. You could do the bodice in denim and put a ruffle on a pair of denim cpris. I agree with eeyore3847 - red dots would be cute with it too.

WOW! I'm so jealous! My WalMart doesn't have a fabric department anymore. :sad1: It went out oh, about the same time I started sewing.

ok, I fully know this is tacky but I just updated my TR if you want to read it. Our Tom is mentioned in it...

:cool2:

Please PM me your guesses..and I will give more hints as we get closer...
Good luck..:)
Elisa that was so sweet of you! Thanks for the pixie-dust!!! :goodvibes

This thread move way to fast for me to keep up! Anyway, I have been working on this top...dh was home yesterday, so I could get more sewing than I normally would on a weekday. This is for dd...it is not completely done..I have to sew the button on, and also the snap that goes on the inside.

I am going to make capri..I think just a plain purple capri (the purple matches the purple in the oval that the princesses are in), and then I will put the same white rick rack on it..what do you think?

Jenny
Jenny, that really came out great. I haven't seen that fabric yet and it really is stunning! :lovestruc

I was sooooo touched by Cindee's (livndisney) generosity for sending me the Pokemon fabric and by all the other wonderful ladies around here that give stuff away or help others out by finding fabric, making stuff, etc. that I thought I would pay it forward too.

I have been in love with 2cutekidz Pooh storybook skirt and today I found some Nemo. I just couldn't pass up the price and bought 3 of them. I am going to put 2 of them up to hopefully use for our next trip (maybe in '09) and I will give the other away.

Here is a pic:

I think it will make an adorable skirt (this is what I am planning to use it for), you could use it for appliques or even make the storybook.

For those that are interested send me a PM. I will take pm's until 8 am tomorrow morning and then I will have Parker draw the winning name out of hat. If you are new and don't have pm set up yet, let me know on this thread!
Thanks Amy.....I love the fabric! Can't wait to see who wins!Your DD looks as excited as me! She's adorable!

UGH! Horrible pictures deleted... be back later with better ones

ETA: This will have to do... someone wanted a better pic of this:

Wow that is so neat...the colors are exact! Did you get lots of compliments in Disney???

I never would have guessed it....thanks again for the fun!! ;)

Ok, Here's the Valentine's shirts. I'll have to get pics of them on 'cause they look way better on the girls than on the hanger (at least to me they do).

And this is Tink. If I hadn't been so excited about this outfit, I probably would've shoved it in the back of a closet somewhere & not touched it again for months. I broke 4 needles & had to fix the bobbin 4 or 5 times & ripped the ruffle off at least 4 times before i got it right, BUT now that it's finished I love it.

   That deserves three bananas for sure! I have some of those panels but I paid full price!

Well...my capri turn out a little short..so it looks like it is a pair of purple shorts! Not sure how I like it with the princess top....I didn't use the pants pattern that came with the top..instead, I use the YMCT Easy fit pants. I thought I measure it so it would be a little longer..guess I measured wrong. What do you think? Should I make a longer pair of pants to go with it (since I have more purple fabric), and is the rick rack too high or should I make a skirt instead..a twirl skirt of some sort? Here is a picture of my dd in the top and pants..she was less than thrilled that I interrupted her playing for pictures!

We (me and the 4 girls) love the tink stripwork twirl. Great outfit

Blue or purple I think would work for the top- White capris would be good too!!

That fabric is so pretty. I would go with a blue top.

I am so not good with this kind of thing, but I really like these 3 fabrics!

The last is mf favorite! Wit hsome blue and maybe some red polka dots with it.. where did you get this print?

I love all of these fabrics, just not sure on the third one with the other two. The third one is my favorite though! White capri's and a light blue or white bodice would look good with the first two. Thanks everybody! I got all of the fabrics on :wizard:. I guess I'll have to wait until I get them all here and then mix and match them with each other and other colors.

I will have enough of the Mickey fabrics to do a couple of outfits. I like the idea of red and/or denim with the last one. I did wonder if the last one might be a little dark for the others.
