Thank you for sharing these pictures! I'm always squinting at your siggy picture trying to see you guys better. You have such a cute family!!

could you all please say some prayers or send some vibes my way if you are not a prayer. Silly request but ever since this nasty MRSA  came into our lives 2 1/2 wks ago I have become a germaphobe. I know there is nothing wrong with being clean, but I used to know that germs needed a home too. Well now it seems like all I do is clean, I can't get things clean enough and it is freaking me out. I like clean, don't get me wrong but I used to be able to sit down when DH would get home and just enjoy family time, not anymore. I feel all freaked out inside if a crumb is dropped. If I dont' lysol the laundry it isn't clean. The camodes get lysol sprayed on them after every use and get thoroughly liquid lysoled at the end of the day. I just want to be able to relax but I live in fear of this MRSA. Once you have it, it never goes away, it lays dormant and rears its ugly head whenever it wants to. I just want to be normal again. please.

WOW!!!!!:scared1: Now that's impressive!!

OH! You mean a diaper pin!

Which is my highly effective red neck doo-dad!
:rotfl2:

I like your patterns and fabric! I'd love to see some more fashions for grown ups around here!

I wish I could do that. BUT NO! I have to iron it with magic sizing, fold it into an exactly precise size, and stack it neatly in my stash.

OK, guys! I was last on 3 1/2 hours ago. In that amount of time, this thread has grown by 7 pages! It has taken me almost an hour of mostly skimming stuff to try to catch up. I don't know that I can keep up the pace. I'm gonna drop back for a while. I don't want anyone to think I'm upset, or that I'm gone (I'll pop in as I have time). But for a while, I may have to leave the reading behind, and only check out the photobucket account. Feel free to PM me at any time, even if you don't see me posting.

I guess I'm feeling pretty guilty about the amount of time I'm spending just trying to stay on top of this thread. My DD has a special day at preschool tomorrow. A day that I would usually have made something for her to wear. With obligations at work the last several days, I've not been able to pull something off. And then I think how much time I've spent here, and I know that I could have spent that time making something. So, I've gotta cut back. Hope you all understand.

Sometimes I just have to remind myself that the thread will go on without me and that it's not necessary to read every page, or to catch up with it. Now that's it's moving so fast, I'll probably skip some pages, too.

I can't keep up with this thread

I feel like I am drowning in all these post
See above post- it's okay if you don't read every page!

I go away to WDW and come back to a new thread and a LONG thread at that. I have over 60 pages to catch up on.
Crazy, huh?!

OK, I thought I was loosing it for a few minutes. I haven't been around lately things have been really crappy around here. My DH lost his job, he is a pharma sales rep and they lost a patent on their drug...so I had to go get a job, which is going ok, but I miss being home and sewing and hanging out with you all. THen on top of it all I turned 30 last week!!! What a great way to start a new decade!!!:confused3 Anyway I finally get on the computer to see what you have all been up to and you have moved! What is up with that? I was so confused. I am assuming that we our thread got too big? Well I am back and hopefully won't be gone that long again. I did get a new serger from my mom and dad for the big 3-0 b-day!!! So far I am really liking it.
A big hello and I am glad to be back!

I'm sorry to hear that your DH lost his job and things aren't going so well. I'm glad that you found our new thread, though!

OK, here are the fabrics, tell me if you think they would go well together for a stripwork jumper? DD3 looks really good in blue and I thought this would work. Maybe with a pair of white capris. Which fabric would you pick for the top or would you do something different?

Should have about 50+ yards on it. It WILL take me forever to ship after it arrives, but if anyone wants some, PM me, I'm sure I'm going to have more than I can use.

Y'all: Keep an eye out when you're fabric shopping for Pokemon fabric! I just need location.

I found one twin sheet set for one of my sons (I have 2 ds's who love pokemon) so I gave the set to the son who was with me at the time. Well, my other son is CRUSHED and wants pokemon sheets too. (He's my sensitive son).

I've been scouring Salt Lake, to no evail. I KNOW I've seen some somewhere!
I need enough to make 2 comfortors and some long curtains. I've found some fleece but they don't like it because Pikachou has blue cheeks on the print and in REAL LIFE he has red cheeks. :thumbsup2 KWIM?

I LOVE the pooh valentines dress and the Tink dress 100AcrePrincess made!
sorry! I forgot to quote!

I looked to see if I had more Pokemon but could not find any. I did find some knit Star Wars fabric would that help at all?

I was sooooo touched by Cindee's (livndisney) generosity for sending me the Pokemon fabric and by all the other wonderful ladies around here that give stuff away or help others out by finding fabric, making stuff, etc. that I thought I would pay it forward too.

I have been in love with 2cutekidz Pooh storybook skirt and today I found some Nemo. I just couldn't pass up the price and bought 3 of them. I am going to put 2 of them up to hopefully use for our next trip (maybe in '09) and I will give the other away.

Here is a pic:

th_nemobookfabric.jpg

I think it will make an adorable skirt (this is what I am planning to use it for), you could use it for appliques or even make the storybook.

For those that are interested send me a PM. I will take pm's until 8 am tomorrow morning and then I will have Parker draw the winning name out of hat. If you are new and don't have pm set up yet, let me know on this thread!
That is so nice of you- Thank You!!
Ok, Here's the Valentine's shirts. I'll have to get pics of them on 'cause they look way better on the girls than on the hanger (at least to me they do).

And this is Tink. If I hadn't been so excited about this outfit, I probably would've shoved it in the back of a closet somewhere & not touched it again for months. I broke 4 needles & had to fix the bobbin 4 or 5 times & ripped the ruffle off at least 4 times before i got it right, BUT now that it's finished I love it.

Blue or purple I think would work for the top- White capris would be good too!!

That fabric is so pretty. I would go with a blue top.

Congrats phins_jazzy- Great Guess!!

They are both cute-
I like seeing boys stuff.

CONGRATS phins_jazy!!! Can't wait to see the bows in your little one's hair!!!

I love love love the tinkerbell!

th_IMG_3745p.jpg

I am going to make capri..I think just a plain purple capri (the purple matches the purple in the oval that the princesses are in), and then I will put the same white rick rack on it..what do you think?
That's so cute, Jenny! I think the capris with ricky-racky would look adorable!

Hey Girls-

I have been stalking all of you since the original thread! You are all amazing. I have taken it as far as borrowing a sewing machine, but then it dawned on me........I don't sew. I wish I could come close to making all the beautiful things you guys do!
Keep sewing girls, I live through you!

Susie

You don't have to know how to sew to sew! Just get out your sewing machine, read the manual if it has one (or look online for one), then start with something easy like a little skirt with an elastic waist. There are lots of tutorials in Teresajoy's bookmarks (link in my siggy and the first post in this thread).

Please help a newbie! Let me start by saying I am amazed at the beautiful work you ladies have done - you have inspired me to drag out my never used sewing machine my parents bought me 10 years agao for my b-day!

My problem is where do I start? I think I know how to thread the machine, but I have never used a sewing machine. I can't really go out and take a class, but are there any good books or online tutorials you all can recommend?
Please remember I am a complete novice at this!
Look through the online tutorials in teresajoy's bookmarks. That's how I started. I'm glad you got out your sewing machine! I hadn't used mine in 15 years before I found this thread (actually my sister showed it to me, I didn't techinically find it).

Saturday night we were eating at a friend's house and one of my friends and neighbors brought up taking the kids to a movie. I commented that the last movie we had seen with the kids was Enchanted. My friend Kristen says, oh, I used to date James Marsden (I think that's his name anway) when I was in college (at Oklahoma State University). I asked which character was he? The prince! How do you date somebody like that and forget to tell your friends? I would have been pretty excited that someone I dated was famous now and probably have told everyone I knew!
Oh..my..GOSH!! That is so cool! How could she not have told you that before? :confused3

We Have A Winner!!
phins_jazy was the winner of the bows...She was the second guesser and got it!! My middle name is Helen! Teresa..you got it too, but she beat you to it!! Congrats!!
That was my guess, too! I was going to PM you when I was done multi-quoting. I guess Teresa and I do think alike!

That first outfit is really original- and very cute!! I also love the Tink jumper, too! Adorable!!

DH wants me to finish with the fabric I have before I go out and get more, but it becomes an adiction :dance3: you have to keep getting fabric and collecting ideas. Crazy!:yay:
You need to teach your DH about the concept of a "fabric stash". You can't use it all up, it just wouldn't be right! :rotfl:
The shirt you made turned out really cute, BTW!

That first outfit is fantastic!!! I absolutely love it!! I would love to se that modeled if your model will cooperate!! I like the Buzz outfit, too. That embroidery looks a little wonky, but it should be fine after you cut the strings.

Oh, I'll also get in on the give-away. This roll:

Would you just look at all of this generosity! This is great! Pixie dusting is fun!

I'm so happy. I thought I lost you guys. So good to be back. Now I have tons of pages to catch up on.

I emailed my sister pics of this, and she wants one....for HERSELF...she's 27. I told her top only, and OK.

I think I may try a mommy-and-me on this...I have about 200 yards (maybe more) of each of the two fabrics. (one is the longer with embroidery, the other short) What do you guys think? I might do a top and skirt....
