I just put a fresh bobbin in and now that is working but it does not want to sew the elastic. I guess I could hand sew that for now and at least get the top done. Maybe my machine just cannot handle elastic.:headache:

SOO cute!! I love this style and the fabrics you used. Have you checked out my applique tutorial? It's in Teresa's bookmarks under "Applique".

Yes! But, I just haven't taken the time to sit down and learn how to do it. I will one of these days. Right now, I'm trying to get my outfits done for our Oct. trip.

I think a few pages back someone asked when we were going. I can't find the post to quote it, but we will be there the week of Halloween.

I finally got pictures taken. I swear if I ever have the idea to do another Cinderella skirt I will have to jump off a large building. I think I spent a good amount of time just cursing my idea but I finally managed to get my idea into fabric, although I really needed more fabric but I'm out of time.

Here's what I've got so far, I'm also going to reuse a couple of customs like the Animal Kingdom swing top and the EPCOT Friends Around the World swing top from a couple of trips ago, oh, and the Minnie Mouse swing top and matching bloomers. I decided to give up on too much more sewing. I will be appliqueing a few things tomorrow afternoon but other than that I think I'm more than done.

Delaney is going to wear it to her birthday party tomorrow. I'm hoping it stays relatively clean so she can wear it to Crystal Palace on Tuesday which is her actual birthday.

I'm half way to packed, the house still looks like a bomb went off in it but hopefully it will all come together tomorrow afternoon. Delaney's party is only 90 minutes long so we should have plenty of time to get things done.

Now if I could only remember where I put that envelope of Disney Dollars I'd 2be in business, only 30 1/2 hours to go until we leave for the airport.

I love them! I really like June's dress (dd4 would LOVE that!) & the Mickey halter outfit.

Here are the teacher purses. Owls for the kindergarten teacher and the beaded handle is for Jacob's teacher. I am very worried about the handles on the owl one; I don't think they look right. I hope they like them!

I love those. The owl fabric is adorable.

I love all of those outfits. Too cute. Happy Birthday Delaney!

Tessa wanted to model her new pajamas so I could post her picture for Luke to see. :rotfl2: I used the portrait peasant top and added tiers. Then, I used the easy fit pants for the shorts.

Great Jammies! They are adorable.

I got some great news about my Big Give outift! I posted before that Isabelle and Alica wanted a Cinderella dress from a discontinued pattern. I searched high and low for the pattern, with no luck. Then, I did a search here on the Dis. And, found a year old post from Laurie31 with her daughter in the dress. Her mother in law had made it. Sooo, I PMed Laurie and asked if her MIL still had the pattern and begged her to sell it to me!

I heard back from Laurie, and her MIL has the pattern!!! She is sending it to me to use (and not charging me for it!) I am so excited that I can make the dress that Isabelle and Alicia really want!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: And, what wonderful people we have on this board!!!

YOU are wonderful people!!! I"m so excited to see the dress when it's finished!!!

Those PJ's are so cute!

That Tessa is SO cute!

seriously...there is big money in children's modeling.

and pageants.

Can IMAGINE all the ruffley foofiness you could make for pageants?! You could SELL pageant dresses and be fabulously wealthy!

It's true.::yes::

:goodvibes

YAY!! I can't wait to see the dress you make. I know it'll be gorgeous. We do have some wonderful people on this thread! I can't believe she responded to you about a year old post!!
I hope I do it justice!!!

Laurie wasn't even on this thread, just a random Diser that posted a picture of the dress! How nice is that!?!
Teresa, I did piece together both the MM Clubhouse and Cinderella skirts. The fabric book one was relatively easy. The Cinderella one I messed up on how much of the lighter fabric I would need I had to make adjustments to the dark underskirt a few times and putting it together was a pain with the split overskirt. I had to gather the underskirt into the waistband and pin then sandwich the over skirt into it and it took awhile to adjust it to be even all the way around.

I have NO idea what I was thinking throwing a birthday party the day before we leave on vacation. Delaney still hasn't figured out that we're leaving for Disney. She'll figure it out when we get to the airport. At least Chuck E. Cheese is taking care of most of the stuff, I did forget to take a picture of the goody bags I made from the Little Einsteins fabric, I'll try to remember to do that at the party. I can't wait to see her cake, I found a lady who's going to do Rocket for us.

I have on more load of laundry to do and I have to finish packing but most of that's done, just RJ's stuff which is easy. Most of the rest of everyone's stuff is done, I've adjusted my sewing list and all I have left is a Giselle applique on a tank top to wear with the Disney Store princess petti. I had wanted to make a halter but I just can't see having the extra time to do it.

The skirt looks great, even if it was a headache to do!

Laundry just never seems to get done, does it! I need to throw some in, but I need to make some laundry detergent first.

I worked on my "Big Give" dress last night with Morgan's help:rolleyes1

I had in mind what I wanted to do, she wanted me to make a dress like the one I had made her. (Guess who won?:lmao: ) Basically I copied myself, but made it a little different LOL. I added a self slip to the sundress skirt and made scalloped trim for the slip. Morgan likes it LOL.

I will post a pic when I am done.
I can't wait to seee what Morgan came up with! :thumbsup2
;)
2) What? I started getting them when I was pregnant with Megan because I couldn't reach my feet. You really should try it!
4) I cannot believe you didn't keep the picture of the ferret baby bonnet! That was the funniest thing I have ever seen!

5) She had another come out yesterday at breakfast. She told she was having a hard time eating her cereal and when I looked into her mouth there was a little bottom tooth lying sideways on her gum. Our toothfairy is a bit unreliable and forgot last night so she is quite mad and I think has figured out that I swapped it out after she got up. I don't understand, it used to work with Jacob all the time! :confused3

6) Megan got the I can read FN book for her birthday where she goes to the museum. She loves it!

10.)That is so nice of her! It never fails to amaze me how warm and giving people are on this board.
2.)I've never had a pedicure either. I wouldn't want anyone looking that closely at my ugly feet!! But, before I had each of my kids, I made sure I painted my toes a nice bright red! The doctor and nurses were amazed that I could reach my toes. :rotfl2:
4.)I know, what was she thinking!
5.)How many is that now? Lydia doesn't have any lose at all. Corey's first one fell out the day after he turned 5. You should have seen his face though the first time Heather told him that his baby teeth would probably start falling out! He was like :scared1: She had to quickly explain to him that there would be more teeth that came in afterwards! Poor kid thought he was going to be toothless forever!
6.)Lydia really wants those books too!
10.)I know! :goodvibes

Woops, I accidentaly deleted the pictures of the purses. I think they look great though! I especially love the owl one!!

The jammies look great!!! and Tessa is stunning as always! :lovestruc

Those are too cute and look at that stuffed animal collection. She has Jenna beat hands down in the stuffed animal department.
She gets that from her Mommy! Heather always loved stuffed animals! I was more of a doll girl myself.
1.)YOU are wonderful people!!! I"m so excited to see the dress when it's finished!!!

2.) Now, MissCammie, I think we need to see an example of exactly what you are talking about! You need to post a picture of yourself in pageantry finery! :thumbsup2

That would depend on the outfit, I guess! Quite a few have made shirts and decoupage jeans to wear to Disney. I would shy away from too many ruffles though! Heather made our Mom a really cute Mickey mouse button down shirt I thought she looked great. She also made all 5 girls matching peasant tops to go with it.

ETA: If you go to our Photobucket Group (look in first thread for the link) you will see a category for Adult clothes.

There are some that make things for us to wear. Usually it's a little more subdued - decoupaged pants, or tees kind of thing. But I say whatever you like, you should wear!

TERESA!You make your own LAUNDRY DETERGENT? WHAT?

Yeah, I'm cheap! It's really easy though! And, it doesn't make Brian or Lydia break out into a rash, which is a big plus! :thumbsup2

I have the links in bookmarks for the recipe I use, but here it is: http://www.thefamilyhomestead.com/laundrysoap.htm I don't put in as much water at the end as she says to though.

Love all of your outfits! I'm doing a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse one for my DD2's b-day party next week if I get it finished! I love yours and hope mine turns out as well. Now I'm scared I won't like it as well as yours!

Go and get a pedicure! They see big ugly man feet, how bad can yours be?

Come on Miss Cammie, show us pictures!

Tiered tops and peasant tops are on all the runways for this season! You might not want to go all Minnie Dot on yourself, but an adult could TOTALLY rock a cute print top or even a skirt!

then again...if you are in to Minnie Dots, have at it!!!:thumbsup2

About the laundry soap:
I just timed myself, and it took me 8 minutes to make up a double batch, and part of that time was spent cleaning the bucket I use to cool it in.

In addition to it being cheap, I also like the fact that there is cuts down on plastic waste. (Corey has been really big on us "reducint our carbon footprint" lately!)

Teresa how well does the soap work for you? I think that is something that I might want to try. I'm just worried that it isn't going to clean all of those Jenna messes.

It works really well for us! My kids, and husband get their clothes very messy too! If something is very dirty, I pretreat it with a litlt Dollar Tree Brand Oxi-clean.

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know where I could get crocs for the 18" My generation girl doll?

I looked on :wizard: and only saw 2 pairs and they were already $10 each!! Any other places where I could look for things to go with her?

Thanks, Wendy

Yeah we have been trying to reduce our carbon footprint also. It pains me to go to the grocery store and buy a new plastic bottle of laundry soap when I have an empty plastic bottle at home that I have to throw away. I wish I could just refill the ones that I have and I guess this is a good less expensive way to do it. Thanks for the info by the way. I love that website. We are going to try the bean recipe that she has on the site.

You could try the American Girl website. I plan on getting Jenna's doll a pair of glasses through them.
