That is too cute! I love it!
My little one is a Jenna too.:goodvibes
Awwww!! I'll bet she is cute as can be and just as stubborn. I know mine is. She has a heart of gold and a stone will.
It's my turn for crazy storm weather! :scared1: The sirens went off a half hour ago and we were under a Tornado Warning! Had to wake up DD, try to get her to go down to the basement so I could grab my laptop and purse. DS just rolled his eyes at me (teenagers!). About the time I hit the basement I heard hail. The news reported that a police officer spotted a funnel cloud 20 miles from me. The warning expired and we are now having a lot of rain and lightening.

It is a good thing tomorrow is Saturday so I can sleep in some!
Oh please stay safe.

Everything looks so cute. Have fun on your trip.

I wanted to share these yesterday but could not get the pictures to work. Thought I would try again today. Not as good as the rest of you but the best I can do right now. I have made 3 of these each with shorts and capris.

And I made my daughter and I matching shirt for our trip a week away.

Cute! I love the hidden Mickey buttons!

That is really cute

Well, I finally got a few photos on the Photobucket account. This is a skirt I made a few weeks ago. The top I bought at WalMart. They are a little big on my dd, but should be fine for our Oct. trip.

th_DSC_0687.jpg

Great job! Your daughter is adorable!

Okay now, I know the nap mat discussion was weeks ago, but we were just on our weekly visit to Great Harvest and the quilt shop next door had a few items on a little sidewalk sale and one of them was this darling quilted, appliqued nap mat for only $16.99 It even has a built in pillow. If I ever do make a nap mat I will copy this one. I love it. Sorry the pics are not great I'm using my "backup camera"

She's been laying on it for the past 20 minutes, I think she's almost asleep!
Cute, and a good deal! Look how cute Lily looks!

I really like the Peasant top pattern! Can you tell:

CarlaC's eayfit pants and peasant! Sorry for the awful pic...
Wow! That really looks great!!!
I plan on making the same FN outfit too. .
Yah, thanks Lori!!! Lydia is begging me to make HER one now too!

Just a quick hi from Disney World- I know I left and was on page 172, so I have a lot of catching up to do.
Hugs to all of you!
Thanks for checking in!!!! So cool to know you are actually at Disney while you are posting!!! Sounds like you've had an eventful trip already!
You know I wonder about this too. My Joann's has a TON of Licensed fabric. Disney, Muppets, Care Bears all kinds of stuff. But it is ALL FLANNEL-ummm in FLORIDA!!!!!!! What are we supposed to do with flannel?:lmao:
I think you are suppose to make Morgan some nightgowns for when you come visit family (and friends) in Michigan! :thumbsup2

No customs to share but look what came in the mail!! It's not really that long on her. I cut my poor girls legs off in the picture!

So cute Leslie!! A few people ordered one of the pettis with ribbons on our last order, and I can't wait to see how they look! Yours look adorable!
I just love that you're the 2nd person to post that you grabbed your laptop before you hit the basement! :rotfl2: I'm glad you guys are all right. We had some storms tonight, but nothing serious.
You know it's not too bad if Mom's not in the basement!
I have dog kennels that stay in the storm celler. All 4 the dogs go down plus people. I keep my picture cd's down there all of the time. I always grab baby books too. I used to have a problem with moisture down there and my storage. I found that if I stored in an ice chest then there wasn't any temperature difference causing condensation.

When the big record breaking F5 tornado came through our town in '99 there were 14 people, 8 dogs and a cat in my mom's storm celler. It was a bit noisy but oh well.

Glad everyone is staying safe with all of this crazy weather. Our weather was crazy the other night. I called my parents at 1am and my Dad came and got me and my kids. My husband works nights I didn't think I could get down in the celler, if need be, with DD4, DD2 and brand new DS by myself. I loaded my dogs into their kennels in the celler at my house and headed to my parents and spent the rest of the night there. Luckily the storms died down and we didn't have to go to the celler. We have GREAT weather people here and usually have good warnings. They usually can tell us what street it is going down and what time it will get to our part of town. Thank goodness.
I'm glad you are safe too!! This weather is nuts lately!
I finally got pictures taken. I swear if I ever have the idea to do another Cinderella skirt I will have to jump off a large building. I think I spent a good amount of time just cursing my idea but I finally managed to get my idea into fabric, although I really needed more fabric but I'm out of time.

Here's what I've got so far, I'm also going to reuse a couple of customs like the Animal Kingdom swing top and the EPCOT Friends Around the World swing top from a couple of trips ago, oh, and the Minnie Mouse swing top and matching bloomers. I decided to give up on too much more sewing. I will be appliqueing a few things tomorrow afternoon but other than that I think I'm more than done.

Delaney is going to wear it to her birthday party tomorrow. I'm hoping it stays relatively clean so she can wear it to Crystal Palace on Tuesday which is her actual birthday.

I'm half way to packed, the house still looks like a bomb went off in it but hopefully it will all come together tomorrow afternoon. Delaney's party is only 90 minutes long so we should have plenty of time to get things done.

Now if I could only remember where I put that envelope of Disney Dollars I'd 2be in business, only 30 1/2 hours to go until we leave for the airport.

Adorable outfits!! Did you piece the Cinderella and Mickey ones? They all look terrific!!! I can't believe you leave in 30 hours, and you still have to have a birthday party! Brave girl!!!

I got some great news about my Big Give outift! I posted before that Isabelle and Alica wanted a Cinderella dress from a discontinued pattern. I searched high and low for the pattern, with no luck. Then, I did a search here on the Dis. And, found a year old post from Laurie31 with her daughter in the dress. Her mother in law had made it. Sooo, I PMed Laurie and asked if her MIL still had the pattern and begged her to sell it to me!

I heard back from Laurie, and her MIL has the pattern!!! She is sending it to me to use (and not charging me for it!) I am so excited that I can make the dress that Isabelle and Alicia really want!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: And, what wonderful people we have on this board!!!

WOW! Delaney is going to look so cute (I just love her name, BTW)! Have fun on your trip and don't forget your Disney tickets (if you already bought them, that is)! :thumbsup2

YAY!! I can't wait to see the dress you make. I know it'll be gorgeous. We do have some wonderful people on this thread! I can't believe she responded to you about a year old post!!

Teresa, I did piece together both the MM Clubhouse and Cinderella skirts. The fabric book one was relatively easy. The Cinderella one I messed up on how much of the lighter fabric I would need I had to make adjustments to the dark underskirt a few times and putting it together was a pain with the split overskirt. I had to gather the underskirt into the waistband and pin then sandwich the over skirt into it and it took awhile to adjust it to be even all the way around.

I have NO idea what I was thinking throwing a birthday party the day before we leave on vacation. Delaney still hasn't figured out that we're leaving for Disney. She'll figure it out when we get to the airport. At least Chuck E. Cheese is taking care of most of the stuff, I did forget to take a picture of the goody bags I made from the Little Einsteins fabric, I'll try to remember to do that at the party. I can't wait to see her cake, I found a lady who's going to do Rocket for us.

I have on more load of laundry to do and I have to finish packing but most of that's done, just RJ's stuff which is easy. Most of the rest of everyone's stuff is done, I've adjusted my sewing list and all I have left is a Giselle applique on a tank top to wear with the Disney Store princess petti. I had wanted to make a halter but I just can't see having the extra time to do it.

Steph *IF* I were to case a certain pillowcase peasant top of yours :rolleyes1 , I have a question. Did you use the fabric from the pillowcase for the back or the coordinating fabric? I need to look at our pillowcase but I am thinking there is not enough fabric to use for the back and thought about using the fabric for sleeves for the back as well.

I am not Steph-but when I used a tink pillowcase I used a coordinating fabric for the back and a third fabric for the the sleeves. HTH

I worked on my "Big Give" dress last night with Morgan's help:rolleyes1

I had in mind what I wanted to do, she wanted me to make a dress like the one I had made her. (Guess who won?:lmao: ) Basically I copied myself, but made it a little different LOL. I added a self slip to the sundress skirt and made scalloped trim for the slip. Morgan likes it LOL.

I will post a pic when I am done.

WOW, these are all great! I love the idea of the Cinderella skirt. I hope you aren't offended that you inspired me! I hope you have a great trip!

I got some great news about my Big Give outift! I posted before that Isabelle and Alica wanted a Cinderella dress from a discontinued pattern. I searched high and low for the pattern, with no luck. You know I wonder about this too. My Joann's has a TON of Licensed fabric. Disney, Muppets, Care Bears all kinds of stuff. But it is ALL FLANNEL-ummm in FLORIDA!!!!!!! What are we supposed to do with flannel?:lmao:

That is so true! We have a whole row of characters stuff and easily 2/3 of it is flannel! What the heck?

I also made Tessa some Hannah Montana pajamas. She really wanted that flannel HM fabric, so I spent $7 on it and several hours making it. I could have just went to the clothing department at Walmart and bought some HM pajamas for $10.:rotfl2: See what you people have done to me!

A-HA! So, that's my problem! I've never had a pedicure!:lmao:

Tessa loves the David books, too. My mom has a few of them and she just thinks they're hilarious!

Unfortunately, I don't have the picture of the hideous ferret baby bonnet. To think someone once thought that was pretty enough to buy!

YIKES! She still looks beautiful, but what a shock that must have been! Tessa's 2 front teeth are VERY loose, but it's her bottom teeth. She's never lost a tooth and she's very excited about it.

THAT is adorable!!! You got the outfit perfect! I'd never read a Fancy Nancy book, so Teresa brought one over today. It was really cute! I just bought a couple of the "I Can Read" Fancy Nancy books for Tessa on amazon.com for $3.99.

1) That totally sounds like something I would do. It will be worth more than $10 because Mommy made it though, so think like that!

2) What? I started getting them when I was pregnant with Megan because I couldn't reach my feet. You really should try it!

3) We loved the David books too! For some reason, Megan really related to them. :rolleyes1

4) I cannot believe you didn't keep the picture of the ferret baby bonnet! That was the funniest thing I have ever seen!

5) She had another come out yesterday at breakfast. She told she was having a hard time eating her cereal and when I looked into her mouth there was a little bottom tooth lying sideways on her gum. Our toothfairy is a bit unreliable and forgot last night so she is quite mad and I think has figured out that I swapped it out after she got up. I don't understand, it used to work with Jacob all the time! :confused3

6) Megan got the I can read FN book for her birthday where she goes to the museum. She loves it!

I love them all, especially Cinderella and the birthday skirt! Delaney is going to have so much fun! What shoes is she going to wear with the June dress?

That is so nice of her! It never fails to amaze me how warm and giving people are on this board.

I need to look at our pillowcase but I am thinking there is not enough fabric to use for the back and thought about using the fabric for sleeves for the back as well.

What I did is cut the front out of one side and the back out of the other and use a coordinating fabric for the sleeves and the ruffle:

IMG_0098.jpg

IMG_0096.jpg

I wish I could remember how much coordinating fabric to tell you to get, maybe a half a yard. Ruffles always take more fabric that I think they should. I think making the back out of the same fabric as the sleeves would look just as nice. I laid the pillowcase out horizontally and made it as top as long as the pillowcase is wide. HTH!

These outfits are AMAZING!!!! You are so talented!! I really love the MM Clubhouse especially. Did you use all the panels of the book? How did you know what size to make the inbetween pieces? Did you piece together that Mickey top to go with it too???? Its just so cheerful and FUN!!! I'd love make something like that for my DN - would anyone have an idea how to make something for a boy with the storybook pages? My Tim is always wanting me to make things for him too!!! lol!!! What a cutie guy - I figure I better make things for them while they will wear them, right???:rotfl:

ACK! I was trying to sew the elastic together to finish the top and now the bobbin will not catch! I have cleaned out the bobbin case, made sure there is no loose threads and it keeps locking on me with an E6 error. I read a few reports of this when I bought the machine and I was hoping those were flukes but it looks like mine is one of them! Any thoughts on what I can do to get it to work? It is a Brother ce-4000.

Here are the teacher purses. Owls for the kindergarten teacher and the beaded handle is for Jacob's teacher. I am very worried about the handles on the owl one; I don't think they look right. I hope they like them!

Poor Megan! She's going to be drinking her meals through a straw if she keeps losing teeth!

I have absolutely no advice for you. But, I can sympathize with your frustration.

Are you kidding about the handle? I LOVE it!! These are both so pretty! I'll take one, in a fabric of your choosing, with a zipper on top and a cell phone pocket on the side that doesn't have a knot. Thanks!!:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Ohhh... I have this fabric and was going to make a patchwork twirl skirt or strip jumper for one of my dds. The purse is adorable. Maybe I'll have to save that fabric for me! I made a strip jumper out of the blue of this same pattern. I'll try to post photos later.

Tessa wanted to model her new pajamas so I could post her picture for Luke to see. :rotfl2: I used the portrait peasant top and added tiers. Then, I used the easy fit pants for the shorts.

Those are too cute and look at that stuffed animal collection. She has Jenna beat hands down in the stuffed animal department.
