Man, trying to get caught up! My internet keeps going down. It was down all day yesterday and half the day before and most of the day Friday. It is driving me crazy. However, with no internet, I've been getting a lot of sewing, yardwork and laundry done!
I SOOOOO want to tell you all about something that happened at Epcot the other day, but I am trying to save it for my trip report! But, I will tell you that Lydia DID get to meet Marie while she was wearing her Marie custom!!! It was MAGICAL!!! Lydia was SOOOOO excited!!!
Here are some pictures:
Marie admiring Lydia's dress:
Posing like Marie:
Marie was really cute and sweet! I am SOOO happy we got to see her!
I got tears in my eyes seeing those Marie pictures!
ETA: Lily just saw these photos and is now begging for a "kitty dress" pleeeese mommy pleeeese!
this is my first attempt at sewing since high school (20+ years) - I made it a size larger because we aren't going to DW until next summer.
I also made some slipcovers for our popup camper:
Love the Tink outfit. So how did you do your seat covers? We got a pop up trailer 3 years ago and I keep saying I need to get some covers on those benches before the kids ruin them! I even took a cushion out and it spent the winter in my craft room just waiting to be covered. I just have no idea where to start--nevermind the 800 episodes of Trading Spaces I've watched!

Are yours removable? Thanks for the idea of using Disney fabric! Now to find some that won't clash with sage green curtains...I'd love any advice you have, I've been very askeered of this project!
I have a few dollars left in my account and want to buy a ycmt pattern. Which one? These are the ones I am debating:
Carlac stripwork jummper
"" easy fit pants
" ruffled capris and pants
erin's designs ruffled halter tops
star bright desings adorbale cris cross top
which one???? I love them all!
I LOVE the stripwork jumper and easy fit pants! I've made both a LOT so I'll spare you the repeat photos!
Haven't had much time to post lately but I had to vent to someone who would understand. My mother in law called dh at work yesterday. Guess where she called from????? SOARIN!!!!!! They decided to take a spur of the moment trip and thought Disney would be fun. What on earth were they thinking not taking us with them?!?!?!??!?! I'm so totally green with envy I can hardly stand it.
meanies!
Hello ladies!
Whoever posted the crayon holder THANKS!
As I was picking up Leighanna from school the other day the teacher said that she only had four crayons left, and wanted to know if she could bring a few more in to finish the school year.
Well... the creative mind that I have, remembered the crayon roll, so I "whipped" one up!
Leighanna took it to school the next day, and EVERYONE wants one now!
YIKES!
So far I have made three more for her *BESTEST* friends, but I know I will be making more for some others!
I guess these will be little end-of-the-year gifts that she can give her friends.
Sorry I haven't posted much, but I do try to keep up. I love all the new customs that have been posted.
The only things that I have been up to are things for my wife and Mom for Mother's day.
A couple of new bags and matching wallets.
I have also completed the first three mystery quilt blocks from YCMT. I have a feeling that quilting might become my next obsession! Anxiously waiting on the next block!
But where are the pics Tom? I'd love to see your crayon holders w/names no less! I need to get started on those quilt blocks!
I am almost done remodeling my daughters room. I tried so hard to get her to do horses. She won though. It's an Ariel bedroom. One wall is purple, the rest a very pale yelow named "Good Morning Sunshine" I am very proud of the valence I made. It is from Ariel
Walmart fabric. I then sewed some dangle trim. It is so cool because the trim is various shades of turquoise (sp?) but next to the purple sheer curtains, takes on some purple tones. It sparkles in the sun. Here is her bed with the "anti-monster" curtain. Did you know that this keeps out the monsters, so three year old little girls sleep "all by myself" now???
Very cute room! I love the "anti-monster" curtain. Too bad Lily's not afraid of monsters...so why does she end up in my bed?
Thought I would come out of lurk mode and share the packages we received in the mail a few days ago. The first set of pics is for our October WDW trip.
The second set is my 8 year old modeling her Biscotti corset dress that she will wear to her sister's rehearsal dinner in September.
I just love the barettes they are so cute !
She's starting to look so grown up
cute outfits! Don't you hate it when they look grown up?
WHERE IS WENDY -- UTAHMAMA!!??
Seems like she hasn't been around in while, anybody know where she is?????
Saw her at Bonko/Bunko the other day. The girl is thinking about moving away from me!! So maybe she is busy getting her house in order (although knowing her love of order, it probably is already).
Oh my goodness!!! I showed Lydia that mural, and she was jumping up and down excited!!! That is so cool!!!
I didn't post a picture of my Snow White. I just threw it together after we got here. Like I said, it was not real flattering, but for you guys, I'll post a picture!
The pants were long, but I cut them off for capris and I tacked red ribbon on the sleeves of the shirt.
LOVE casual Snow White!
someone posted with cow print, farm animals and something else. Was something actually made with that? The fabric was really cute! I'd love to see the finished project.
also what does CASE stand for?
That was me. I love the fabric so much, I'm afraid to mess up. I just can't decide what to make, but my latest thought is some sort of apron dress.
I finally have another outfit to post. I don't know if some of you remember but a month or so ago I asked the question about pricing an outfit. A lady that is part of another message board with me was really wanting me to make an outfit for her little girl too (she's 3 too). I finally said "yes" and here is the finished product.
I am really pleased at how it turned out and I hope they will be too! I will have another skirt to share tomorrow. Parker's preschool class is having a teddy bear picnic and I made her a skirt to match a Gymboree top. I even made the bear a matching skirt!
I LOVE it! The colors are TDF! And I can't wait to see Parker's!!!
I'm getting sooooooooo frustrated with my 8 1/2 yo dd. will someone please tell me this too shall pass? She tells me she hates me doing her hair, all she wants is to do it herself and put it in a pony tail. That's it. So I went and bought pretty doodads for the 6 yo dd's hair because SHE still loves everything I do

and then the 8 yo got pissy because I spent 5 min doing her sisters hair and not hers. She sat on the sofa and pouted for a good 5 min. This goes with clothes too. I feel like all i ever do is butt heads with her and I do what she wants and then she hates it too. Waaaaahhhh!
This really does tie in to disboutique and i'm getting to that LOL I know darn good and well that if I make customs for the 1 yo and the 6 yo to take to wdw she'll be mad at me, but if i make her some she'll say they are too babyish and she won't wear them because someone will make fun of her. I hate this age! She's only flipping 8, why can't she understand that she's not a teenager and that she's still a kid. I can't ask her for her help either because it's a surprise trip! We aren't going till jan but I like to plan. What are 9 yo's wearing to disney?
I think I need to find a Saint for helping raise girls or something and say a few Hail Mary's, because coffee just isn't cutting it this a.m.
My DD is 10. She's not too picky about clothes yet, but her hair...don't get me started! She did it herself today (which always involves some sort of pony tail/scrunchie of some sort)

I just had to bite my tongue. She throws a fit whenever I do it.
Also, check out Jham's trip report. She made some great stuff for her older DD to coordinate with her younger one.
Thanks! I was going to suggest she check out my TR, it would be nice if I got around to updating it! If my internet stays up it should be today (although it IS housecleaning day

) DD10 liked her applique t's. Well, she liked everything. I bought her a really simple reversible halter top from Gymboree that I need to trace and make a pattern from. I want to make her a minnie dot top with it. I'm thinking/hoping that I may have a one day DL trip on June 8. DD10 and I are flying to L.A. for Dnephew's wedding and my sisters and I are each bringing one kid (a 17 year old and a 17 month old). Our choice is to go to the beach on Sunday w/my brother's family who live in Alaska, or ditch them and go to
Disneyland
we're leaning towards ditching them.

So of course DD10 needs something NEW to wear, just in case, right?
