We have been so busy.

Jord met the "Sisters" the other day. The kids all had fun playing together. I even got a picture of Jord and Cory. :goodvibes

My dear sweetie bought me a new sewing machine for Mothers Day (and a box set of I Love Lucy :lovestruc ). So I have been trying to rearrange my sewing area. SO far I have found 3 rubbermaid tubs of fabric LOL.

We also went to the preview of the Simpsons ride at Universal. We tried to ride Toy Story Mania and it kept breaking down. But Morgan looked cute in her Potato head outfit LOL.

Hello Everyone! We're back...yes I know...already? I decided to cut it a day short, and we might go back next weekend..
Here's a few highlights...You CAN find quality lodging for 30 dollars a night...
Walmart flips flops should not be the choice footwear for commando theme parking..Mike and Sully do NOT sign autographs..:scared1: When in doubt...ask...it just might be another Diser...(I ran into one of our own in Pop's food court) And no matter how cute your kids look...:cutie: they still get on your nerves by the end of the day...oh yeah, chocolate milkshakes make for a quiet ride home :rotfl:
I'm exhaused...I will post pictures tomorrow...as Tigger says..TTFN!

You ran into another Diser in Pop's food court? Hmmm....strange.....I did, too!

It was so great to meet you! Your girls are very sweet. Alexis came and gave my kids and my nieces hugs when they were leaving. I wish we had gotten pics together! I wasn't even thinking.

I also met the Diser Sisters! I saw Heather & Teresa at AK on Friday. And here's the pic to prove it.
Colby's in the Mickey shorts, Heidi is wearing the pink Mickey peasant dress, me and my niece in our Mickey tie-dye shirts, Heather, Teresa, Tessa & Arminda, and Aleah in the princess dress.

Here are more pics from our trip. At the Pirate & Princess Party Friday night. My two girls are in the pirate skirts and Minnie tops.

At DHS on Saturday. (I just read someone else was there! I didn't see them, but did run into Heather again in line for Playhouse Disney.) Colby's wearing Nemo shirt and shorts, Heidi's in her Mickey & Minnie dress, nieces wearing the Mickey tie-dye's and Aleah in the Minnie peasant dress.

At Pop Century. My girls are wearing the Tinker Bell dresses, one niece in the Tinker Bell pillowcase dress, another in the Mickey tie-dye (we should've worn them all on the same day), Colby in his Mickey shirt and shorts. My other niece isn't wearing a custom!!! :scared1:

Not great pics, but it's the best I can do. My sister and I went with our 3 kids. No husbands. They wanted to stay home! Can you believe they missed a trip to the World?!?!

OOH! OOH! What machine did you get? Congrats! I hope you love it!

LOVE the pictures! I swear, nothing makes me happier than seeing people's pictures from Disneyworld! (unless they are pictures I took at Disneyworld because I got to be there!) How fun you got to see the SISTAS!! LUCKY!

My first computerized sewing machine:scared1: .

It is the Brother 5000. I still have not taken it out of the box-but I have been reading the manual.

I usually get the machine out and play with it first, then read the manual when I mess something up :rotfl:

Hey ladies. i was going to sew but then sickness struck again! I have been sick working with a fever for nearly two weeks now.

 get better soon! Hope you've seen a doctor since you've been fighting that fever so long.

oh my, I :lovestruc that Pooh fabric! And I love how that dress is reversible... and that the elephant and pooh bear are perfectly set!

it's perfecto...love it!

Hi, I am a lurker on here and just love all the customs that I see. I have a 4 yo daughter that I wish I can sew for but I have no clue how to sew. I would love to get myself a cheap sewing machine and start learning. We have a trip plan for October. It will be our first trip.

hi! welcome :flower3:

We went to the one in OP - the plaza one is always crazy busy! The one in OP is sometimes crazy busy, but not quite as bad - plus the parking is easier!

Probably a good choice! Hope your cheesecake was as tasty as mine.

I went into Hancock Fabrics just to check on a special fabric order and I ended up buying more fabric. I finally gave in and bought the Epcot fabric and I got a really cute one that had children around the bottom and a super cute one that has rainbows and animal shaped clouds on it. I have no clue what I am going to do with any of it. I guess I have to make an Epcot dress now.

It is night fabric but it is boutique. :)

Now the pics are not the best I had to use the old camera. The purse was a huge hit!!! It was fun to paint again. I have not painted anything in about six months. Once I had a quiet room it went really fast. :) I most likely will do purses to match my customs for now on. Both of my girls are purse hounds so they will love them.

OMG that is beautiful!!! Jenna would have a fit over this.

OMG, I'm so excited because I just scored an old fasioned Sears Kenmore sewing machine, the kind that folds into a table for storage, I got it at the Salvation Army thrift shop for $25!! I can now start sewing for my girls. I'm taking my DS (6) and DD (4) to WDW this summer and would like to make some outfits. Is there anything for boys or just girls? I think I'm going to have fun hangin' out around here.

I just started sewing for DS2. For our Disney trip he wore mainly Mickey head tees. I have recently discovered CarlaC's easy fit pants on YCMT. It's my favorite pattern!! Here's a few things I've made him to give you some inspiraton...

Your DS always look so cute weather he is stuck in a bush or in an adorable outfit (or pettiskirt.) Can you hear me snickering? :)

I love this fabric and I just bought the stripes tonight. I remembered you did the crabs but did not realize those were the other fabrics you picked. I am so glad you did. I was worried they would not match but the do perfectly!

ETA- This one is my favorite. . . well I think. :)

LOL!! Yeah, I hear the snickering, but I think it's coming from me!! I'm doing a stripwork skirt in the crab fabrics for DD. It's all pieced together, I just need to do an underskirt and ruffle for it. It's been sitting on my ironing board for 2 weeks now!! Can't wait to see what you're making with the fabric.

BTW - I love your purse!! It turned out awesome!!

You know what is really funny??? Whose dd is wearing that pettiskirt now. :)

I am going to make Sophee a capri and tank set. It is for an event at the end of May. shhhh I may even l*st it. I am looking at three skirts that are 99% off the way done. All they need is waistbands. :)

Thanks DD loved the bag so I was happy. She was very helpful base coating it but I painted Giselle when she went to bed. I girl needs a little elbow room. :cutie:

Ya know, I still haven't seen a picture of her in that petti! Too bad you don't live closer, we could take his and her pictures together and l*st both sets!! How cute would they be, holding hands wakling down a beach!!

I just want to thank everyone for the wonderful compliments on my pooh dress and peasant dress. I had a lot of fun making them...they were so easy using CarlaC's patterns. The pooh material came from Hobby Lobby and my daughter loves that she can choose who is on front. Can't wait to make more!

I can't recall if I responded to your post  , but I teach sewing to people in my home. If you are not able to attend classes, I highly recommend you check out craftster.org to get you started with simple projects. Also, the book Sew Everything Workshop by Diana Rupp is wonderful.

Once you start, you don't want to stop. GL!

OH! I just love this! I think I will CASE this for Zoe. She wanted a "princess-y" crayon roll-up and she got lightening McQueen. lol.

That sounds like what happened with my youngest daughter. I am making her a ruffled top using an easy McCall's pattern. I have all this princessy fabrics and yet she chose the Lightning McQueen one. lol

I went hunting all day yesterday for fabric to go with the Little Einsteins material. Be honest, what do you think of this combo:

I am planning on doing the criss cross dress from YCMT.

I love that combination. I have the LE fabric in red, too.

WTG and welcome! :)

I actually prefer my vintage Kenmore and White machines because they are workhorses.

As for boy patterns, YCMT has good patterns. I did notice that in the fabric shops there isn't much of a wide variety of patterns for boys so I always keep my eye out on older patterns at thrift stores and on ebay.

Happy sewing, all! I am loving everyone's projects. I did some browsing on ebay and, of course, the prices for customs is crazy, but you all saved so much doing it yourselves. :thumbsup2
