I'm on a roll - my second post. :cool1: I knew I could count on you guys for prayers and well wishes - I just get good feelings when I read all your posts - so I guess that is why I opened up to you on the night before my surgery. It's set for 7:30 tomorrow - and I do believe in prayers. I will need help figuring out the quote thing - and how to post pictures but will have lots of time to do that.

I do have a mean looking ruffle - not attached to anything that I could share - guess it would be a start.

Marla

Okay, I had to order the pink petti from the Disney Store. I had to buy Giselle shoes anyway so I just added the skirt. Shh... Don't tell DH. He'd probably be more upset about the dress up shoes. :rotfl: Delaney is a shoe girl.

We were in LUSH in Georgetown (Wash. DC), Delaney couldn't have been but maybe 2, and this lady walks in with easily a $400 pair of shoes, Delaney stops dead in front of the lady and says "Oooooo! Pretty shoes!" The lady just chuckled and said that Delaney had great taste in shoes. :lmao: I have no idea where she gets it from, I'm a flip flop kinda girl myself, but Delaney loves her some shoes.

Well, I am wiped out and I think I'm going to head off toward bed. We have to get up early tomorrow and I'd like to get in a little reading and be asleep before midnight for a change.

I'll be praying for you while I get my girls ready for school! Just make sure and get lots of rest after and don't rush back into housework. That just happens to be my everyday advice, but it really does apply here!

Would it be corny if I made myself some Disney sundresses for our trip? hehe...I'm jealous of all this stuff I'm making for Violette :rotfl:

I finished 2 things that have been on the "list"
First is a hooded towel for an auction basket for a preschool fundraiser- it was SO EASY!!!

It was very nice today but kinda windy. but it felt so good to be outside!! and not have a coat on!!!:cool2:
and how artsy are my pics?

Marla-prayers are with you. My Grandmother had a masectomy due to breast cancer. My Mom has had numerous lumps removed-so far benign. I know how emotional it must be to go thru this. Just remember- you are still 100% all woman and God loves you just the way you are. Hugs to you!

Crab fabric- ooooh so adorable

Cinderella dress- that is really sweet- I like the Moda blended in and your finishing touches really step it up to a tru "DisBoutique"!

Pettis- you girls are too funny- all it took was 1 post. LOL!!

I bought the A-line dress pattern from YMCT and am hoping to wrap up my Ariel outfit tomorrow -just have buttons and easy fit pants with cuffs to do and then start the portrait peasant dress.Perhaps Ill finish it time for her party on Sunday

I decided this year I would order a cake instead of buying one. I got the Mickey and Minnie themed cake. $30 for the one that feeds 24ppl!! I ALWAYS bake-but Im forcing myself to make this party non-stressful.
Our new couch and loveseat arrived today- woohoo!! Bob's Discount Furniture! I made sure to get it "Goof-Proofed"

-on my journey to getting pregnant I met with my Gastro Doc yesterday and I am now scheduled for an upper endoscopy to see how Barrett's is doing and then a gastric something or other (stomach screening) they will feed me radio active scrambled eggs and then watch my stomach for 4 hours. Oh Boy! More fun than a barrel of monkeys I bet. He suspects my stomach isnt emptying quickly enough, although there are no safe meds to help this during preg.

Hoping DH will find camera so i can post pic of Ariel outfit. I have to say I wish they would put some clothes on that girl! (am I the only one?) I was thinking of putting a little piece of fabric-made into a little top and sewing it on top of her nekidness- for the one ride on the bodice of the dress.

Who was looking for "rash guard" swim tops? I dont know what size they go up to but both the Disney Outlet I was at, as well as the Disney store had them- Minnie Mouse in yellow, Buzz Lightyear, Princesses, there were several.
I also bought at Target. And Rugged Bear often has a cute "wet suit" looking one- I love this last year- zips up back, only thing is for kids with diapers its a bit of a pain to change them.

DD did NOT sleep well last night- I tried bringing her to bed with me. BAD idea. didnt sleep til 2:30- after I finally gave her a bottle and returned her to her crib. I cant believe she'll be 2 on Monday!!!!

So cute! Did you use a bath towel and hand towel to make that?
Dont you just love that butterfly fabric! Did you see the A-line I posted? I think it was in part 3...It goes so well with so many other colors. I even lined it with yellow minkee for reversible pants this spring.
Love your pics! really cute!

That is super cute and great job not using a pattern.

No! I'm making me some capris and some shirts and they will all match what my DD is wearing.

We just got a new sofa and loveseat too. RED!!! I'll have to post pics. We really needed it. This is DH's and my first furniture together. What we had before was hand me downs and they were seriously falling apart. What color did you get??

Good Luck at the doc's and on getting PG again.

 Happy Early Birthday to your very pretty DD!!!

The 4D is pretty easy to use. That's what I have. I used to TEACH 3D classes for Viking, so I am still learning the 4D, as I resisted the change...I actually changed for the auto digitizing. The applique making is very easy.

BTW: there is a way to read the brother disney cards to your computer with the 4D system....I don't know it, but I used to do it a few years ago with the 3D system....I need to go look it up after I get home...and buy a new card reader, as my son stepped on my old one. :rolleyes1

Thanks so much for posting! I was kind of worried about the 4D being difficult.

This is a plaid- very New England style. Rose and raspberry with green and a bit of cream, with accent pillow in cream with floral on it.

DH and I carried our former couch out to the street for trash pick-up- costs $30 to throw it out! LOL!! Same here- first real set we have bought. We got a L-shaped one for TV room a few years ago- but thats not the same. This makes me feel like we have a real living room now- of course this is more of a family room for us.- its not as red as it looks in this photo.

I love the color and style of your sofas!
Our new sofa and chairs are due to arrive in 2 weeks. I'll post pics.

I have been lurking for months now and you guys have got me sewing again. I use to sew for myself years ago and stopped sewing when I had children - had the late in life. They are now 9 and 7 and wish I had seen these gorgeous clothes back when my daughter ws young - she would have looked adorable. I think I have talked her into some capris with ruffles- which leads me to why I was going to post - I bought a ruffler today - after seeing ideas and such posted here and looked at it a couple of times at Joanns - honestly did not even know they made such a thing. So I bought one today and went to YCMT and down loaded the ruffler guide and was so proud of myself when I made a ruffle - almost brought tears to my eyes. Am having surgery tomorrow - Breast cancer - but I know you all will be a part of my recovery. When I am able to - I will post more - feel like dropped a bomb and all I wanted to do was to share my excitement of the ruffler.

Marla
:welcome: I hope all goes well with your surgery tomorrow. We'll be praying for you.

It was a hand towel cut in half and a towel. I looked at all the google websites, then kinda went with how I thought it should go. They were all a little different. It was very quick- I think all the kids in know will be getting hooded towels :rolleyes1
I'm gonna have to check the photobucket for your outfit- I bought that butterfly material like 2 months ago and was going to do an easter outfit but I ended up with bunny material too
