I'm on a roll - my second post.I knew I could count on you guys for prayers and well wishes - I just get good feelings when I read all your posts - so I guess that is why I opened up to you on the night before my surgery. It's set for 7:30 tomorrow - and I do believe in prayers. I will need help figuring out the quote thing - and how to post pictures but will have lots of time to do that.
I do have a mean looking ruffle - not attached to anything that I could share - guess it would be a start.

I LOVE that fabric. If you dont mind me asking where did you find it ?
I vote for standing up in middle for the shirt.

That is super cute and great job not using a pattern.
No! I'm making me some capris and some shirts and they will all match what my DD is wearing.Would it be corny if I made myself some Disney sundresses for our trip? hehe...I'm jealous of all this stuff I'm making for Violette![]()

We just got a new sofa and loveseat too. RED!!! I'll have to post pics. We really needed it. This is DH's and my first furniture together. What we had before was hand me downs and they were seriously falling apart. What color did you get??Our new couch and loveseat arrived today- woohoo!! Bob's Discount Furniture! I made sure to get it "Goof-Proofed"
-on my journey to getting pregnant I met with my Gastro Doc yesterday and I am now scheduled for an upper endoscopy to see how Barrett's is doing and then a gastric something or other (stomach screening) they will feed me radio active scrambled eggs and then watch my stomach for 4 hours. Oh Boy! More fun than a barrel of monkeys I bet. He suspects my stomach isnt emptying quickly enough, although there are no safe meds to help this during preg.
DD did NOT sleep well last night- I tried bringing her to bed with me. BAD idea. didnt sleep til 2:30- after I finally gave her a bottle and returned her to her crib. I cant believe she'll be 2 on Monday!!!!
The 4D is pretty easy to use. That's what I have. I used to TEACH 3D classes for Viking, so I am still learning the 4D, as I resisted the change...I actually changed for the auto digitizing. The applique making is very easy.
BTW: there is a way to read the brother disney cards to your computer with the 4D system....I don't know it, but I used to do it a few years ago with the 3D system....I need to go look it up after I get home...and buy a new card reader, as my son stepped on my old one.![]()
This is a plaid- very New England style. Rose and raspberry with green and a bit of cream, with accent pillow in cream with floral on it.We just got a new sofa and loveseat too. RED!!! Good Luck at the doc's and on getting PG again.
Happy Early Birthday to your very pretty DD!!!

DH and I carried our former couch out to the street for trash pick-up- costs $30 to throw it out! LOL!! Same here- first real set we have bought. We got a L-shaped one for TV room a few years ago- but thats not the same. This makes me feel like we have a real living room now- of course this is more of a family room for us.- its not as red as it looks in this photo.

I have been lurking for months now and you guys have got me sewing again. I use to sew for myself years ago and stopped sewing when I had children - had the late in life. They are now 9 and 7 and wish I had seen these gorgeous clothes back when my daughter ws young - she would have looked adorable. I think I have talked her into some capris with ruffles- which leads me to why I was going to post - I bought a ruffler today - after seeing ideas and such posted here and looked at it a couple of times at Joanns - honestly did not even know they made such a thing. So I bought one today and went to YCMT and down loaded the ruffler guide and was so proud of myself when I made a ruffle - almost brought tears to my eyes. Am having surgery tomorrow - Breast cancer - but I know you all will be a part of my recovery. When I am able to - I will post more - feel like dropped a bomb and all I wanted to do was to share my excitement of the ruffler.

It was a hand towel cut in half and a towel. I looked at all the google websites, then kinda went with how I thought it should go. They were all a little different. It was very quick- I think all the kids in know will be getting hooded towelsSo cute! Did you use a bath towel and hand towel to make that?
Dont you just love that butterfly fabric! Did you see the A-line I posted? I think it was in part 3...It goes so well with so many other colors. I even lined it with yellow minkee for reversible pants this spring.
Love your pics! really cute!
