Thanks!

Nana made it for my girls!

I finished my applique tutorial!!
It has LOTS of pictures, so I put it
online as a PDF download.
If you'd like to download it, here's a link:

Teresa is also going to put it in her blog. She'll post a link when she does that.

That is so helpful! Thank you so much! I had no clue how to do an applique. It's hard to read through a tutorial without clear pictures. You're awesome! Thanks!

So, I have to show you guys one of the newest things that Nana made on her fancy embroidery machine. We're at the end of our cheer competition season, so I'm having her make t-shirts for all the little girls, making all the complexion/hair colors match the girls.

Thats the purple fabric I got for $1.00 a yard yesterday. I got 11 and a half yards what was left on the bolt. I was so  hubby thought I was crazy. :rotfl:

I don't think that you're crazy, because I bought it last year at Hancocks on clearance for cheap, cheap, cheap!!!:woohoo:

Im hopping aboard :) I LOVE to sew. Im currently brainstorming outfits for my kiddos for our 4 or 5 day stay this december (we picked a date YAY! lol)
So far Ive got down to create:
High school musical Cheer outfits(red and white w/ sequin trim) for my girls.
Disney Princess Dresses for all girls (they want a ariel, belle and Im going to do cinderella for jorja i think)
Jorja- Bambi themed outfit , she LOVES her bambi stuff here at the house
Im also making all 3 girls minnie dot halters w/ matching capris.
Im still coming up w/ more to make ;) Im wondering how many clothing changes we can squeeze in ;) hehehe.
Im planning on making Mickey head shirts for my son or get some of the embroidered disney polos for him. He will be 10 by the time our trips up so he doesnt want babyish stuff lol.he did request a pirates shirt.
I think as a surprize Im going to make my DH and my FIL (hes going too) pirate themed tshirts too :) At least get them to wear them for pics.
This is our first family vacation trip and Im so excited I cant wait.Im like a big bundle of nerves thinking about pulling it off, but its going to be SO worth it.
Heres some of my work Ive recently done for them. Ive just finished a 3 piece whale themed set, and a 101 dalmations set too. Ill post pics of those ASAP.its raining and my model is sickly today.

The outfits are wonderful!!!

So it was 50+ 2 days in a row!!!! And will be almost 60 tomorrow!!! but then it goes downhill a little they are talking thunderstorms for saturday then turning to snow/rain mix for sunday :sad2: I know you all wanted to know the weather forcast for my area :lmao: :rolleyes1
Now off to do some youtube surfing

That sounds EXACTLY like our weather forecast!

why??

When you haven't brushed your hair - just pulled it back into a ponytail?

Aren't wearing makeup?? (nothing new there)

Are sweating from chasing a wee monkey around??

Pushing a preschooler in a pushchair - while carrying a toddler in a back carrier?

Oh and your wearing a tracksuit (not a fancy dancy one either)

Do you get interviewed for a television show??

Talk about embarrassing - and I said no - but they talk you into it.

Ah well - hopefully my embarrassed stammer stops them from airing it :rolleyes1

Hehe - they asked me if I felt pressured to keep up with the "supermum" image - I laughed - seriously lady look at me do I look like a supermum??

I just said I don't care what other people think - I only care what make my girls happy :)

Hmm, well if they do air it, I hope you put it on youtube so we can all see too!:rotfl: I bet you looked great!

Welcome! We LOVE it when new people (or lurkers coming out of hiding) post PHOTOS!!!:dance3:

I wanted to add that if anyone finds a mistake in my applique tutorial, PM me (I'm not into public humiliation)! I didn't proofread it very well last night at 1:00am! Also, PM me if something is confusing in it and I can try to elaborate on it.

Seventeen people have downloaded it so far! :woohoo: It's great to be able to help out some appliquers!

If you're not sure what kind of file this is, it will be in the same file format as the ones from youcanmakethis.

Here's the link again: http://www.4shared.com/file/42964646/ec80b21a/Applique_Tutorial_by_Heather_Sue.html

Thank you! I wanted to be able to do this and could never get it right in my head...can't get anything right in my head most days! :headache:

Yup, you sure are! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

I think you know very well why I'm still awake, my dear sister :snooty: .

:rotfl2: I hope you are feeling better this morning.

So here is the plan for the 5019- that's the apron dress pattern number ;)
47b8da22b3127cceb74a7496345800000026101AZsXLhszbMY

This is fabric I am making dds first romper/jon jon out of- it is all cut just needs to be sewn.
47b8da22b3127cceb74a743234fc00000025101AZsXLhszbMY

I also bought this pattern when it was on sale at Joanns last week- Has any one used it? Do you have any helpful hints to share? It looked cute and versatile. Haven't decided on fabrics to use yet.

I also have a matching set of outfits in the works for ds and dd from a story book panel I picked up in the remnant bin at hancocks.

So many projects so little sew time. Guess I should give up sleep:lmao: Just kidding- can you say zombie momma

Hope everyone had a good day- looks like alot of conversating went on today ( do you like that word better heather)
I'm gonna try to catch up.

I have that butterfly material, and the sparkley stripes! I love both of those. I've found many uses for the sparkley stripes fabric. It is so pretty!!! Those are going to look great together, Anna!
It's really Annastasia but I go by Anna- not even my own mother when she was mad at me called me my real name- My daddy named me and gave me a super long name and they added an extra n to make even longer- When I was in school my name on the attendace sheet said annastasi- It only fits 9 letters in the computer. I love my name but it is usual to long for people so they all just call me Anna- but I will answer to both- Aren't you glad you asked :lmao:
Which would you prefer to be called? I can type either one pretty fast! ;)

Yes, I do like that word better, Disneymommie of 2! That jumper is going to be SOO cute! Could you refresh my memory on what your "real" name is?

Your girls are DARLING!! The outfits are so cute, I love the little pirate halter dress!

Helllllllo Girls!
I cant believe how fast the pages build up. But I love being a part of this thread. I am a part of it right?

Can I just say- I never liked that Nanny business and I wont even look up season 1, episode 8 because I know reality tv is so NOT reality! [Id like to add something witty and funny here- but Ive rewritten and deleted several attempts at being funny, Im afraid I was born missing a funny bone, I mean I know what funny is, I can laugh. But my attempts at jokes are really sad]-its probably why I never got "hit" by the tag fairy. But know that I laugh with you and am glad you can laugh at it all!!

Second, pumpkin head outfits and skirts are sooo cool and super tiggerific!. can this go in the photobucket?

Castlecreations- If you are hungry-you are on a bad diet. You may not get to eat what you WANT to eat- but you SHOULD eat.
-veggies- they burn calories and dont add fat
-protien- try a nutrigrain waffle toasted with 1T peanut butter (the real kind)
fruits like apples are good- we have to burn a lot of calories to digest, sweet and satisfying
-Milk!
You CAN do it! You are gonna look like a rock star after all this hard work!!

Pillowcase Wanter- super easy to make! I can PM directions if you like- just let me know. The hardest part will not be the sewing, but getting that Minnie Mouse fabric

On the Minnie Mouse fabric- if anyone comes across this stuff please let me know. Id love to have some-but not at $10 a yard plus shipping off :wizard:

Now- the reason I am on here and not sitting at my sewing machine....
I finished the top (which that pattern totally stinks because it leaves out several chunks of directions. I had a difficult time.
I am now onto the shorts. These are unlined shorts- After I gather my ruffle fabric- how do I attach it so that that gathered stuff doesnt just stick out and scratch her?

bind the edges w/ double fold bias tape ;)
Ive done it to some of my girls tulle items and it works wonders !
on the inside seam after youve sewn your pieces together, sew on some double fold bias tape over your gathered /edges and it closes it all up and makes it not scratchy.

Oh I showed her pictures, talked about how GORGEOUS Princess Leia is, how she is all about GIRL POWER...but Sally' wasn't having it...she knows when she is being mocked. That's what was bugging her the most. Mean kid...I'd like to dole out some GIRL POWER on him!

Ok, I've gotten behind the last few days, but I just want to say that this is awful. Poor girl. For the record, I think it's cute & have personally gone out in public as an adult at least 3 times with very similar hair. I even have pics to prove it.

That is the cutest family pic.

I can't say this has ever happened to me, but I do always tend to run into an old boyfriend when I'm looking my worst. Also, the really cute UPS guy only comes when I'm still in my pajamas and haven't showered yet.

Oh HeatherSue...I hear ya on the handsome UPS guy!!! I think that is a job requirement...you have to be eye candy!:lmao:

What a DARLING family picture!!! Thanks for sharing it!! Your hair looks SO CUTE!!! I'll show it to Sally as soon as she gets home!!

I also going to show her a Redi-Whip commercial I DVR'd...the little girl had ballerina buns in her hair!! I'm on a mission now!! I am determined to repair the damage that was done to Sally's sense of style!princess:
