Hey Heather, you are up too late, go to bed! ;) I'm off to dreamland myself... One more day until Spring Break!!!

And, in case anyone is wondering, SUMMER is here!!! I know this, because today I saw not one but TWO ice cream trucks!!WITH the music playing!!! I told Arminda that it must be summer, but she didn't believe me! So, I pointed out the name of the ice cream company, "SUMMER Song" right there in writing. There's no arguing with THAT!

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Seriously, am I like the worlds biggest dork or what!

Yup, you sure are! :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

I think you know very well why I'm still awake, my dear sister :snooty: .

So here is the plan for the 5019- that's the apron dress pattern number ;)

The butterflies for the front, strips for the back and purple for the pants and a shirt probably a peasant top.

This is fabric I am making dds first romper/jon jon out of- it is all cut just needs to be sewn.

I also bought this pattern when it was on sale at Joanns last week- Has any one used it? Do you have any helpful hints to share? It looked cute and versatile. Haven't decided on fabrics to use yet.

I also have a matching set of outfits in the works for ds and dd from a story book panel I picked up in the remnant bin at hancocks.

So many projects so little sew time. Guess I should give up sleep:lmao: Just kidding- can you say zombie momma:eek:

Hope everyone had a good day- looks like alot of conversating went on today ( do you like that word better heather) ;) :rotfl2:
I'm gonna try to catch up. :surfweb:

Yes, I do like that word better, Disneymommie of 2! That jumper is going to be SOO cute! Could you refresh my memory on what your "real" name is?

I finished my applique tutorial!!
It has LOTS of pictures, so I put it
online as a PDF download.
If you'd like to download it, here's a link:

Teresa is also going to put it in her blog. She'll post a link when she does that.

It's really Annastasia but I go by Anna- not even my own mother when she was mad at me called me my real name- My daddy named me and gave me a super long name and they added an extra n to make even longer- When I was in school my name on the attendace sheet said annastasi- It only fits 9 letters in the computer. I love my name but it is usual to long for people so they all just call me Anna- but I will answer to both- Aren't you glad you asked :lmao:

So it was 50+ 2 days in a row!!!! And will be almost 60 tomorrow!!! but then it goes downhill a little they are talking thunderstorms for saturday then turning to snow/rain mix for sunday :sad2: I know you all wanted to know the weather forcast for my area :lmao: :rolleyes1
Now off to do some youtube surfing

Our weather was nice here also but I wish it wasn't as hot as it was today. I have to wait in line for Jenna to get out of school and I got a sunburn on my arm. I guess I should be wearing sunscreen. I hate the weather here. I wish I was somewhere cooler.

Thank you for these. The second one looks like it might actually help. The only thing is this doll has some kind of plastic tube holding her leg in. Other than that it looks to be about the same. Oh well if I can't fix it she has another one on the way. A replacement only cost $34 so I'm not sweating it.

Sugarbees-Just want to say you are very brave to share your family. I hope you all had a great experience! Sorry you were not being supported by your "partner" :confused3

I love this fabric!!!! Its gorgeous.

I have only ever watched one episode of the US Supernanny and you'll never guess which one it was!!!!

Heathersue - thanks for the tutorial. I've appliqued loads before but always onto cotton for quilting so I'm not familiar with using stabiliser. You've given me loads of confidence to give it a try now!!!!

why??

When you haven't brushed your hair - just pulled it back into a ponytail?

Aren't wearing makeup?? (nothing new there)

Are sweating from chasing a wee monkey around??

Pushing a preschooler in a pushchair - while carrying a toddler in a back carrier?

Oh and your wearing a tracksuit (not a fancy dancy one either)

Do you get interviewed for a television show??

Talk about embarrassing - and I said no - but they talk you into it.

Ah well - hopefully my embarrassed stammer stops them from airing it :rolleyes1

Hehe - they asked me if I felt pressured to keep up with the "supermum" image - I laughed - seriously lady look at me do I look like a supermum??

I just said I don't care what other people think - I only care what make my girls happy :)

I forgot to tell you how much I love these outfits and shoe charms(what with all the discovering we have a "celebrity" in our midst and all)! I especially love the little dress you made! I wanted to get a pattern that looked similar to this at Hobby Lobby yesterday, but it wasn't in stock. It was a Project Runway pattern, is that what this is?

it's a different simplicity one, it's 3511 but I have the project runway one as well and hope to try it out soon. I believe Utah Mama has sewn with that one already so she can probably let you know how that one is :) I've made 3511 twice now and I really like the pattern, it's quick and easy and only a few steps are fiddly :)

That happened to me and DH. We walked to a nearby store and the local news team was standing at the door asking people how they felt about some repairs the city was doing to the traffic circle that is in the middle of town. My hair was brushed, but nothing had been done with it, and I was not wearing my finest clothes. I was the one who ended up on TV.

Thanks so much for the tutorial. It's very easy to understand.

Yes, I am glad I asked! I knew I "knew" what your name was, but I couldn't remember. There are so many "disneymommy#s" out there and I wanted to refer to you by name (when Teresa and I talk about how sweet you are and cute your kids are)!

I can't say this has ever happened to me, but I do always tend to run into an old boyfriend when I'm looking my worst. Also, the really cute UPS guy only comes when I'm still in my pajamas and haven't showered yet.

I wanted to add that if anyone finds a mistake in my applique tutorial, PM me (I'm not into public humiliation)! I didn't proofread it very well last night at 1:00am! Also, PM me if something is confusing in it and I can try to elaborate on it.

Seventeen people have downloaded it so far! :woohoo: It's great to be able to help out some appliquers!

If you're not sure what kind of file this is, it will be in the same file format as the ones from youcanmakethis.

Here's the link again: http://www.4shared.com/file/42964646/ec80b21a/Applique_Tutorial_by_Heather_Sue.html

You're welcome!

I just looked up 3511 in Simplicity.com and it only comes up to a size 4. That's probably why I went for the Project Runway one (3510) when I was searching through the online catalog.

How was this pattern, UtahMama?

ETA: Wow, I just posted 3 times in a row, how obnoxious am I?
ETAA(that's Edited To Add Again): LOOK AT MY TICKER!!!!! 29 DAYS!!!!!

Thanks! I can't wait to try it! I am thinking of using for my little einsteins outfit!

Heather - the tutorial is great!
but it doesn't tell you what to do if you can't sew in the lines! :lmao: Or sew a straight line.
I even hand embroidered the curvy parts onto a square piece of fabric.
It was still ugly.

Need some hlep. Does anyone remember here a woman who posted her Mickey/pumpkin heads that she did for her girls? I am looking for an idea for MNSSHP. Any help, greatly appreciated. I'm going to check out our first page links too.

Thanks!

I know just rub it in. I don't get to leave until the day you come back from the world. :sad1:

I did finally start "packing". As I come across things I put them together in the same spot. Jenna got a new bathing suit for our trip last night. She was so excited.
