Oh my gosh I am histerically laughing reading this and I know it was not funny to you! wow, those are some "special" family members!!!

I am glad I wasn't the only one! I swear I was also feeling sorry for you while I laughed Utahmomma. If we don't laugh at our "special" family members we will have to cry.

I had to pretend to forget to put the money in my nephews graduation card last year. I told him I sealed it before I put in in so I could hand it to him. I was afraid my brother and his wife would steal it before Tyler got to see it. I have yet to meet a person who doesn't have at least one klepto in the family.

That plus teh 3,000 lbs worth of rolls on pallets that are currently sitting on my driveway are the reason for the major sell-off. Dh hit the ROOF. He's right, and I would love to be allowed to buy fabric again in the next decade....

----plus, lots of cash on hand for WDW!!

I think a bitty baby is a great start. If I had it to do over again I would not buy any other dolls. I love them! I think 6 or 7 is a good age for the bigger dolls. There are lots of small accesories to keep track of so it depends on your dd's personality. Drew is really anal about keeping her stuff together so she does really well with them. I think she got interested early because of big sister. Riley didn't even ask for one of the big dolls till she was 8.

Whats the difference between a bitty baby and say an American Girl doll? DD has a couple a "sweet pea" which is really a plush doll for infants, and now she has a baby doll- the kind that is sort of a molded plastic, it came wit ha bottle and potty an diaper and changing pad and wets if given a bottle of water. She loves that doll! I got it with the intention of using it for potty training. I am not a doll person, but I dont mind the ones with hair. The baby doll ones creep me out (that and clowns) But if DD likes them...
I was thinking of getting a doll made for her in the Germany toy shop this next trip, I dont know when we will be back again. I am considering TTC again-and I wont want to go to WDW PG.
Has anyone gotten one of those dolls? Or know what they are like?

I bought a few "store closing"s, a couple of estate sales, and almost all of the upholstery fabric is 60" by 36" samples I got for $.10 a pound....but I had to buy in 1,000 pound increments....I bought $200 worth.

And I am selling off my crown.

Dh and I negotiated that i am allowed to have 6 rubbermaids for everything....patterns, trims, fabric, books, etc. The only things not included in "everything" are the machines, a few bolts of antique hand-embroidered linen, embroidery stabilizers, and my embroidery CDs and threads.

And I can decide what to do with what is left after the sell-off, but I already know much will go onto .

But just think.....if ANYONE's DH says ANYTHING about your stash.....here's your photographic evidence that you are NOT as bad as "this lady on my internet board...."

WOW - I am impressed! I so wish I could be there for the sale!! I have just started sewing and have nothing compared to that (two walmart bags). . . I can't wait to see what makes it on

But if I remember you get to tell them what you want for hair, eyes, outfit, etc. Should I not give it to her to play with and "save it" for when she is older? Are there other dolls at WDW that I could give to DD2? Why would it be bad to give her an AG doll or Epcot Germany doll? Any particular reason?

I have not accomplished any sewing tonight! Too busy doing labs4rescue stuff- updating our foster spreadsheet. and Since Im talking about it- heres my foster dog who will be up for adoption in about 3 weeks. Kayla is from southern LA, and is HW+, but getting treatment next monday-Saturday, she is about 10-11months old. Great with kids. We transport all over (all over the south, up to OH and out to ME and NY and all of New England)

Last year I got DD a doll that was a little smaller than the AG doll. She came with a backpack and was dressed in WDW clothes. She loves the doll.

That doggy looks like a bigger version of my baby Tinkerbell.

This doll does come with small peices but you can put them up until your DD is older. I did that with Barbie stuff and then when DD was 5 I gave her a shoe box full of Barbie shoes and purses and all kinds of little accessories for her Barbies. She asked me where they came from and I told her that I had been collecting them since she was 2 (her Nanny Vette gave her her first Barbie when she was two.)

Thanks for the pic. It helps, I dont know what to do. I know DD loves dolls and this will probably be the last opportunity to get her one @ WDW- but they just bug me. Stuffed animals- LOVE THEM! But DD- doesnt really care about them. You should see her with this baby doll. Covers it with a blanket, looks for it, carries it around, gives it a bottle- shes not quite 2- where did she pick this up from???? But I also want to make her happy- my ultimate goal. Im just hoping if Im going to drop "real money" it's a doll I can handle looking at day to day. LOL. Do I sound really really weird?

DD picked a little Disney doll at World of Disney she was in a backpack and had a few accessories. DD also has a My Disney Girl doll that I got when the outlet was selling the brown haired green eyed ones for $13. I think we'll maybe get the my Disney girl doll an outfit or two on this trip, although DD doesn't play with her as much as the small doll she got at Disney this last trip.

Tinka Belle, that's the doll that Delaney picked out. I was surprised since she had been talking about getting another one of the Disney baby plushies. She's got the Minnie one somewhere, I couldn't begin to tell you where.

Heh, wellllllll...in picture 2, there's a purple floral I like. And in picture 1, the lady bug or strawberries with the lt. blue back ground...

I did show my DH and he told me not to get any ideas.
