I don't think the fabric looks too girly at all. I love the Tigger outfit!! Your appliques look really good. I'm not sure why your needles were breaking. That happens to me on occasion and I can never figure out why.

I love your breakfast with Pooh outfitz! Cutie bug kids!

Your kids are sooo cute!! And I think both of the outfits look fantastic as is!

Both of those outfits are adorable. The tigger is perfect for your son and not girly at all. I love the skirt and definitely with the top.

Those are great! I don't think that fabric is girly at all and your daughter's outfit is adorable.

Definitely not too girly, I love that outfit and the girls outfit is super cute too. I think, if you have time, a white underskirt with ruffles would be so cute peeking out from under the skirt :)

I love them both! Tigger is not too girly and the pooh bear shirt goes perfectly with the skirt!!!

I LOVE both outfits!!! They look fantastic, Tigger doesn't look girly at all, and the Pooh shirt looks great with the skirt!!!

OMG...Those are Perfect!...:lovestruc Great for the Crystal Palace, they are sure to get extra attention with those outfits! Both fabric combos are wonderful!! Nana

I don't think this is girly at all! I love the graphic quality to it with the squares!:thumbsup2

Thank you everyone! I am going to keep the skirt as is, and I might do a white underskirt with ruffles - I like that suggestion!

Here's Gabi's new outfit, she'll probably wear a tee shirt under the top when we go to Disney as she is so pale and burns so easily. I also am making them a bit big for now as we don't go until September :)

Love the reversible outfit. I will have to try one of those, and I love your pictures!

I finally got the Fabric Hound website to work for me and had to show all the pattern that I bought. I can't wait until it comes in. I'm not quite sure what fabric I will use with it.

I also made this for DD today. It is a YCMT pattern. It actually took me 15 minutes to make this.
th_S2010094.jpg

That looks like a really cute pattern, and your dd's outfit is really cute too, and wow..15 minutes.

I just got a bunch of fabric to start making outfits for my munchkins, and hopefully I'll have some free time this week to actually get started.

In the meantime, I thought I'd share a few things I've made.

Now, if only my husband would organize his junk more neatly. :sad2:

You are very talented, and love, love the bookcase!

Love the incredible outfit! Even dh said that it looks great!

First, I wanted to post this picture of Tessa's Build-A-Bear wearing the "Sew Boutique for Dolly and Me Simply Sweet Dress". It matches Tessa's Birthday/Easter Hello Kitty dress.
Tessa took this picture herself!

The matching dolly/build a bear outfit is so cute, and I really like the jumper and the fancy topstitching on the peasant dress!

Teresa, (Glad you're feeling some better)! I need your help. You mentioned a site you used that saved your favorites. I went there and saved my favorites, but now that my faves disappeared!!!! I don't know the name of the site. Don't you love when the computer expert says, "I've never seen that happen before." :confused3? Thanks for your help!

okay I almost ripped up the Belle dress I'm making as a surprise for DD8! Tonight they went to mil's for dinner and I stayed behind due to some soreness from dental surgery today. So I ran my basting stitch to do the ruffle for the sleeves, but the machine kept on jamming up. D** that machine. I pulled stitches and re-sewed it twice before going onto attaching the sleeve to the bodice, but I must have been so upset with everything that I sewed the sleeve on wrong.

I shoved everything into the bag and put it away. Tomorrow I'm home so I'll work on it again. Craziness!! Plus DH just told me that he doesn't want to buy DD5 the white Giselle dress - he wants me to make one for her...hello did he not hear that I was making the yellow Belle dress for DD8's friend? We're surprising all of them with PPP tickets! Of course you need a princess dress for that!

Did I mention I'm still not packed and we leave in less than 50 days. I know I'm crazy, but usually I'm packed by now.

I think I'm having a stress breakdown.:flower3:
Take a deep breath, pour yourself something to drink (alcoholic or not that it is your choice), and just wait until tomorrow and try again.

DD got a note sent home from her teacher. She has asked that Jenna wear a uniform everyday to school. I'm just not sure which one of my outfits she is in reference to. I knew that was going to happen.

I made this for DS for Easter and want to make something out of the same fabric for DD (age 4 but wears about a 6). Problem is, I only have 30 inches left (plus a yard each of two coordinating easter egg fabrics). What should I make her? I would love for it to be a quick project since there isn't much Easter Season left for her to wear it...

Here's DS's shirt (its an Ottobre western style shirt)

Really cute! The little circle skirt I made for Sydni took less than a yard and about 30min to make! You could try something like that!:confused3

TERESA- Glad you are feeling a little better and I am lovin your new siggy!!!!!

TADAMOM-I am now officially caseing that Incredibles outfit! My dh even said" you NEED to make that for her!" She is getting the movie in her Easter basket, so I need to make it soon!!!!!:scared1:

That stinks!!!!!!:headache: I guess your dd just looked tooo cute, and they couldn't take it!;)

Tinalala- for you! Just relax and take a break tonight and you will be ready to start fresh tomorrow!

TERESA - Love your new siggy pic!

Thanks!!! I can't wait for Heather to see it! :rotfl:
When Lydia saw it she said, "Why is Aunt Heather smiling and you are not?"

Well, look at my HAIR!! Would YOU be smiiling with a hairdo like that??? :confused3 :rotfl2:

BREATHE!!! I think you did the best thing, put it away for awhile, then work on it when you are feeling better. I HATE when things don't work out right, so I feel for you!!!

I hope you get it straightened out.

Love the shirt! I saw the peanuts fabric at my Walmart, but they ran out pretty fast.

Thank You Kell and Georgia!!
Luke loves his Madagascar (or as he used to call it (oscar oscar) p.j.s In fact they turned out so cute I'll let him wear them for "everyday clothes" if he wants (like right now because he won't take them off).

Yikes! Looks like someone's hair needs a trim. Why does it take a photo for me to realize this? :confused3 Poor boy can hardly see :rotfl:

I really like the frayed applique look on the shirt. I think it will work great as "everyday clothes".

Hey All! I've been skimming, and everything looks lovely!

I am finishing up an adult non-Disney outfit, and got a few more things done for my kids for WDW. But I have been having problems with serius pain and numbness in my feet and back pain, so I had gone to the doctor for it. I got the results yesterday. I have peripheral neuropathy in both of m legs. I have to be on meds to regualte the pain and symptoms for 6 weeks, then get testing done to find out what's causing it. BUT I can't sit in my folding chair that is a sewing chair for any length of time, because it makes my feet numb. :sad2: Dh got me a new sewing chair on the internet, adn won't let me sew until it gets here. :sad1: he acually took my power cords with him to work, because he doesn't trust me. :rotfl2:

I guess the house is finally going to get cleaned...and laundry done....and maybe I'll go make some cookies for dessert tonight.....but I have NO IDEA how I am going to be ready for our trip if I am not sewing every day......Actually, I think I'll go figure out embroideries for the outfits.....

Sorry to hear that you are in pain. I hope that the new chair gets to you quickly. I sure hope that they find out what is causing the pain and stop it.

That is SO great!! And perfectly girly, too.

I love the matching HK dress and that princess outfit is darling!! So crisp and sweet. She is going to love it! :cutie:

I love them both! The Tigger is totally boyish, especially the way you did the applique. I think the colors in the skirt are perfect with the top. I don't think you could make it any better, seriously, it's perfect!!

Oh thank you!
I do think I have plenty for a strip skirt or a tiered skirt... (its only 6 inches shorter than a yard) I was hoping to do a stripwork jumper but I don't know how to do the curves at the bottom of the strips (KWIM?). Plus I don't know if I want to spend that much time on it... Does anyone know how much fabric the a-lines take? Of course... DD likes to twirl... Can you see I can't make up my mind about this?

I like this so much I would totally CASE it for my Ds if I had time between now and Easter.

If you don't want to spend the time to do stripwork what about that jumper and just use all Peanuts fabric instead of the strips. Then you could use a coordinating fabric for the bodice and ruffle on the bottom. Then it would be quick and twirly.

THE INCREDIBLES OUTFIT!!!!!!

I gave the Incredibles outfit to my SIL when she came to pick up DN this evening and she was IN LOVE with it!!!!!! She just squealed with delight and went on and on about it! She kept telling my DN that it would be perfect for her Incredibles party and she couldn't wait for her to wear it! It gave me some hope that might see it on her body! But what do you think my DIVA of niece said.........

I don't want an Incredibles party, I want Diego!!!! I just looked at that little DIVA and said -- NO WAY!!!

OHHH NOOOO! I hope your SIL sticks with the Incredibles!

TJ - Great new siggie picture!! Wow! Can I just say how much Lydia looks like her aunt Heather at that age?!?

I went to joann's last night and bought some supplies to make my daughter a dress for the 1st time! I also bought the learn to sew tutorial from ycmt.com. I really like it. It's very easy to follow. I don't know if a dress is too ambitious for a first timer but I'm going to try. I can't upload any new pictures to my computer because it is stupid and I have to wait til I get my taxes back to fix it. But here is a picture of the pattern. I am making the second blue dress. I bought a pretty brown 100% cotton fabric with these pretty pink mod looking roses all over. I'm nervous!

I think you can do this!!!! I just started sewing last Sept. by just doing it! I got some patterns and some fabric and just started sewing! If I can do it YOU can do it! Can't wait to see the dress!

Good Morning, I'm just finishing a cup of coffee while ooo-ing and ahhh-ing over everyones talent. This thread is my new habit.

I have cut out a "trial run" dress this morning. (25 dollar a yard fabric for a bridesmaid dress deserves a trrial run) I haven't sewn for myself in about a million years. It has also been about a million years since I was a size 10 and this sewing for a fat lady isn't fun. (I'm also not sure of a size for myself so I had to get a tape measure out. {{ouch}} I have lost 25 pounds in the past 4 months and I don't have a clue what size to start with until the tape measure was applied.

I picked up a pretty fabric on the dollar table at Walmart. Wish me luck.

My youngest is not real tall... I just cut the bottoms off a bathing suit and I'm going to use a piece of the material to put on a tank top to make an outfit.

Okay i have been lurking and wanting to post but i am behind once again .
But just wanted to say that i love everything that has been posted in the last 3 days ....
I am a lil loopy and thought that Laura's daughter Gabi was wearing two outfits not reversible :rotfl: and Luke looks as handsome as ever in his Madagascar and his smile is too cuteHeather! what a cute princess outfit (who knew you could sew sheets? ) i did not until this board

Jayedyn had to wear her ST. Patty's Day outfit to school today because she goes off track and couldn't wear it on monday but she is so excited and looks cute in it.. I don't know how often i will be on here the next 3 wks I will have to entertain all 5 of my kidlets until April 8th (when they go back on track) i am hoping to get some outfits done and by some i mean alot i really want some more fabric from Hobby Lobby but i have to use what i have 1st before i can justify buying more ...Anyone else have this problem?:rolleyes1

Thanks! She really does look a lot like Heather. I was always so proud of how pretty Heather was. (Still am!) I was always slightly geakier than her!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I think I just need to get use to not having teeth in my mouth. I noticed that I am slurring my words this morning because of it too. I HATE that. I feel so silly. Hopefully I will have one of the temporary bridges by the end of the month and the other next month. I won't know what to do with a full mouth of nice teeth!

Hello everyone. I have been so busy that I got behind in my post so I am kinda cheating and just looking at all the pic. You all have been so busy and to my :scared1: so have I. I  all the outfits boys and girls. I like getting ideas for boy things even though I don't have a boy I have a nephew. I am proud to say my little Megan is getting an honor roll award today and she requested that I make her a skirt. I promise to take pics of her in it today and post. I forgot to this morning. Well enough rambling. By the way so far Emily is doing good in her cast and hasn't complained once about.
