First, I wanted to post this picture of Tessa's Build-A-Bear wearing the "Sew Boutique for Dolly and Me Simply Sweet Dress". It matches Tessa's Birthday/Easter Hello Kitty dress.
Tessa took this picture herself!

Second, here is the incredibly cute daughter of my "Bestest Friend in the Whole Wide World", who is turning 3. She's the one who will be wearing the princess dress:

I made the peasant dress and topped it with the "Simply Sweet" jumper:

Here's just the peasant dress and a closeup of the topstitching:

Here's just the jumper:

Here's Tessa modeling it. :rotfl2: Tessa and Ryen (girl in above picture) have the exact same chest measurement, so I figured she could try it on for the pictures. It's a bit short on her though!:rotfl:

ETA: If you notice an extra white dog butt in the above pictures, that's Henry's grandma's PITB Westie that we're watching for the week while she suns on the beach in Cozumel.

That turned out so cute! I love the pink sparkly underdress!

First, good for you losing the 1/2 pound!!! That's great!!

The Teddy outfit is so cute!!!! Tessa did a great job on the picture!!!

Ryen is GORGEOUS!! WOW!! She looks like her Mommy when she was a little girl!!! I always thought Jenny was such a cutie!!!

She is going to LOVE that gorgeous outfit!!!! :lovestruc SOOO cute!!!! I LOOOVE the fabric!!!!

Glad to hear you are having such fun with Daphne there!!!!

I have a few minutes, and wanted to share couple things that I worked on this week... for breakfast at Crystal Palace...

This is a Tigger set that I made for my ds...do you think the fabric is too girly for a boy? I broke two needles while doing the applique last night, and still have no idea how and why the needles broke.

IMG_4003.jpg

I made this next one for my dd, and need some honest opinions here...I am not sure if I really like the skirt with the top.....should I make another skirt to go with the top? What do you think?

OMG...Those are Perfect!...:lovestruc Great for the Crystal Palace, they are sure to get extra attention with those outfits! Both fabric combos are wonderful!! Nana

I don't think this is girly at all! I love the graphic quality to it with the squares!:thumbsup2

I made this for DS for Easter and want to make something out of the same fabric for DD (age 4 but wears about a 6). Problem is, I only have 30 inches left (plus a yard each of two coordinating easter egg fabrics). What should I make her? I would love for it to be a quick project since there isn't much Easter Season left for her to wear it...

I love both of these outfits!!! I think that Tigger fabric is adorable on your little cutie!

TADAMOM- Sydni just saw your Incredibles outfit and was jumping up and down saying " I want that, I want that!" over and over! Looks like I will be caseing this some time soon!

You tell Sydni that she put a big ol' smile on my face with that one!!!!!

Cute shirt! Would you have enough to make her a stripwork skirt and put some coordinating colors with it?

THE INCREDIBLES OUTFIT!!!!!!

I gave the Incredibles outfit to my SIL when she came to pick up DN this evening and she was IN LOVE with it!!!!!! She just squealed with delight and went on and on about it! She kept telling my DN that it would be perfect for her Incredibles party and she couldn't wait for her to wear it! It gave me some hope that might see it on her body! But what do you think my DIVA of niece said.........

I don't want an Incredibles party, I want Diego!!!! I just looked at that little DIVA and said -- NO WAY!!!

I would either cut the piece into 2 15" (or however long you need) strips, stitch them together and make a layer in a twirl skirt like this:

IMG_0162_edited-1.jpg

Or use them for strips in a double layer strip skirt like this:

Oh thank you!

Cute shirt! Would you have enough to make her a stripwork skirt and put some coordinating colors with it?

I do think I have plenty for a strip skirt or a tiered skirt... (its only 6 inches shorter than a yard) I was hoping to do a stripwork jumper but I don't know how to do the curves at the bottom of the strips (KWIM?). Plus I don't know if I want to spend that much time on it... Does anyone know how much fabric the a-lines take? Of course... DD likes to twirl... Can you see I can't make up my mind about this?

Susan,
Thanks so much for your concern. I think that the risperdall is antipsychotic. It is used to treat schitzophrenia/bi-polar. I will talke w/ her on monday.

We had another tough night last night. :headache:

Risperdal is an antipsychotic and an excellent medication. I know you said her meds had recently been increased and it can take a couple of weeks for an increase to start working. I continue to pray for her.
Susan

okay I almost ripped up the Belle dress I'm making as a surprise for DD8! Tonight they went to mil's for dinner and I stayed behind due to some soreness from dental surgery today. So I ran my basting stitch to do the ruffle for the sleeves, but the machine kept on jamming up. D** that machine. I pulled stitches and re-sewed it twice before going onto attaching the sleeve to the bodice, but I must have been so upset with everything that I sewed the sleeve on wrong.

I shoved everything into the bag and put it away. Tomorrow I'm home so I'll work on it again. Craziness!! Plus DH just told me that he doesn't want to buy DD5 the white Giselle dress - he wants me to make one for her...hello did he not hear that I was making the yellow Belle dress for DD8's friend? We're surprising all of them with PPP tickets! Of course you need a princess dress for that!

Did I mention I'm still not packed and we leave in less than 50 days. I know I'm crazy, but usually I'm packed by now.

I think I'm having a stress breakdown.:flower3:
