I love the underdress and the jumper is even better. Your DS looks very handsome with his new haircut. Oh what pattern did you use for the jumper?

Thanks! I used Carla's YCMT stripwork jumper, just didn't do strips!

I "need" this pattern I absolutely love this dress and what you did with it. Tessa looks adorable in this too!
Zofia wants a Hello Kitty birthday party, so I may just have to make this for her!
Could you walk me though how you did the bottom ruffle?

First, I followed the directions for the cuff hem in the pattern. Then, I cut a strip of fabric 3x the width of the bottom of the skirt and 6" tall. I put the right sides together and sewed up the long end. Then, I turned it right side out. Next, I used my ruffler to ruffle it up. But, instead of sewing along the edge with the ruffler, I sewed in the middle of the strip. So, it's extra "fluffy". Next, I folded over the unfinished edges of the ruffle and sewed them in place. Then, I started at the side seam of the skirt and sewed the ruffle on top of the cuff, all the way around, sewing right over the thread from the ruffler. I hope this is what you were asking!

There's that little cutie pie!! Don't you just love the way a white underdress jazzes up a jumper? They're both SOOO cute!! I love Lily's headband, too!
Seth is looking quite handsome with his new haircut!

I just love the way the Arizona sun makes pictures look! Some of my favorite pictures of the kids were taken in Arizona! Very cute outfit and your model is even cuter!

Wow! What great pictures! The boys look so cute in their customs!! Are you going to write a TR?

Here is my July 4th outfit I just completed! It was nice and warm and sunny today! So we have all our doors open and It is so nice out. Can't wait for the parades this year!

I keep forgetting to tell you I like your "Picture takin' spot" (From the giver of odd compliments)

That is such a sweet set! Very unique.

Beautiful but a little too cold here today. I keep wearing my capris in hopes of a 60-70 degree day. I end up wearing my hoodie with my capris... stylin!

I am the op of the MM fondant. I don't know if anyone has responded (I haven't read that far) but after you make the fondant, mold it into a big ball, grease it with shortening, and wrap it very tightly in saran wrap. I would then store it in a air tight container. When you are ready to use it if it is not very pliable to you, you can microwave it for a few seconds (literally seconds). Have fun, and make sure you post the final creation!

Thank you so much!!! I made it and I think it turned out really cool. The birthday party was today. I am trying to upload my pictures now. As soon as I do I will share pics of the cake. Thanks again!!!

Wow, that is one cute model! I just love the job she's doing posing for the photo!

Hi! I'm back! Well, I had a much better time at Walmart with fabric then our "local" Joann's which had exactly 3 bolts of disney fabric. I saw the new Disney fabric...there was searsucker in Tink, Eyeore and Tiger. Sooo cute but I only had limited finances so I had to leave it behind. :sad2:

So here's is what I did get:
4 yds of Winnie and friends and 2 yds of coordinating stripes and a cool Daisy Kingdom pattern. I also got 2yds each of three searsucker spring fabric and another Daisy Kingdom pattern.

IMGP5071.jpg

I have become a Daisy Kingdom nut....I really want their fabric but I bet its at least $8 or $9 a yard huh? It has such cute borders. Well I will try out these new patterns and give you all a review of them. Has anyone else used them yet?

My DD9 picked out some sheer silver star tulle and purple sparkle fabric with a neat texture/weight to it and a skirt pattern.

IMGP5074.jpg

Then I picked up some odds and ends....lining fabric, thread, bias tape and elastic. The grand total was $90. YIKES!! However it will become 4 dresses and a skirt. I looked in the stores and you couldnt get a Easter dress under $19. So hopefully I saved money???? In any case, I will post the finished outfits as soon as I am done.

i went to Hobby Lobby last night with my ENABLER  Wendy(UtahMama ) and bought some adorable fabric and some more patterns.(spent way to much But DH was okay with it):rolleyes1
i am very excited to make those outfits .
.

YOU GUYS! You HAVE to tell me the next time you go to HOBBY LOBBY! You are LITERALLY right in my backyard! HELLLLLEEEEWWWWW!!!!

Well, I could drive across the valley for a Hobby Lobby DIS meet!

Yes, that is my "practice" boutique headband. I got a bunch more flowers today and made some hair clips. So my friends at church think I should make underdresses for the boutique :scared1: actually they are easy and cost effective, I just don't know if I'll ever have time to get it all done!!!!!

I'm pretty much finished w/the boutique outfits, so, if you want, I can make some of the underdresses...lemme know! I've pretty much got the whole peasant top down...

So, this is Saylor in her princess sheets...:lmao: just cracks me up...never in a million did I think I'd be dressing my child up in BEDSHEETS! I'm feeling kind of Gone With the Wind-ish....

Wow....that is sooooooooooooo neat. I love how you used the fabric to make the flag! I hear :wizard: calling your name! ;) And about the nice warm sunny weather....it was just like that here too....about a balmy 32 degrees with slight 50 mph breeze whipping thru :rolleyes1

Just got back from the world and wanted to share a few pictures. The boys got a ton of attention in their outfits!

Opps I quoted the wrong thing. I meant to quote Jammy too and say that I love Lily's white frock under that adorable green jumper and of course Seth's new haircut looks handsome! :flower3:

I think :wizard: is calling my name. I wasn't planning too with this one but it turned out cute. I might this week. I just worry it is too early before july for it!
as you said you guys have super cold weather still!

Lori

Ok this is the dress that I have decided on for the PPP. I am going to get dressed go to WM, buy this pattern and then to Hancock's to find the fabric. Any suggestions on what to look for. I'm thinking pink.
simplicity8953.jpg

I have this pattern to make dd4 a Cinderella dress. I'm going to do a trial run of it for her best friend's birthday present sometime within the next month. I just love the pattern. I've heard it's a lot of work though, probably because of all the gathering.

I think it will be beautiful no matter what fabric you pick out.

OK! It'a a date ;) Heyyyy, YOU are a Utah(mama)n too :teacher:

Does the green dress WITH white under dress with DOUBLE ruffle, and matchy head band come in size 4/5 by any chance (at the boo-teek) :confused3 for rediculously cheap? :rotfl2:

And a big thank you again to Teresa and who ever is keeping up with this thread and filing pics away.....THANK YOU!!!!!! :

Heather and I try to keep up the Photobucket account. You are very welcome!

Okay, and you DIDN'T call me to tell me about these great deals? Not even an e-mail??? :snooty: Maybe I can talk Henry into going to Sears today....That's a lot easier than talking him into going anywhere else (with the tools and all). I also want to go to Home Depot for some Mickey Heads (for a countdown calendar)- woo-hoo! Would you take a look at that ticker???

Since they changed the dates, it's more like Winter ahead and Winter back. :confused3 Seems appropriate since this Winter seems like it's NEVER GOING TO END!!! We got more snow last night- UGH!!!!!

Sorry, it was late when I got home, I figured you would be sleeping. I was so excited to actually buy ME something for once! And, it was in a good size too! :thumbsup2 I'm out of the double digits!!!!

It was done with an embroidery machine. I used a coloring book page to digitize Cinderella and the customer bought the other designs on :wizard:

Here's a Hannah Montana set I did for a little girl at church. I digitzed the logo to match the fabric.

That looks so cute!!!!!

Edie broke one of her top front teeth yesterday. I don't know how or when, I just noticed it yesterday afternoon... one of them is missing a big chunk. Has anyone else's baby every broken a tooth? If so, was the dentist able to do anything about it? It doesn't seem to hurt her, and it's just a primary tooth. I know it will eventually fall out, but probably not until she is 6 or 7, and she's only 18 months right now. I would hate for her to look like a hillbilly in all of her pictures for the next 5 years!:scared:
When Heather was about 1 1/2 or 2, she fell and broke her tooth off on our coffee table. (She had a blanket over her head and was trying to scare us). It got abscesed, and was pretty nasty. They had to pull it out I believe. I thought she looked ADORABLE without her front tooth NOT like a hillbilly! :snooty:

Anyway, here are couple pictures of him with his missing front tooth....

th_IMG_3837p.jpg

We have gotten used to the toothless grin, but we are always asked how he lost that front tooth.
He's so cute!

That is a beautiful dress i made that for DD for Ariel's Grotto when we went to disneyland

Jayeden looks gorgeous!!! I just love that dress!

Did your dear sweet MIL take that picture?? :rotfl2:
I was a pediatric dental assistant for 12 years. Please do take the baby to a dentist specializing in kids just in case. That tooth contains a nerve and if it has been bruised or damaged at all, it could cause an infection. Oral infections are not good...it goes into the blood stream and can cause infections elsewhere, like the heart. Plus a chipped primary tooth can damage the permanent tooth underneath which isn't fully formed yet.

If the tooth's nerve was damaged, she'll have to have a pulpotomy (like a root canal) and then a cap or crown on top of that for strength.

It may be "nothing" too. Just for peace of mind take her in. The reason I say preferably a pediatric dentist is that they're better equipped for kids and are generally a lot more patient. Ususually the chairs are kid sized and theres lots of diversion tactics and distractions like TV's on the ceiling and hand puppets etc..

Wow, you are one multi talented lady!!! That is really scary about the infections. I will be turning into a hick hillbilly tomorrow, I'm having three teeth pulled due to infections. Then, bridges put on in a few weeks. :(
Okay, here is the white "underdress" I made Lily (and had to add a second ruffle to)She does have her white bloomers on underneath so it looks like even more ruffles going on

Oh wow, photobucket has new editing abilities :yay: way cool! Took me a while to figure out how to resize! It is being so much more cooperative and obedient now!

I finally got Easter dresses done. Of the girls had to match, but they decided Mommy needed to match too. I finally settled for making myself a skirt that is similar to their dresses. I love this dress pattern, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone who's just starting out. Some of the contruction is a little odd.

Thanks for all of the compliments. I wish I could take credit for the outfits, but I don't have an inch of talent for sewing. LOL!!! The peter pan outfits were handpainted by my aunt and the others I had someone on the site that shall not be named. LOL!!!!

I will have to do a trip report. I have never done one, so I am kinda clueless. I'll go read some of the others. LOL!!
