Aww! I think he looks cute with his toothless grin! I would almost prefer that Edie had lost her whole tooth, I think it looks much better than leaving the broken one in there. I guess I'll call the dentist tomorrow and see if there's anything that can be done. You would think they could just patch it with an amalgam like they use for fillings... Oh well. We'll see. Thanks for the reassurance!

I am so sorry about Edie's tooth. My friend's dd broke part of her front tooth and her dentist just smooth it out, and left it as is. My ds lost one of his front tooth completely (the whole tooth and root came out) when he was 16 months old, and we were given the option of putting in a fake tooth (the fake tooth would be on a wire wrapped around the two molars, so it could only be done once he had his molars in anyways). He said it is not medically necessary, so we chose to just leave it and he just have a big gap on the front.
Anyway, here are couple pictures of him with his missing front tooth....

We have gotten used to the toothless grin, but we are always asked how he lost that front tooth.
