Those appliques are gorgeous!! Do you have an embroidery machine or did you hand piece them?!

Love seeing pics of Tessa! And I love that dress! Someday I'm going to try some of that cool dangly action on a dress. :worship:
Thank you!! The dangly stuff was really easy. I just put some fusible interfacing on each piece of fabric, put heat 'n bond on top of that, put the end of the ribbon in between the layers, and ironed it together. Then, I sewed around the outside with a zig-zag stitch (sewing the ribbons in place at the same time), just like an applique. Then, I just sewed the other ends of the ribbons underneath the ruffle.

I had a dream about you last night! How weird is that? Both of our families were staying somewhere on the beach (which is weird because I don't really like the beach). We were putting sunscreen on the kids and Tessa ruffled Luke's hair and said that she likes his blonde hair. We both laughed and that's all I remember. Kinda sick that the Dis is invading my dreams! :rotfl:

Thanks guys! Sounds REALLY easy, i kinda feel dumb for asking :confused3 I am going to try to get the house and laundry done quickly tomorrow so i can try one!
You should never feel dumb for asking a question! I didn't know how to sew anything until I found this thread and started asking questions (I mostly asked my sister at first).

OK, so I was going to make Ella another apron style top tonight, but I just thought of a possible predicament. I think the ties may interfere with going potty (as in possibly dangle down into the potty - ack!) Do you all think these types of tops would look OK with shorter ties?
I think it would look cute with a button (don't know if that would work with the pattern or not), too.

I am so excited! I went to Sears today and got SO much stuff for $40!!!!!! I got myself a 3 piece suit, 3 sweaters, 4 skirts, 2 tops, 2 Disney sweatshirts and I got Arminda 1 Disney sweatshirt, 1 top and 1 sweater jacket. I also bought two women's skirts that I am planning on remaking into dresses for the girls. I NEVER get stuff for myself, so I was REALLY happy!!! The one suit I bought was origianlly $80!!!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

Then, I spent $25 for 7 gallons of gas!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Okay, and you DIDN'T call me to tell me about these great deals? Not even an e-mail??? :snooty: Maybe I can talk Henry into going to Sears today....That's a lot easier than talking him into going anywhere else (with the tools and all). I also want to go to Home Depot for some Mickey Heads (for a countdown calendar)- woo-hoo! Would you take a look at that ticker???

While I'm remembering, only because they just did a reminder on the 11 pm news, don't forget to move your clock forward an hour tonight, it's time to spring ahead... I almost forgot...
Since they changed the dates, it's more like Winter ahead and Winter back. :confused3 Seems appropriate since this Winter seems like it's NEVER GOING TO END!!! We got more snow last night- UGH!!!!!

I really love the princess pattern from Simplicity too! Wow! I think its perfect for ppp. Do you have any fabric in mind?
I haven't thought of any fabric yet. I just found out late last night about the PPP and was so excited that I started looking for dresses for DD. The really bad thing is that I can't ask DD for opinion because I want the dress and the party to be a surprise.

AMEN! We got more snow, too. I am so ready for spring, if it ever gets here!!!!!!!!!!!

Oooh, lucky you! Good job on the bargains! DH and I drove past Sears last night. He wanted to go in, I did not. Looks like I made a mistake!:rotfl:

ooh that was fast! Glad Luke  it!! hehe its always nice to have something for the boys. Let's hear it for the boys!! Lets hear it for my man.... OOoh was I singing out loud?!?! hahaha I have been doing that all day at work. Every time someone says something I bust out in song. My co workers (thank goodness they know I am a big dork) were looking at me crazy when we were in the store. Yes , I said store and I busted out in song. haha

I bust out into song all the time. Too bad I'm a terrible singer. Sometimes my kids tell me to please stop :scared1:

for those who have been to the PPP do you think that this is too much??
simplicity4764.jpg

TOO MUCH??? You are asking US if something is TOO MUCH??? A princess something no less??? You should know better! I have been to the PPP and it will be gorgeous and perfect!

Everyone's stuff is so cute! Too much to quote! I have a few things to show, but have no batteries for my camera!:scared1: haha! I can't find any of the friends fabric, either. I don't know what I am going to make for epcot. IDK, it may just be mickey themed, and not epcot themed.

I do wish some new disney fabric would come out. I would like to see something different in the store. Well, I hope everyone remembers me, my whole family except for me has the stomach flu, and I need your prayers that I won't get it!

*prayers* and do something Nemo for Epcot! I made Lily a nemo jumper and Mickey head t-shirts for the big kids with Nemo fabric.

Thanks for the directions! Can't wait to try it. Funny about your dream! It is hard NOT to ruffle Luke's hair  I like the beach, so maybe we talked you into it.:confused3 Sounds like a good idea anyway! I'm ready for some warmth. Our snow is mostly melted but it is still pretty cold.

Hey, I just tried to find my first post on the original Disboutique thread and it seems that the first thread that was re-posted is really screwed up. On page 200 or so, it skips from June of 2007 to January of 2008. I think my first post must have been in July of 2007, or so. But, now I will never know. Boo-hoo!!
Here's a link to the spot where it skips ahead:

It was done with an embroidery machine. I used a coloring book page to digitize Cinderella and the customer bought the other designs on :wizard:

Here's a Hannah Montana set I did for a little girl at church. I digitzed the logo to match the fabric.

Allright, here is the number 2 Disney outfit. I'll try and post more tomorrow. This one was really easy... I just cut Aurora from a pillowcase and appliqued her to the tank, then made a super twirly skirt to match. The skirt has a very full eyelet petticoat attached underneath.

Beautiful outfit and images :)

LOGANHOGAN, I liked your three matching outfit sets too, but messed up the quoting :)

Ok this is the dress that I have decided on for the PPP. I am going to get dressed go to WM, buy this pattern and then to Hancock's to find the fabric. Any suggestions on what to look for. I'm thinking pink.

This set is adorable!! Where is the skirt fabric from? I love it.

Elisa - I like your Aurora set even more with the tulle skirt! Good luck on the auction.

Thanks to everyone that commented on my purple Aurora outfit! I may just let her wear it again today!:cutie:

I bought the skirt fabric on clearance at Hobby Lobby a while back. It has ribbons, embroidery, and ruched fabric all over it. It was perfect for this skirt!

I haven't commented on it, but I do think that it is very cute and you should let her wear today.

So cute!! Did you make the petti? I love it! :) Your baby is a doll too!

Yes, the petticoat is actually just a second layer of the skirt. Both layers are attached to the yoke. I probably should have made it a separate petticoat altogether so that she could wear it with other outfits, but oh well. I guess I could always make another one! ;)

Edie broke one of her top front teeth yesterday. I don't know how or when, I just noticed it yesterday afternoon... one of them is missing a big chunk. Has anyone else's baby every broken a tooth? If so, was the dentist able to do anything about it? It doesn't seem to hurt her, and it's just a primary tooth. I know it will eventually fall out, but probably not until she is 6 or 7, and she's only 18 months right now. I would hate for her to look like a hillbilly in all of her pictures for the next 5 years!:scared:

I bought the machine used, for a really good price. Thank God my mother had the software for the computer that works with it. That's how you create the appliques/etc. The machine just sews what you tell it. But it is easier than hand doing applique.

I am so sorry about Edie's tooth. My friend's dd broke part of her front tooth and her dentist just smooth it out, and left it as is. My ds lost one of his front tooth completely (the whole tooth and root came out) when he was 16 months old, and we were given the option of putting in a fake tooth (the fake tooth would be on a wire wrapped around the two molars, so it could only be done once he had his molars in anyways). He said it is not medically necessary, so we chose to just leave it and he just have a big gap on the front.

Anyway, here are couple pictures of him with his missing front tooth....

We have gotten used to the toothless grin, but we are always asked how he lost that front tooth.
