We got our new washer and dryer delivered today. :cool1: I am so happy. One week without a washer and dryer is just horrible. Our washer started flooding the outside room where it was so we just decided to buy a new set.

These 3 are cousins and they wanted matching sets.

Been a while since I have actually posted, so I'll jump back in with the name story.

First off my father wanted to name me Mayapple! No idea where that came from, thankfully my mother said no and Jessica it is. I was supposed to be Joel and they thought I was a boy for the longest time.

As for Dallas, I wanted a uniqe name but not too different. I really liked places (cities or states) for names so started looking there. I had Jackson (which DH said NO way!), Dakota (people thought was too girly, Dakota Fanning had more or less hit it big around then but never even put the two together when I wanted to name him that), Montana (people thought to far out) and then there was Houston and Austin but WAY too common. Oh, Cleveland and Grant too, Grant conflicts with our last name so DH vetoed and he didn't like Cleveland either, which I am not sure if I ever did enough to name a child it. So I decided one day that Dallas was perfect. At the time I hadn't known any. While in labor and the week before I heard of 3 different ones, 2 being girls and the other an african american rap artist, I started to doubt myself! But stuck with it. DH also loves the Dallas Cowboys so fit well, but had nothing to do with the name. His middle name is Edmundson, after my DH's mother, that was a family name. I figured if he hated his name he could go with Edmund.

Had he been born on christmas though (was born 2 days after) I would have named him Nicholas Parker, I loved the way it sounded together, and loved the movie the Parent Trap (still do, both versions) but that was actually Dennis Quaid's name in the movie. Nicholas, christmas, St Nick.

Although last year Hancock had a red with kids faces and flags and then a white coordinate with "words" on it, this year Joann's has a light blue version of the fabrics that is really cute. They have it in the novelty prints section and through today they have a Coupon Commotion sale going on where they have coupons for 40% off. So try at you local Joann's also they can order it for you and it would come in on the next store shipment or 2. Let me know if you will need the SKU numbers for them and I'll look for my receipt from a few weeks ago...Nana

I just bought some on :wizard: and some in JoAnn's...it's my favorite...

I have some! Oops....meant to PM you!

Thank you for the replies. I had looked on :wizard:, but the only auctions I saw had ended already. I PM'd you back Luv2DressEmUp.

Yes, huge piles of anything tend to freak them out. Mine always says do you really need all that scrapbooking paper? The answer is yes, of course!

We won't discuss all the Disney scrapbook stuff I bought on the previous two trips that I still need to use. :rolleyes1

I know I showed this outfit before but it wasn't finished. It is now...and I found out, that the skirt can be worn two ways! I love how it came out. Ireland loves it too.

I'm working on another Aurora as we speak...I'm almost finished. It's kind of hard to stay motivated this week. It's my spring break from school, and I have my state board exam on Wednesday and I should be studying like crazy, but can't seem to do that either...:confused3

OK vent over. haha We did get a Hannah Montana Wig and Lily doll. so this is what The Peach would look like with straight hair. haha

Gorgeous! I love the tulle side of the skirt!

I just have a few minutes, so I haven't caught up yet. But, I just wanted to show you guys what I was working on yesterday. I've had this fabric for a while and I love it so much that I wanted to make something really cute. I used CarlaC's new pattern and embellished it a bit. I just love it! I put a snap on the back of he little jewel flower on Hello Kitty's head, so I can snap it off for the wash.

Here's my pitiful attempt at artsy-fartsy photography:

My cutie-pie:-------------------------------Close-up of the dangly things. Tessa wanted a purse and a heart, and butterflies. So this is what I did:

I put the Mary Poppins dress under it to see how it would look. So, if you see any red bows, that's why!:

Now I'm off to my mom's to eat (core) pizza with Teresa and everyone!
I gained 1/2 pound this week

Love seeing pics of Tessa! And I love that dress! Someday I'm going to try some of that cool dangly action on a dress. :worship: Lily would love it. I just finished a white peasant under dress to go under Lily's jumpers since it will NEVER be warm enough to wear them as sundresses. (well, maybe eventually, but it feels like never right now) I made it too short so I had to add a second ruffle. Then I tried it on her and realized I should've just made a new, longer ruffle. Oh well, it's really cute all by itself. I'll have her wear it to church tomorrow and get some pics of her in it.

The buttons actually took me less time than elastic straps. Once I got my machine manual out and read it, I found they are very easy!

If my machine did automatic button holes I wouldn't mind either. Sometimes I can borrow a machine, but if I'm only doing 2 holes, it just doesn't seem worth it so I have to do it myself.

I love how that look! I have been working on the Sleeping Beauty dress for my dd to wear to the My Disney Girl Princess Tea Party in June and it has been quite frustrating....so I am going to take a break from it and work on something else - something simpler like a pair of shorts for my ds!! I can't wait to see your other Aurora outfit!

One of my high school friends' older brother was named Dallas Beaumont.

Speaking of cameras, I just noticed something cool!

In the photobucket site, click on one of the pictures. It will tell you what kind of camera it was taken with down at the bottom. It says that the following people took pictures with these types of cameras:

Tom: FUJIFILM FinePix S5700 S700
Stephres: Canon PowerShot SD850 IS
Ediebeedieboutique: FUJIFILM FinePix S3100

Is it right? I'd never noticed that before!

Yep, it's right about me! I use a Fujifilm FinePix S3100 and LOTS of Photoshop!! :goodvibes

Wow! There have been some really fun things on lately. I haven't been on much because I have really been trying to get some sewing done. I can't seem to manage both for some reason.

Keep up the good work ladies. You are terrific for inspiration!
