Although, DS is not so little anymore! His 5th birthday was today! And let me tell you, he is WAY excited to be a "whole hand" as he says!
How cute is that? Post the cake!!!!

The girls and I went to the "My Little Pony, Live On Stage, World's Biggest Tea Party" yesterday.
I am soo confused. How in the world does a pony pick up a tea cup?!?!?! :confused3

I spent the weekend working on some sewing that I just wanted to get done. I made my 5 y/o DS a cars outfit (because he loves the cars characters), & I made my DD a dress & me a top. I want to do so much more!

I haven't put the buttons on the shirt yet, but I am looking for just the right ones.

DD is only 9 months old, so the face had to be cut down alot.
DSC_0045.jpg

I just really like this fabric. This doesn't really look like a top, but it is.
DSC_0049.jpg

I didn't have time to get the model in the pictures.
Those are so cute and I agree with you - that fabric is great! Good job on cutting tink down for your little one.

You got a lot done this weekend! The cars shirt looks great, I know they are a lot harder than they look, buttons and collars! I love the Tink jumper: that blue really makes her eyes pop and I love that little flowered fabric you made your shirt from too. I can't wait to see them modeled!

Thanks to all for the kind words on the costumes I made my girls last fall. I learned to sew when I was a teenager and am pretty good at following a pattern. But, I am a little lost without a pattern. I am amazed at the skill on this board. You are truly designers. I am really challenged when it comes to mixing fabrics and designing an outfit. So, I will be doing a lot of copying (hope you take it as a sincere form of flattery!) Below are photos of a Mickey dress I just finished.

I have also made a few other things, but don't have photos yet.

I love the gaucho pants and will have to try those as well!

That is so cute. I want to make DD a dress with those same two fabrics. First I have to finish the gazillion other projects that I have to do.

That's really pretty. I guess I have a thing for that dot fabric, I'm going to have to find some of it.

Those gauchos are so cool! That's the same t-shirt I used for the Ariel ribbon shirt. I thought is was so pretty I bought one for Megan too. I love the detail on the sleeves.

OK it worked! Ignore his messy face and hair. A few more shots

This is very cute! I love the pattern. I will have to keep this in mind also. I am like you, I am using everyone else's ideas as a pattern for myself. I am awful at matching different fabrics. :confused3

Got these fabics on clearance at Waldamort

50 cents a yard, I bought what they had left 4, and 5 yards

Welcome back!! I love all your outfits but especially Katie in those boots!! Everyone looks great in their Ohio state garb! I love the cake too, you did a fantastic job with it. Katie looks pretty proud of it too.

How cute are they??? Looks like a fun time was had by all. :thumbsup2

You were busy this weekend! I really like that fabric too and the blue makes Tink's eyes pop right out.

I am soo confused. How in the world does a pony pick up a tea cup?!?!?! :confused3

So pretty....your DD and the dress! :lovestruc

I got these Easter fabrics. They go well together IRL, but they weren't on sale. I dig the Peanuts. I wish they would do Halloween fabric of the "Great Pumpkin" or them Trick or Treating!!

variouspictures048.jpg

variouspictures047.jpg

also got this for 2 bucks. It's flannel. It will be a nightgown. It's the only yard I actually know what I'm going to do with:)

Ok I totally have to CASE or CAB rather this. What pattern is this if you dont mind me asking. My dd7 would totally wear this. We just bought this fabric yesterday! I had no clue what to do for it.

It is McCalls 5574. My DD will be 7 this month and she is always wanting me to make her things, but she doesn't like the cutesie princess type things I make for her younger sister. But she loved this and I'm sure will wear it alot. She wants me to make her another one with the purple Tink fabric.

I'm sorry, I don't think Megan will be seeing these pictures or she will be eternally hounding me to go. I didn't even know there was a My Little Pony show. The girls look great in their customs (of course!) and look like they had a blast. I love the ribbons going down the skirts. Pinkie Pie is Megan's favorite too. :)

Lyida has been bugging me to take her to this show since she saw a preview of it online about a year ago? So, when I saw it was coming nearby, I knew we had to go. It was in Kissimmee, right before it came here, you should have drove on over there! ;)

Great job on the outfits!!! I am loving that Tink! Great use of fabrics!! The Cars one is so cute too!

I bought some Tigger striped fabric the other day and I'm trying to talk Corey into letting me make him a shirt with it! He isn't convinced yet though. I was thinking a shirt like Glorib made, with just the accent strips at the side. Or, I might just use it for a skirt for the girls.

I am soo confused. How in the world does a pony pick up a tea cup?!?!?! :confused3
You are a funny one!!! :rotfl2:

Oh thank you! I'm going to go get this pattern right now before I forget. This is definitely something my dd would wear.

And just 2 more pics so that you don't think my little boys are dirty and messy all the time-

Ohh I love what you did with that toy story fabric!! How cool is that!!! Oh and your kids are so cute as well. Have you made any more Disney outfits for Nicholas. We are hoping to talk our little guy to WDW in Dec and he will be just one year old. Need to think of some things for him!!

Aww that is super-de-dooper cute!!!

I made this using simplicity 3937 (it's actually a baby bag pattern but it really is just a simple tote with interior and exterior pockets). It was a simple project.
brothers5515.jpg

Hey, I think that turned out wonderfully!!!

Here is the shirt I made for them to wear at Ohana's
HPIM1395.jpg

I have to make Caity's shirt, but it is going to be the same.

What a cute shirt!!!!

I had a scare tonight....Ireland woke up from her afternoon nap SCREAMING!!! All of a sudden her ear was hurting her. She just held her head and screamed and screamed. She wouldn't let me look in it. She was fine right before her nap and even went in the pool. She didn't get her head wet, so I knew it couldn't be just water in her ear. Ireland is NOT a cryer. Last year, she broke her toe and walked around Epcot all day, and at night, she finally told me that her toe hurt...she doesn't usually cry when she's in pain, she rides it out. I knew I had to take her to the doctor, but where to go on a Sunday night at 5PM....ick...the ER!! So off we went, luckily a doctor that I'm friends with was there and we were in and out in no time...he got her a big syringe of something...and within 2 minutes...it was Goodnight Ireland. She stopped screaming and fell asleep. I had to carry her 45 pound body out to the car...it wasn't pretty..LOL. Anyhow, Miss Ireland is sporting her very first ear infection..she's in bed and I have a feeling that she won't be up until the morning... Wish me luck..I have to keep her home until at least Wednesday...so much for doing any more sewing...
By the way, I decided to do Wendy as the other panel on the skirt, and she's almost finished!

Aww, I hope Ireland feels better very soon! Our DD had ear infection after ear infection as a baby. She had to get tubes in her ears and then all was good!!! I know they just feel awful when they have an ear infection. I really hope she starts to feel better soon!!

Picture3108096.jpg

This is one of the dresses I made Katie for Valentines day. The skirt would have been fuller but my serger ate part of it:) I had to post this one of her wild hair and her red boots. She LOVES these red boots. She puts them on and says "I'm a cow boy"! I love that girl :lovestruc I will also add she almost always wants to stand on the fire place for her pics. It's her stage.

Picture3108102.jpg

This is Miss Katie in her Buckeye tutu and the bows I made her. She as saying cheese in the picture. She was a hit at the zoo in this.

Picture3108135.jpg

These are my other kids :) I really do have 4 even though I usually only post Katie. The older kids just will not wear customs :confused3 Sorry they are not all looking in the same direction. Someone yelled O-H as they walked by and as all Buckeye fans know you must yell I-O immediately even if mom is taking a picture. This was the day of the national championship game.

Picture3108130.jpg

This is a dress I made for the daughter of my cousin. The bear dress I cheated on, since the overalls already had the cute appliqué. The pooh dress is for Katie since I love pooh. She has no clue who he is. I can not get that girl to watch television. She is far to busy :)

Love everyone's new stuff! I need to get my behind in gear, I don't have much sewing time left before my trip. I was just too lazy this weekend!

Flea, I am too jealous of the new sewing table. I want one!!!

Just thought I would share the Cat-in-the-Hat outfit that I made for my little one. You can't really see all of them in the picture but the twirl skirt has pictures of the Cat, the little boy and girl and the goldfish in the bowl. Kinda funky looking but we love funky here...hahaha.

TOM - thanks for the answer about the Anna dress. I'm glad to know what the difference is between it and the Butterick pattern. I think I may take the Butterick and try to modify it to make it like the Anna. I think it's doable.

Didn't glorib alter the Butterick pattern for her little girl? It looked similar to the Anna pattern. Glorib - any hints or tips on the alterations you made to the pattern?

I think this dress is great! It is perfect for an older girl and it is hard to find those patterns good for everyone! Can't wait to see what you have next!

Seriously had the SAME thing happen to ME when I was five...was totally fine...frolicked in the pool, ran around with my sisters, climbed some trees...went down for a little nap and woke up screaming my head off! I remember it very clearly. It was wretched. Ear pain like that is just the worst of the worst. I remember praying that God would make the pain go to my leg or my foot anywhere but my ear! It's gotta be bad when a five year old is begging for the pain not to leave...just to go to another part of her body!!!

SO...I feel for Miss Ireland!!! I hope she'll feel better in the morning.

Thanks too for the Pirate Cruise advice!!! I was thinking that it may need to be something that can get dirty. I may just send them both in jean shorts, add some skull and cross bones patches, some mickey head pirate tees and call it done!!

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes for Ireland's ear!!!

Ireland is feeling better! She woke up around midnight, crying that her ear hurt her again, I quickly gave her some tylenol with codeine, and she fell back asleep. Around 2 am, I heard the whine at my door...Mommmmyyyyy can I sleep with yooooouuuuu? Of course I had to let her. Needless to say, I didn't get up until around 8 am :scared1:
I did manage to get Wendy done this morning, and am assembling the outfit today. After I do the laundry, clean out my sewing cabinet, do the morning dishes, fix lunch, take a shower, rearrange my bedroom (which is what I'm doing right now) and a million other things. Oh yeah, I see that my little trouble maker, (Alexis) decided to write on my Disney cruise bank...with a marker... so she's sitting in the corner looking pathetic at the moment...
This is my day so far...how's everyone elses?
