OMG I adore that! How cute is that! Georgia was looking at it and says "Mommy, are you going to dust off that sewing machine, you haven't made anything me since I turned six!"
Its funny she says that about everything now. You know because turning six was sooo three weeks ago! hahaha kids! they are great aren't they?
Lydia did that when she turned 5 in December! "I haven't been to Chuck E Cheese since I was 5!" that was the day after her birthday. Yep, they are great!!!
And just cuz' it was funny- Ds trying to hold dn back- he want to GO
Did you use the print on fabric we were talking about? They turned out great!
I applaud you for doing so well on core. I was in WW for 18 mos or so and I didn't make one week on core

Some day I'm going to find it in me to get back there, because I really love WW.
What really made me finally decide to do it is when my leader mentioned that it is a healthier way to eat, since it really encourages you to eat more veggies and fruits. I wanted to set a good example for my kids. I didn't want them to just see me trying to lose weight, I wanted to set a healthy eating style. And, I think it's working, the kids are eating better!
And this because I think she is so pretty!
You won't get any arguments here! She is pretty!!!
So I was planning on something Cinderella for dd tonight, but instead I decided that it would be fun to make a matching doll outfit....
Dd's dress and the doll's dress:
Yeah..you must think I am crazy..sewing for dolls that dd doesn't even have yet. LOL
That is so cute!!! Nope, we don't think you are crazy!!!
I have to ask.... Where is everyone getting the Minnie Dot Fabric? I was in Hancock's today and I asked about special ordering it and they said that it had been discontinued and that they didn't even have any left over in the warehouse that I could buy.
Like Wendy said, it usually comes out with the Halloween fabric at
Walmart. Some people bought entire bolts of it! And we....uh, I mean, THEY, are still unsure they have enough!
I bought some at Hancock's last year around June too, so keep checking online to see if they get anymore in. They call it, appropriately enough, "Minnie Dot". I think they said they discontinued it last year, but they did get more.
So are you saying you two are NOTHING like your brother??
He just sometimes has an alternative perspective on things! It makes life interesting.

Like Heather said though, I think we are actually all quite similar! He and Corey are a lot alike, so I kind of get a kick out of him!
He once explained a 2 hour movie (Aliens I think) to me for over 4 hours. Corey has the same "skill".
(You were probably wondering when I was going to bring that movie thing up, weren't you Heather!)
There have been some great outfits lately.
Ok so I have not been sewing these past few days because I have been working on this. Ds5 said he wanted a Splash Mountain cake so I worked on it around the clock. His party is tomorrow and he has not seen it yet. We kept it hidden in the house til he wakes up.
That is FANTASTIC!!!! Corey, my 15 1/2 (he just loves it when I add that half on for him!

) year old, says, "That is the COOLEST cake I've ever seen!" He then went into a long detailed explanation about how he thought you did it..... I love that kid.
Now I need to just figure out where my embroidery scissor ended up and I'm all set to get back to work on the cross-stitch.
!!!!!!!!!MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT IN BETWEEN YOUR COUCH CUSHIONS!!!!!!!
That is darling!!! I have found that the AG patterns will usually fit Build-A-Bears, too! Tessa has an AG-ish doll, but she prefers stuffed animals. Her mommy was the same way as a kid.
You should have seen her collection!!! It was like a zoo in our bedroom! I loved the dolls myself though. David (our older brother) use to play with them with me.
Yes I did say that, and I only have 7 more outfits to make!

Sugarbees is making some too, so it is a joint effort. We are doing a whole matchy "line" with the tutti frutti fabrics and will be doing some doll clothes and accessories to match also.
That is so cool!!!! I'm so proud of you guys!
Here's the Clarice and Chip shirts I made for Tessa and Sawyer. I can't remember who suggested putting Clarice on there- but thank you!!!
Modeling is all about the hands

My two goofballs:
Love it love it love it!!!!! Do I have the cutest nieces and nephew in the world or what???!!!??? And one TALENTED little sister!!!! You Go Heather!!!!
How are you feeling today??
Does anyone have any suggestions on a dress to try for a 1st timer? It is not the first time I have made any outfits, but nothing like any on here. I want to go get something for DD (9 months) to make for her for easter. I don't know if I should do one of the little peasant shirts with pants or one of the twirly dresses. I really like the dresses!
Any help would be appreciated!
A peasant dress is easy and it's twirly too! I made the Minnie dress from a peasant pattern. I made the skirt three times the width of the top so it would be extra twirly! (Which reminds me, I need to get a picture of the last one I made)
I DID IT!!! ok now that you are all looking at me! Look what I finally was able to do this morning!
Its only dolly pants, But hey I am super proud of my first pair of pants. it was super easy! Thanks ladies for the help and pictures. This pattern was super easy. I just have to find some that are like this for Georgia. hahahah
Those are so cute!! I just love that fabric. I was never able to find any.
These turned out great Heather! I am still askeered to piece together an appliqué, but I want to. Yours always look great. I recognize the famous brown sparkly fabric!

And BTW, Luke is quite fond of Chip and Dale!
He has such a jump on any other boy Tessa might be interested in! You know, the ENTIRE family must approve of any boy Tessa dates! Luke is all set!
I actually told our 13 year old niece that a month or so ago. She looked a little worried actually! But, for her, it is of the utmost importance that we approve, I don't trust her judgment!
