Okay, another newbie here. I have been lurking for a while seeing all the beautiful things everyone makes. I am mom to 3 grown DD's and have 5 DGD, with number 6 on the way! I have sewn since I was in elementary school. We live near disneyland, so we go there quite often!!

Anyways, a couple of questions. How do I PM? I love that outfit from Tom! Also, Shannon, I have a link for some fabric you are looking for from but don't know how to get it to you?

I think that you have to have more of a post count before you can PM.

Ok I finally finished DD's Peep's Easter Dress.

I used one of my vintage patterns for this one. I think it turned out really great.

Okay Buzz Lightyear fans here it is - the green Buzz Lightyear petal skirt!!

Sorry the pictures are so big. It's a pretty full skirt and it was fun to make because I was able to pull some old blue fabric I had to use under the petals. I think I have to redo the tulle because it's not as dramatic as dd5 wants it to be.

Well one project down...now I'm off to the blue butterfly shorts.

Thanks! It's the first time I made CarlaC's peasant pattern and I really love it! After I made the Cinderella's dress, I was thinking that it could work really well for Snow White as well.

Hey guys! WOW have I missed alot! I have been spending some time with my family and trying to keep my house clean, so computer time has been non existent(sp?). I have been working on some things, but not much. I wanted to post a pic of my DD4 wearing the shirt that 2cutekidz made for her, so here it is:

These are the new outfits for Brianna and Spencer that I made today. I havent decided what (if anything) I am going to put on the tee shirt. I think Dumbo Flying. I'll probably let him choose from a selected few.

They're at school, so no modeling right now.

I haven't hemmed the sleeves yet, because the princess is very picky about her sleeves, so I am waiting until she gets home and tries it on. I just hope she likes it. She's been really picky lately only wanting "princess" stuff....

I'm almost positive it was. I am not at home right now but when I get home I will take a picture and post it so you can check. Also, I'll run over there. These 2 bolts have been there for weeks and I was just there on Monday. Unless someone came in and ordered a ton I cant believe its all gone. I was shocked they had some minnie dot fabric that is why I remember. I have 2 yards if you cannot find it anywhere else but I'm going to check myself first! I wont be able to get there until after I drop Morgan off at ballet. I'll PM you what I find out.

I lost 1.5 pounds this week, for a total of 8 lbs!!!

On a side note I just found out I am REALLY not going to be around much anymore. I am getting a 10 day old baby most likely on Friday she is under 4 lbs so a lot of my time. I am so excited though. There is a chance she will stay with us forever. Please say prayers. I get to go find preemie clothes tomorrow!

I love those kitty jumpers and jeans! How CUUUTE! The St Patricks day jumper is cute! Jayden (I know that's not spelled right) and Nora look beautiful, as usual! The Tink outfit is really cute and I love the diva picture! It seems I usually have a few of those whenever I try to get pictures of Sawyer. He does NOT want to be a male model! Love the comfy kitty bed!

I'm new and stumbled across the disboutiquers threads and I'm so excited to find you here. I love to sew and make about 75% of my kids' clothing. Of course I've been planning in my head what to make for them when we hit WDW in April. So far I've only made some capris and a peasant top with a mouse head applique. I've got some vintage(?) mickey knit that I think I'll make DS a curved raglan tee with and then he'll get the standard camp shirt from mouse head fabric. I'll probably made DD a matching shirt from that too. Maybe I'll get some new ideas from you all too!

Enough babbling, off to go admire more stuff.

Second, I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and learn how to shirr, give it to me straight, how tough is it?

It's SUPER easy!!! If you can sew a straight line (or fairly straight line in my case), you can shirr!

Hmmmm...I am acne prone myself and I have not had any trouble. The whole Bare Min selling point is that it is 100% pure, natural minerals. something like "so pure you can sleep in it". If you go to an Ulta or Sephora, they will do a "Makeover" on you to try colors. Wear it for the afternoon and see how your skin does before you commit

I bf my two kiddos with all the comments and looks from my family and friends- are you STILL nursing that baby- when they were barely a year old- we continued until about 17 mo. with the first and 16 mo. with the second. No cloth diapers- dh had bad experiences with his younger siblings and wouldn't even let us try it. But we loved the baby carrier- they didn't like the sling. So can I be too?!?!?

It must have been hard to have your family and friends looking dissaprovingly on you for breastfeeding! I applaud you for keeping it up! My family was VERY supportive of it, so it made it easy for me.

Love the Prince Charming....I have never seen anything like this before. I would love to have had that for my son! He is 12 now, so not sure this is his 'style' now, lol....but it certainly would have been his favorite when he was younger!

btw, my sister uses the Bare Minerals....and loves it.....she does have acne prone skin and also complains large pores...it looks great on her!

Girls you will be so proud of me!! I made another pair of pants today! These are for my friends baby. They are a Dora house (not so much Disney..I might have to change that! haha) So I found this fabric I was going to make pot holders for Georgia's play kitchen but she said she didn't want Dora anymore. So I was like OOOOH I can make baby pants!

I haven't put the elestic in the waist just yet. I might put lace on the bottom not sure yet. or a ruffle of sorts. in hot pink to match.

They seem so big. but I followed the pattern to a T this time. Oh well. I Just hope that Georgia doesnt see them and want them for her Hannah Bunny from Build a bear.

GAH!!!

Of COURSE the shorts are JUST too small on S....of COURSE!! I missed by a freaking inch. GAH! I need to tear them apart, and remake the shorts. I'll just reattach the pocket to the new shorts.

And the dress sleeves don't fit B too great, and the whole dress only JUST fits, so I'm probably going to have to make it again for her. BUT does that mean she'll take the %$& dress OFF so I can sell it in pristine condition? NOOOOO, Of course NOT.

This was the first time I made a peasant top....maybe I should have made a test run. If she raises her arms too high, the whole dress raises up. She INSISTS it's fine, but it ticks me off. I have no idea what I did wrong, either, since I wasn't working off of a pattern....ip-dip.

4 hours of work, down the tubes.
