p.s. because there was so many I made them small already! Did not want o hog a page! Sorry no customs today!

No, I think you are doing the right thing. I personally view it as the parent's responsibility to supervise their children when the children are playing. If it's in a friend's fenced yard and the friend is watching them than you may not need to be there, but these days it is harder to let your child just wander. I used to play flashlight tag outside with all the neighborhood kids as a child, these days it's harder to feel safe allowing that sort of freedom to a child.

OMG I totally remember flash light tag! We used to live on some land and we played that with about 10 kids from the neighborhood. that was the best. When everyone was like a huge family. I remember the big back yard bbq's and 4th of July parties. It was in the country and it would get really dark to street lamps.

Now days Georgia doesn't even play in the front. It makes me to nervous.

I feel the same way. it is so hard these days to let your kdis play anywhere unsupervised. TOo many crazies around and they just might be your next door neighbor! I remember riding my bike to school for 1st grade. heck no not today you can't do that!

I finally got the Fabric Hound website to work for me and had to show all the pattern that I bought. I can't wait until it comes in. I'm not quite sure what fabric I will use with it.

I also made this for DD today. It is a YCMT pattern. It actually took me 15 minutes to make this.

I love it! and she looks sooo pretty!

I love that it didn't take long at all!

Here is my niece modeling her new outfit

Incredibles3.jpg

That is so darn cute. I Love it. SHe looks adorable. You know you can only do the best, you tried. and if they don't let her wear them then stop. Its hard. But you do such a great job don't let them get ya down.

I hope they love them however. She looks so cute!

First, I wanted to post this picture of Tessa's Build-A-Bear wearing the "Sew Boutique for Dolly and Me Simply Sweet Dress". It matches Tessa's Birthday/Easter Hello Kitty dress.
Tessa took this picture herself!

Second, here is the incredibly cute daughter of my "Bestest Friend in the Whole Wide World", who is turning 3. She's the one who will be wearing the princess dress:

I made the peasant dress and topped it with the "Simply Sweet" jumper:

Here's Tessa modeling it. :rotfl2: Tessa and Ryen (girl in above picture) have the exact same chest measurement, so I figured she could try it on for the pictures. It's a bit short on her though!:rotfl:

ETA: If you notice an extra white dog butt in the above pictures, that's Henry's grandma's PITB Westie that we're watching for the week while she suns on the beach in Cozumel.

I love that fabric! and the two together are so sweet. I need to try one of those. yeah..someday. haha

you all make these creations look so easy.

HI ladies!! Its been a few days. I have been pulling 16 to 17 hours shifts. Days are long and turn into nights and still taking care of dh and dd. Thankfully my mother in law had been there to help out this week or I dont know what I would have done!

I have like a billion pages to catch up on here now. But I know that means FABULOUS creations from you all. I have not had time to sew yet but I hope to tomorrow. I got some fabric to make something for Georgia for St. Patty's day. Yeah I know cuttin real close. haha

SOOO earlier this week, Georgia got some mail and boy was she SUPER excited! The newest loved DISperson in our house is Tinka-Belle!! She was ever so sweet to send this to Georgia knowing how much she would have loved it!!

Isn't it just so stinkin cute?!?!

Now, today at Joanns I got this load of fabric.
3-15-08050.jpg

there is some purple and white star fabric that was on clearance. So cute perfect for that "everyday" wear. the jelly bean and pink fabric is what Georgia picked out for Easter. The greens are for St. Patty's day. and still able to wear during spring and summer. Some Princess fabric the blue knit goes with that for a dress I plan on making. I got some cup cake flannel for my friend who just had a baby. They live near OR so its always a bit chilly out by the coast. nice flannel baby outfits! hehe

Georgia had her very first Girl Scout Event. It was called Camp Butterfly for Daisy Girl Scouts. She had such a blast. it was two hours, just perfect time for these girls.
3-15-08027.jpg

oh and just because she looks so darn cute in her Crown shirt. Here is our four legged Princess.
3-15-08049.jpg
Georgia is so cute in that dress. I just hope that she doesn't walk around in it showing everyone the map like Jenna does. And cute dog. She looks just like my grandma's doggy, Lupe.

Well, I finally finished something for the wife! Now she have have a little sumptin' to match the Princess!
The new She loves me, She loves me knot handbag.

My wife said it isn't very big. I told her it is "KNOT" a diaper bag!
She says it will be perfect for church, or even to put her lunch in.

I used the little magnetic closure for the bag. I just have to remember that the next time I do this, to use a plastic bobbin. As I was going over that area very slowly, the bobbin lifted it self out of its case and got all tangled up.

No, those aren't threads showing. Leighanna got a little artsy on her walls with a pencil!:sad2:

You wanna talk paciholic?!?!

Oh those pics are too funny.

Okay, finally got my models to cooperate somewhat!:goodvibes Here are some things I have been working on:
Tinkerbelle outfit, Kenzie will have the same
HPIM1398-1.jpg

HPIM1399.jpg

And here is Kenzie in her minnie dot, and Caity will have the same. I just noticed in this pic, the shirt must not have been tied tightly around her neck, it looks a little, um, revealing!:rolleyes1
HPIM1400-1.jpg

HPIM1401-1.jpg

I made myself a shirt today, too. I will post a pic later of it.
I love both of these tops but the polka dot one is my fav.

That looks like fun. DD gets to go to one tomorrow at DH's work. I'll post pics when we get back.

I know how you feel. DD is not allowed to play outside unless I am there with her and definitely not in the dark. I remember when I was a kid I used to walk to all of my friend's houses and my mom never worried. Times are different now.

That is very pretty. I just downloaded that pattern today also. I might have to make one of those for myself.

I love doll clothes! They are so cute, you did a great job on them.

Good luck! The girls look so pretty, I love the pink and green together.

Steph -
I thought I quoted you but it didnt come up .... Sorry! Anyways, I wanted to say that the sweater came out great for Meg! Wow! :thumbsup2

Thanks!

Oh my GOODNESS!!! Is that a Dachshund I spy in that picture?!

I have a doxie too...love of my LIFE...next to my husband of course...

Yes, Scrappy likes to get in the picture somehow, he's the Where's Waldo of my pictures! Here is my favorite picture of him:

100_1057.jpg

LOVE them both! That Megan is soooo cute!

WOW! Aren't you smart! This looks fantastic, but Megan looks toooo grown up!:sad2:

Wait, is she cute or too grown up? LOL! Thank you.

Impressive! I never would have known that sweater went from an adult one to a girls. looks great!

Thank you!

Yay, the clothes pins are back! I love the spring outfits, very cute! Megan loved her pacis too, such a sweet picture!

HEY NOW! I loves me a big honkin' daisy on just about anything! :snooty:

Hee, me too!

LOOOVE it Stephanie!!! That fabric is fabulous!!! Why aren't you modeling yours though? Thanks for the doggy picture!!! I feel so honored! :)

That looks so great!!! I would never have known it was an adult sweater first!!!

What really amazes me though is how it turned form red to pink!!!

I was in my pjs and didn't feel like brushing my hair yet. You'll notice I hadn't even made the bed! I knew you would appreciate the Scrappy pic.

Well, I didn't take pictures as I was doing it because I wasn't entirely sure it would work. Fortunately, I have an identical red sweater. Hey wait, were you making fun of me? :snooty:

YOU GO GIRL! And look at Meggers! love her!!

Isn't she striking the pose? LOL, thanks!

Cute! I love the Strawberry Shortcake one!

Aw, Georgia looks so happy! Megan is a Daisy too.

Very cute! Did you make the shorts too?

Love the fabrics you used! It looks like a perfect church bag. I love the pocket inside. Thanks for the tip about the bobbin case; it sounds like something I would do!

Alright, I am all up to speed. But by the time I get up in the morning there will most likely be another four pages! hahaha

I Might call in and play hooky from work tomorrow. Heck I need the rest, Heck I just need to sew its my therapy! I hope to have her outfit done for St. Patty's so she can wear to school. I need to get her some white leggings! YIKES for white! I know they will never be that crisp again. hahahaha

Night girls and Tom!

Yes! White tights are only white for about 5 seconds!

Play hooky and sew! I feel bad that I didn't make Leighanna a St. Patty's day outfit. But I figured that would be something she would only wear for ONE day, and then be thrown in the closet with some of her other "ONE DAY OUTFITS!"

I know how that goes. That's why DD only got a set of bows for St. Patrick's Day.

Wow everything is Amazing as usual - I'm going to have to try and get in here daily for a read as I just caught up on 30+pages

Heather that dress is absolutely gorgeous - I thought I read somewhere you have only been sewing a year (or not quite) wowsers that is absolutely professional looking :)

My*2*angels - the pink and orange outfit is devine - pink and orange are my favourite colours atm - my lovely mama just bought me a bag (well she wanted my bag and said she'd buy me a new one if I gave her it - I'm always up for a new bag :) )

I know I missed lots and lots but everything is gorgeous

I've got some fabric coming to make myself something - I've never made anything for myself so this will be a first. I'm using the amybutler Barcelona skirt with the Aviary fabrics from Joel Dewberry - the DK Green sparrows, bright pink sunburst :) hopefully it works out ok :)

I understand that, I made Megan's St. Patrick's day outfit it February so she has worn it about 5 times (once a week since I've made it). Then she'll wear it Monday and never again! :guilty: I do feel a little sad about it.

PrincessKell: I hope you do what's best for you. And you get that outfit done!

Ok this is the dress and hat that I made using the new YCMT patterns.

S2010101.jpg

S2010099.jpg

And this is a couple more of the bandanna outfits that I made. DD picked out the bandannas for these.
S2010096.jpg

This is one of the pre-shirred dresses from Wal-Mart.
S2010102.jpg

And here are some bows that I made to match.
S2010098.jpg

Very cute! I love the pink rose fabric. The hat is darling. I saw that pre-shirred dress fabric and Walmart and thought it was so pretty! I said to myself "that would be really cute with ribbons for straps"

Thanks for the doggy photo! Lily saw Georgia's puppy, now she sees Scrappy. She looks at him and says "oh, he love me! he want come to me!" This girl wants a doggy so badly! I want to get a puppy this summer but I'm not sure about potty training Lily and a dog at the same time :scared1:  Also, I still need to talk DH into it a bit. He LOVES dogs, but just doesn't seem to want a 5th child :confused3

I am SUPER Far behind but trying to catch up :lmao:
I have dd easter jumper completed, but she has been teething really bad this past couple days so she is not cooperating for pics right now, but I will get them when I can.

Wow! That turned out well! Really like that fabric!

I am a purse freak too and the fabric ones rock my socks!
I tend to go for "diaper bags" too though. Or what I call "mom purses". I like tons of organized pockets too because I hate to dig for lipgloss or my cell phone etc.

I saw one in the McCalls book, #5598? I think, and I looooove it. I want a funky floral with stripy coordinating fabric and maybe some chenielle (sp). But I'm not sure if chenielle screams "There are Pampers in this mom-purse!" Since my baby is 3 1/2, I need to break away, I guess, from that look.

Sydney has GREAT taste in fabric.

Love the pink purse with the bow on the front.

That chichucha looks just like my Jordan, only a lot bigger. Jordan is a miniature (not tea cup) dog.
