I've had the same problems this week but only on my computer. I sign on to the DIS on my mom's computer and it runs fine. I sign on to the DIS with my computer and I can't get anything to open. Restarting the computer doesn't work, I had to actually shut down and turn it back on. The computer works fine as long as I don't come to the DIS first. After shutting down and restarting 3 times tonight it's finally working alright. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who's having trouble. I thought there was something wrong with my computer.
I'm still having the same problem signing on to the disboard. It freezes my computer then i have to restart. I have aol and windows 95. I did a search for msn and got on the way, but unable to get on through aol. Very weird.
I just tried to get on the boards with AOL (1:00 pm) and my computer froze. I couldn't even restart it, I had to shut it down.
Frustrating!
I know you guys are working on it, good luck!
hey- Im at work - dont make me laugh that loud!
I was thinking of telling DH it was the DIS so he didnt think it was the computer - maybe I better rethink that!
Ugh! I have had this same trouble all week! How frustrating. Same symptoms as P. Michelle above's post. Win 98 and AOL 7.0. All is fine until I come here...
I finally got on tonight but was only able to log on once all week.
I thought I had been banned.
P. Michelle, no, no, honeychild. You could not be more wrong. The Beach Boys are like Disneyworld---makes you happy, happy, happy if you'd listen and sing along (loudly) When, just when, will I get through to you??? *sigh*
(I think the problem has something to do with the plastic and duct tape on the screen!)
I've got the same problem - can't access from my Windows NT system through IE. It stalls out my browser and I have to restart to get things going again. All I can see is the pale blue screen with the lines on it. It's maddening. Maybe we can step back and switch to the old user interface? This one clearly has some serious compatibility issues.
Michelle, you are so bad. Hunter knows she can't live here if she doesn't like them. It is the first rule of the house. I see that tiny print you are using now...you are bad! Wait til I sing those tunes in your ears...you'll be sorry about this! (And voice is terrible so I'm doubly serious!!) LOL
I understand the value of a fun conversation, but I do hope this thread doesn't stray far away from the topic at hand. This is a really important issue to me - I'd like to be able to access the DIS again on a regular basis.
