Okay I just have to say this.

I really have a problem when people post something to a thread when they haven't read the whole thing. Especially when they proceed to make a comment or ask a question that has already been asked and answered, and they would know that if they bothered to read it all. Or at least skim through it. It's especially annoying when those people are bashing the OP or the other posters but they have their facts wrong.

Take an extra few seconds and read the whole thing before you post. Okay, I feel better now. Anyone else have any pet peeves when it comes to these boards?

Being a thread killer... :sad1:

I was just going to say that! :rotfl:

I hate when people's grammar and spelling get corrected too.

on a techie basis-i hate it when i try to go back to the main page and it hiccups and sends me back to the thread posting i made 3 posts ago, i also hate it when i am trying to page down and it jumps me to another board.

on a posting basis-when someone hits enter post several times and i get 3 or 4 email notices on the same post!

YES. I really dislike when you answer a post asking for advice or help, and they never return or acknowledge your response. It makes these boards seem very impersonal, you know? :sad1:

I can't stand people "bumping" and having a conversations on the photo threads... I get so excited to see a new picture when it shows new posts and it's like "hey so-and-so, great pics, what camera do you use, where were you, blah, blah"... That's what PM's are for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, I know this one can't be helped, but people stating incorrect information as a matter of fact. It's unfortunately how untruths are spread because often like momma4u said:

I'm guilty of this. I sometimes know I can respond to someone, but don't have time to read 10 pages of responses.

Someone just made up a new user name to post something very offensive (just a few minutes ago---I'm sure it will be gone very soon---). Why don't they let people know who they really are? The person is mad, basically because there are mods who regulate the boards . Who cares, it is an internet message board. Get a life. A troll--if that's the correct word for someone that does that.

I think people should not get so upset over petty things like spelling errors, repeated answers, a question that has already been asked (maybe they missed it before...). Things like that.

Oh, and when someone posted a nice story yesterday (I think it was yesterday) someone just had to ruin it and make negative comments which turned into a debate. Whether that story was true or not, it was the moral of the story that counted. Also, if you don't believe in God, stay away from those threads so people who do believe in Him can have a nice discussion.

This doesn't bug me as much as some things that have already been mentioned, but I think it's really strange when people put a LONG warning in the title and the post ends up being about 5 lines long. I guess some people just have different ideas about what constitutes a long post. :confused3

Yes! ITA. My dad missed his calling as an English teacher. I had enough correcting at home. I certainly would think that one shouldn't have to put up with it on an informal message board.

An old complaint, but I really wish they could make a separate forum for games and exchanges.

thought of another-very young tweens/teens who are posting as adults. i've encountered some giving "first hand" parenting (school administration interaction) and cruise planning information that was totaly off-base and just wasted the time of the op, as well as chiming in on sensitive topics that in no way they had the life experience to discuss. also "flame bunnies" (as i refer to them), they sit in wait for a topic and hop on to flame the person who is responding to a clear cut request for opinions. o.k. if you don't have the same opinion, fine say it but don't disolve the thread into an argument and discourage others from posting their opinion.

Mhmm...

I really dislike too many 'smileys' - I have seen posts were there are more smiley's than words....
