Disaster Averted - and hopefully someone got their Waitlist!

We were supposed to go to VWL 10/16-10/24. Flight was booked, whole 9 yards. DH calls today, problem. Leave orginally approved has been revoked as he has mandatory training that week in TX. Can we rebook? Can we rebook?, he says.....its FWF and Halloween and he thinks we can rebook? We already couldnt get our home resort BCV, I am pretty sure we are up the creek.

Call to MS. Irish is awesome. She went thru all resorts, all dates in October to see what is available. Oct. was important not only for FWF but because its our 10th anniversary. She was so understanding. Well, we got 10/25-31 at SSR! PFHEW!!! We will just find hotel with AP rates hopefully for 10/23-24 if our waitlist doesnt come thru. The plus is I now have points to bank! Woo hoo!!!

Next was Delta.....we paid $176 per ticket on Song. After cancellation fees we would only have $153 credit, less than full price of ticket. However, I explained that it was because of military orders and they were able to waive the penalties and book the flights on the new dates with the same price! Double PFHEW!!!

So, I hope someone got a call today that their waitlist came thru on the week we originally had booked!!!

That is so great that MS was able to help you out!! I would be so bummed if I had to cancel my trip and could not reschedule. Glad it worked out well for you!
