Disappointed with upkeep of rooms at SSR

Plus I think I heard an upgrade is scheduled in the near future...

Actually one guest (not on DIS) reported they switched his Tube TV for LCD on Jan 3 in Congress Park. So I guess the upgrade is currently in progress. It'll probably be finished by Spring Break time.

We just got home on 1/11 after a 4 night stay at SSR in a 1 bdrm at Carousel Bldg. closest to bus stop. It was very clean and other than a few white marks on the coffee table/trunk and the bedroom desk from someone not using coasters everything was in very good shape. We did have to call for a few things missing from the kitchen.....no spatula or cutting board.... which they brought to us promptly. I'm returning the end of the month for a few days and staying at SSR again ......in a studio.....so I'll see what condition that is in. I've requested either the Springs or Grandstand building closet to the Carriage House for my upcoming trip.

Surely you don't shower without putting the latch and deadbolt on your door.

Everyone please remember every time you walk into a hotel room, someone else has a key to it, deadbolt and latch your doors.

Been there...didn't do that...
A mousekeepper came in one time while we were in the tub... Just relaxing, no funny business... needless to say she was quite embarrassed. We chalked it up to experience.

We are here now at Saratoga. We are in the Grandstand section and have no problems whatsoever. I was very pleased with the great shape the room is in.

This is all scary news since I have a studio reserved there in February, and I will need to put a child on the sofa bed and won't arrive until the wee hours of the morning. I sure hope it is clean and stocked. How do you know where your unit is? I just reserved a studio and had no clue some sections would be better than others!

You can request a area or view but you are at the mercy of the room assigner. Sometimes we get our request and sometimes we don't.

If you have a problem with your room, I would wait and address in issue in the morning.

The sheets will either be in the closet or inside the coffee table. You just make it up yourself. If you can't find any sheets or blankets, you just call Housekeeping and they will bring you some. When we were making up the sleeper sofa and sleeper chair at OKW last week, there were no blankets. Called Housekeeping and we had them about 15 minutes later.

Take a deep breath and relax. Everything will be fine.
