Disappointed with H and V.

Unfortunately, I don't think Sci-Fi is any better, IMO. Also, my MIL went with my neice and nephew this past July, and while they loved the place, they hated the food, said it was the worst meal of all the places they went. Try 50's Prime Time, if you don't already have it down.

Yeah, I've been to Sci- fi... didn't love that place either. 50's is totally out. After the service and meal this past Nov and the time before- NO way!!!
Had an awful experience at Mama's too.
My son was around 6 years old and we ordered him the chick parm. He took a bite and had a bone in it. His tooth came out!!! He was bleeding and crying- when I told our server- he said, nice try but no free meal!!! His tooth was already out right? I wasn't laughing... he could see the bone and the blood with the tooth.
I think MGM really lacks quality restaurants. It's too bad. It's my favorite park.

I think Sci Fi can be a decent alternative if you stick to what they know how to do.....burgers and fries.

I also decided to do Mama Melrose w/o fantasmic. We are going to see Fantasmic at 8:30 Oct 20. Two shows that night, so I'm hoping for decent crowds.

I'll be there that same week...but according to the calender at the Disney website there's only 1 show on the 20th at 7:30. You might want to double check that....and if I'm wrong please let me know.

The 19th has 2 shows (7:30 & 9pm) and the 20th has 1 at 7:30.

H & V is one of only 2 restuarants in WDW we won't return to.
Awful, lukewarm food, Rude server, dirty unbussed tables everywhere and fiflthy Rest Rooms.
We will never go again

We ate there once for dinner in 2006 (Fantasmic package) and we were not too impressed. However, we have been there twice (2007 & 2008) for the Playhouse Disney lunch and we thought it was great. The food was just kinda so-so (although my DH LOVED the mac & cheese!) but the servers were great! Very friendly and helpful. My two younger DSs LOVED the character interactions.

We went for breakfast in September 2007. The food was blah, and it was too loud. My son, who loves character meals, was overwhelmed by the singing, etc.

I can see where it might be fun for others, it just was not our cup of tea. We won't be returning.
