Disappointed this time

As someone who works in the service industry, it is because people are less tidy. There is a huge sense of entitlement, to the point that people feel they can be disgusting and make a mess because someone is paid to clean up.

100% on the money. Saw things this week at the parks that were absolutely disgusting.

Well, people really do have attitudes in this day and age! It is astonishing the lack of respect people have for the area around them. It's everywhere now. Too bad Disney isn't immune anymore. :(

I had to let a CM know that someone threw up all over the floor of one of the Pirate's of the Caribbean boats. Yep, almost stepped in it, told the CM, who looked at me like I was crazy and hopped off, telling said CM that my husband and I would get on the next boat. They actually sent the boat through with guests on it, and THEN, cleaned it out, after guests exited. GROSS!! This was on March 9th.

I have to say on our last trip in October we saw pop bottles floating in Small World and candy wrappers in the graveyard in Haunted Mansion
People just don't seem to care
It's sad

I've never posted here, I have been a lurker for many years though. I've learned so many great tips from different posts, thank you to the experienced disboarders!

So, we just came home from our stay at BCV this week. We had a fabulous time together. LOVED the BCVs too! My disappointed comes with the attitude of people in the park. I've been going to WDW since 1979, pretty regularly too. I've seen A TON of rude people in my years, believe me! My disappointment was the lack of respect people have for the parks. Throwing trash on rides:eek: Who does that?!? I particularly notice on Haunted Mansion. People had thrown trash on the right side of the buggies as you get on the ride. It made me sad to see this.

Is it possible to start a Respect Disney movement?

I am just back from TokyoDisney and you will never see that there. There are tons of teenage kids in the park. And it is packed full day and night. You can eat off the floor! Different culture and deep respect for DisneyLand in Tokyo.

I "danced" with one of the trash sweepers last summer. I dropped a napkin and we had a little tug of war over it. LOL So Disney definitely has their cleaning crews out, people are just pigs.

I think this is a great reason to thank some of the Cm's that are cleaning up those peoples messes for a job well done. We have found much of the time that those are the best (and friendliest sometimes) people to ask if you have a question.

That's just a shame people how people act. But what goes around comes around. :thumbsup2

Is it that people have become less tidy or that Disney is cutting the cleaning crews? People are people where ever they go I haven't noticed a great increase in disgusting people they have always been there.

I vote cutbacks!

Training isn't what it used to be. :(

I believe the CM's are doing their jobs to the best of their abilities. I also believe there are people in this world who just don't care. It's sad. I seriously saw more trash on the rides than I did on the "streets" in the parks. I still love WDW. I will still go. Maybe, hopefully, people as a whole will start to show respect for things someday...
