Disney hyped and IS hoping this as we speak. I have the commercial for this ride at least 10 times since Saturday while watching Hulu. People will actually plan trips because Disney said to come see it.
would a 15 yo girl like this or is she to old? she's not a huge fan of most of the stuff in Fantasyland
I'm sure I'll love the 7DMT. However, my preference would have been to add a headliner to EPCOT or something family friendly to WS.
MK didn't need a draw or more ride capacity while EPCOT and HS certainly do.
I am puzzled by the "nothing is ever good enough" mentality that seems to take over every project. Not every ride has to "blow it out of the park". We loved the new ride, and like most rides, enjoyed the 2nd ride even more than the first. Can't wait to try it again, and am sure it will become a classic in its own right. The cars were innovative, the interior scene was terrific, sure I will find something new every time, and the interactive part of the queue were imaginative and fun. I am happy. (other dwarfs not withstanding.)
And how long has it been since Disney blew one out of the park? Almost 10 years now (Everest which was so so out of the park). Disney is so lucky that the sheeple flock to their defense on their shortfalls. Keep up the great work folks!!!!!!!!!!
One could reasonably argue Toy Story Mania has been pretty successful.
there was years of hype about this short ride. it is disappointing for all of the hubaloo about it and time it took to open.

Can't be, it's just a bunch of computer screens.![]()
Everest was a home run WITH a moving Yeti, and all the special effects. Now, with Disco Yeti, no bird on a stick (which was funny it was so bad), Everest is just a medium size coaster with some rock theming, a large portion of it in the dark, and a quick view of a large statue of a Yeti. Nothing groudbreaking at all, unless you want to talk about the foundation of the Yeti.

Running a Wii game in hi definition with mounted controllers.
I mean, really, TSMM is just a Wii game with Wii U level graphics, with really good presentation.

People keep repeating this misconception. It seemed to take longer than it should because Disney started from scratch with Mine Train, after announcing NFL. The public said that the plans were two "princess-centric", so Disney scrambled to add one more ride. They had to start with the design phase, and from there to actual opening, three years is not excessive.
Universal built ALL of Hogsmead, including a truly state of the art dark ride, in about the same time.

Hey I am just calling it for how I see it folks, sometimes a little bit of the truth hurts. For the majority of you on here, Disney can do no wrong and that is why they are able to get away with doing the bare minimum for the past 10 years at WDW. I can't blame the Disney executives at all for the short comings at the parks these days, I blame the people (who are coming in droves) for rewarding them for presenting such a shoddy product.
How can it be that some of the best rides and attractions at Disney are ones that were developed in the 1960's? That is 50 years ago. The Disney groupies have got to wake up and come to their senses about their defense of Disney. You are all thinking with your emotions and not with logic.
The sad news is that I doubt Disney will ever build a new attraction the size and the scope of The Haunted Mansion/Pirates/Splash Mountain/ TOT again at WDW. And why would they? There is absolutely no incentive whatsoever for them to do so.
