Just got back from the world and spent an afternoon at typhoon lagoon. With all hte hype for crush n gusher, I expected way more than it was. It was ok, and I am glad we did it, but when we finished it I looked at the kids and we all came to the same conclusion that we didn't feel the need to do it again. we had a better time on the slides and the wave pool. Again, it was fun, but not as fun as we expected from all of the hype. Just our opinion, any others???

We loved it. Of course we had basically no lines for it when we went in September so perhaps that helped with our opinion. We did all three tubes and thought that they were all great. We also had fun watching other people come off the end of the tube and their reaction.

We loved it too. Walking up all those steps carrying the tube wasn't so much fun, but we really enjoyed the ride down.

We really had no lines either. Just wasn't as fun as we expected, thats all.

I thought it was fun but just too darn short... it wasn't worth that hike up with the raft.. we could have done it again no wait but chose not to.

We enjoyed it. We did it first thing in the morning (June), with no waits. Went down all three slides. I am definitely not a slide person though, and I had a good time. I think it is a great addition to the park.

What hype are you referring too, since I don't recall hearing all that much about it before our trip?

Reason I dont do water parks often = stairs.

the climbing is just too much for enjoyment. I often feel that by the time I'm done coming down that the hard walk up was enough to take away enjoyment from the ride.

now, with the technology of Crush and Gusher to use upwards pushing water (which is not new technology btw) maybe they could give you a ride UP TO the ride to come down.

If you ever want to find (over)hype, all you have to do is watch Resort TV.

We LOVED it! We rode all 3 slides, and did one twice. We would have done it more but it got more crowded as the day went on. I definitely hope to get back to TL again someday because I'd really like doing it again.

That wavepool on the other hand....Too strong for me! I could have used a few more medium sized waves and fewer massive bone crunching ones!

we LOVED it....
went on all three but didn't particularly like banana..
but coconut and pineapple were great...
we did them both repeatedly, with 2 people, 3 people and individually....super great slides......we did them both in july and again in september...

we're kind of psycho waterpark people....love slides, lazy rivers, the TL surfing pool, etc...
but C&G kind of ruined us for other tube slides...
by the way, the stairs at C&G aren't bad at all...if you want stairs, go to the tube slides at BB....the ones all the way at the back (3 slides, one covered, 2 uncovered).....now there you' have stairs...heart attack heaven...

I loved Crush and Gusher. I though it was so much fun. Me and DBF were laughing the whole way down, mostly because we were trying to keep our butts from hitting the bottom. There were a lot of stairs but I was able to walk up them and I have asthma. Now some of the slides on the other side of the park, those gave me trouble.

Me and my wife went on crush n gusher and loved it, we went on it 4 times, but the double rider only slide was not as fast it seemed. A few times the worker would let me go in front and it was a lot funner b/c I could lift up on the down slope and get some air time, though it could be dangerous but still fun.

You got that right! Those BB stairs kill me.

We loved Crush N Gusher. We got there at opening & went straight to them & did all 3 before hitting the rest of the Park.

The newer Schlitterbahn in South Padre Island Texas supposedly does this. They call it "Transportainment".

I loved C&g. It was at my limit of fear. Screamed a lot, laughed a lot.

Summit plummit i am afraid would make my heart literally stop.
