Disappointed in Beaches and Cream

We recently went to Beaches and Cream because of all of the great things i have heard about it on the Dis. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. This was the most disgusting cheeseburger i have ever had in my life. Every bite was full of nothing but gristle. So gross.. i get chills just thinking about it. Everyone else hated their food as well. I couldn't believe it! Have they gone downhill recently and i didn't know?? The quality of the meat was putrid. Just wondering if anyone else noticed it, or if it was just me.

We ate there in Nov. and loved it! Sorry you you had a bad experience- hopefully it was just an off-night.

I was just there last Friday and my burger was very good - like the PP said, maybe you just got a bad one or I'm less picky! Onion rings were awesome, along with my No Way Jose!

Have to chime in that you must have gotten a bad cut of burger. Did you say anything to your server?

My DD and I eat there a couple of times a month and have never had a bad meal.

We ate there for the first time in December and really enjoyed it. My DH considers B&C to have one of the best burgers that he has ever gotten. He liked it so much that we went back a couple more times during our trip. The No Way Jose sundae is by far one of the best sundaes that I have had. We cannot wait to return in March. Sorry you had a bad experience, like the PPs mentioned, it may just of been an off day.

We ate at Beaches and Cream on our trip in December. We liked it so much we went back later in the week. DH is the only one who got a burger, but he said it was really good. My guess is they got in a bad bunch of meat.

We went in Dec and my DH still talkes about that huge double burger he got. He loved it. So definatly think you got a bad batch of meat.

We ate here last may. We both had burgers and agreed they were among the best we have had. Would visit every trip just for a burger

We went to Beaches and Cream last June and almost all of us got burgers, fries and milkshakes and we all loved it. I'm sorry you had a bad experience!

We eat at B&C quite a lot. I do not like the burgers there either. They were never "gross" to me, but just not great. More like an average burger. What I get now is the chili cheese hot dog and I really like this a lot! I think what they are best for, though, is the ice cream treats and we tend to go there now just for dessert.

If you want a good burger and are in that area, ESPN Club has a great burger. I get it with sauteed mushrooms and cheddar cheese and think it's outstanding.

I'm sorry you didn't have a good meal there. We have gone to Beaches and Cream twice and the food has always been great. Once we got the Kitchen Sink and it was amazing!!

I am thinking i need to give B&C another try, just to be sure I WANTED to like it, because its so cute inside and i have heard soo many good things! I'm hoping that all it was was a batch of bad meat Thanks for the responses!

We at there in November 08- it was INEDIBLE. We all got burgers, and they were just terrible. I don't even know how to describe the food there, but it reminded me of something from White Castle- steamed burgers?
However, the desserts looked good- a table across from us ordered some GIGANTIC sunday, 4 giggly high school girls were sharing it.
We really wanted the dessert, but after having that pretty bad meal, we just wanted to get out of there.

Maybe we also just hit a bad day....

I'm sorry you were dissapointed in your experience there. WE have always loved it!! I think something to remember is that Beaches and Cream is known for their sundaes, and those are AMAZING

that sounds awful I rarely order hamburgers in restaurants for that very reason - I HATE fat/grizzle of any kind and I get so turned off a place if I have an experience like yours. We just came back from a stay at BWV and I was so disappointed that we didn't make it to Beaches & Cream. I'm kind glad now. Next time - I'm going strictly for the No Way Jose!
