DD graduates in the morning. I am frantic, but I needed some time on the computer to decompress.

congrats to your DD!!

melinda - i just posted the beauty & the beast installment of my TR and i got some really good pics. just wanted to let you know because i know you love that show.

I just woke up! :scared1: I got home at around 1 am but I never sleep this late! we went to the met game last night and I was a good girl I only drank water ...no beer!!! :thumbsup2 It's suppose to rain here tonight which stinks because my fiance and I are suppose to see Stone Temple Pilots in concert tonight at PNC artscenter (Outdoor venue)

Yesterday I tried Jackie Warner's (that chick from Bravo tv show Workout) 3 in 1 new Workout video. It divided in 3 sections 20 minutes upper body, 20 minutes lower body and 20 minutes of core/abs. I did all 3 sections. The first 2 sections were just ok (upper/lower)...but I thought the core/abs section was excellent and really challenging...

Hope all the Peeps have a great weekend!

p.s. I think my bridal shower is next saturday too! someone slipped and then I peaked at my registry and all the gifts were almost good....NICE! :thumbsup2

Ok, **Stupid Question Alert** - what is a Bridal Shower?
Over here we have Hen Nights (or Hen Parties) but that is where all the girls go out, have some drinks etc, and I dont think thats the same thing? I think you call that something else? Anyhoo, Im totally confused! :( :rotfl2:

I think a Hen Night here would be a Bachelorette Party

A Bridal Shower is a party for all women that usually the Mother of The Bride or Bridesmaid host for the Bride and they "shower" the bride with presents. The Bride will register at a store or stores of her choosing and the guests of the shower can pick what they want off the registry to bring. Usually its a lunch or brunch and they play games during it....I usually find them super boring but hey I had to sit through everyone elses shower so now its my turn! ;) :lmao:

Ahh, Bachelorette Party - thats the name I was looking for!
Bridal Showers sound cool (if you're the bride!) - we don't do anything like that over here, although Im thinking we should! :rotfl2:
That should be pretty cool - hopefully you'll get some really nice gifts! :cool1:

Yeah. You'll have to let me know about the Hoop-De-Do that looks like a lot of fun.

We did Hoop De Doo last year too and we loved it. The show is kinda corny but even my "I hope nobody here knows me teenager" was clapping along and was hoping to be picked to go on stage. Food was really good. Not gormet but "home" cooking. My youngest daughter ate 12 ribs all by herself and was a barbeque sauce grin from ear to ear. It was one of the ones that they wanted to do again for sure.

Hey your Bush money is going towards our vacation too

Glad I could help you out! Just kidding- I knew what you meant.

Dance Recital is finished. The girls did so good. I'm a sappy mom. Cried all the way through. My girls did a duet for the first time this year- it was beautiful. "Dance" will appreciate the technical aspects- They started out at the ballet bar and did some bar work then it changed to a jazz tempo song "We'll Be Dancin"- double turns, hitch kicks, split leaps, that dance turn with your leg straight out, (fouette') chaine turns. They were working on a triple turn into a double fouette but couldnt get it synchorinized before recital, beautiful arabesque at the bar... It really made me cry when the couple sitting next to me commented on how beautiful my girls were.

WOW, your girls sound super talented from the sounds of those steps in combination! If you have a way to share video I would love to see them! I never could get more than about 2 fouette turns in a row  I remember a dance teacher I had once told me that to be a professional in most companies that is the one thing they ask you to do, and she said they want you to be able to do about 30 of them! Who knows how true that was....my guess is she was just trying to get us to practice harder ;)

For anyone following my 'saga' over the past year, my surgery is at 1 tomorrow afternoon. I am excited and nervous and scared as heck all at once. I do get to stay one night in the hospital so that actually makes me feel better about it somehow. Send me some courage and pixie dust if you have any to spare ;) The really good thing is DH hired a cleaning person to come tomorrow and do the whole house top to bottom for me! :faint: The bad part of that was I had to clear out the clutter this past week so they could actually do their job. :rotfl: I am down to the master bedroom I have been avoiding for close to 6 months now. It is really bad :scared1:

good luck on your surgery, dance! :goodvibes let us know how you are as soon as you're able.

i decided to start counting calories on my little spreadsheet and weighing in again. i've gained like 5 pounds over the past 2 weeks - nothing undoable, but counting calories really is the best way for me to lose weight. well, i picked a HORRIBLE day to start. some old friends came over and DH took them to the grocery store and came back with chicken, strip steak, pork loin, churizo sausage all to grill and then asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and corn on the cobb. add pico de gallo and guacamole dip to it and......not good! but i'll be back on track tomorrow.

i weighed 134 this morning. my goal is 125 by the end of august.

Dance:

I will be thinking of you tomorrow. You will be fine and just remember how much better you will feel in the long run. And nothing like a good excuse to clean out the house-

Thanks for the compliments on my girls. When I get their recital video back I'm going to try and make a copy to mail to a friend of mine and if it works out I'll send you one too. The girls dance teachers tell them if they have good technique and spot that they should be able to turn forever. My dance experience is limited- I was a single turn girl myself- but it was a single on a balance beam so does that count extra? LOL!

Dance Sending you Some Pixie Dust for your surgery tomorrow! :wizard:

I am one of the few people who did NOT like the Hoop De Doo Revue. My fiance and I disliked it so much we left the show mid way. I am a total cornball when I am in Disney but for us The HDDR was just to over the top! I think we may have liked it better if we had children with us.. The food was great though! The cornbread was YUMMY!!!!

Hey Dance! :) Much pixie dust headed your way from me! You will be fine, and you will be so happy when it's done. I know you've wanted it for a long time. And you're going to enjoy that clean house too, I bet! ;) I'll be thinking of you.

I'm sending you prayers and pixie dust, Dance. I saw my niece today who had the surgery at the beginning of the year. It's been a blessing for her, and I know it will be for you too.

Good luck on your surgery Jen(dance)! You'll do great!!

Let us all know how you're are doing when you can!

Good luck this week Peeps! Think Thin!

Thanks everyone. I am seriously freaking out so your messages helped more than you know. I will check in when I can....possibly high on pain killers so I appologize in advance for anything I may say :rotfl: I am staying up as late as I can to have a snack before bed of some kind, just not sure what to eat. I cant eat anything after midnight and if I dont have something before bed I will be starving by the time I go in.

And Sparkie, let me know about the video. I would love to see it.

okay......i've recently been baffled by this and i have nowhere else to express my baffled-ness, so i'm putting it here. react, if you will.

The pectoral muscles -the same ones that guys have- are present on a girl too. The breast tissue sits on top of them. My best guess is that the device is actually enhancing the pectoral muscles and when the pectoral muscles move, the breast tissue moves with them. What does your trainer friend think?-

Dawn that is weird.

Plesae forgive but I forgot to weigh in on Friday. I'm +2.4. The boys had field day at school and I was walking around all day from 9:30 to 3:00 and I even pushed Elizabeth in her stroller up a hill twice. I literally had to sit down at the top and drink some water, funny site. I acted like I was giving her something to drink ;) The whole day was great, we had a beautiful day too.

Have a peep day everyone.

i haven't asked her about it yet because she's in new york on vacation. it's funny - the first time i saw the commercial was at a bachelorette party last weekend. it was on the TV in the bar at the restaurant we were at. i understand that the point is to enhance the pec muscles, but the way the chick's girls are MOVING is what freaks me out. i do chest exercises all the time and my girls NEVER do that!
