Welcome fifi!! :goodvibes

UM, congrats on Riley's baptism... I think I would giggle too. And no, that was last week so it counted on "their" week. ;)

Punkin/Pakey, margaritas/martinis are definitely evil.

Hi Everyone ~ I found this thread via a link in the Food Porn thread. I'd love to join in. I really need to find some support while I try to drop these 20 pounds I packed on 2 years ago. I'm 5'3" and I show each and every extra pound.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all. I'm so impressed already with the losses I've read about so far! Thanks for letting me join in. princess:

Hi, I am a food adict and a DISboard adict. I am hoping that this thread will help relieve my food addiction by channeling it into the DISboard addiction.

I am 34 years old, 5'7", female, 192 pounds. I have had weight issues since I graduated from high school and got out of sports and into academics. I gained up to 180 pounds about 10 years ago, and lost down to 140 using Jenny Craig. It worked well for me then. I have had 2 kids since then, and never lost the weight (and actually put on a few extra pounds). Jenny Craig doesn't work so well for me with kids because I still have to fix their food, and we eat on the run alot. So, when I saw this thread, I thought I would go to plan B. I know how to do it, it is just a matter of setting my mind to it. So, here I am. Thanks for letting me join in.

You guys sound like a lot of fun!:cool1:

Hello everybody...

I posted on the first Peeps thread LONG ago!

I still need help, though, which is why I'm making a return trip.

I am SO READY to walk miles every day, eat food the way God (not Ronald McDonald) made it, and drink gallons of water. I'm okay on the last two, but it's still cold and nasty here in Michigan - we're waiting on spring, trying not to strangle each other from the cabin fever!

I've been catching up on some of the trip reports of those who post often here. What a wonderful way to get a quick Disney buzz! Plus, it reminds me what a funny, hilarious, crazy, FUNNY group this is.

Thanks in advance for the advice, the help, and especially the belly laughs.

Beth :)

Welcome back Beth! I remember you! I had a break from the thread also and am happy to be back!

Okay, here goes. I had 3 bud selects before going into the game, 3 large beers at the game, a 1/3 lb thickburger and an order of fries in the game. After we got home, I had 3 regular Red Hook beers, kettle chips and cheese, and 2 slices of a frozen supreme pizza (cooked of course). And I think maybe 2 100-cal ho-hos but things got a little fuzzy (why I don't know! ). This all took place between 6PM and 2AM. And yes, I had to be at work at 9:30AM on Wednesday.

I usually add a huge salad to any frozen meal, and sometimes veggies and fruits as well. I try to get the lower calorie ones (200 or less) so that I have the calories for a decent low-fat salad dressing and can still keep it all under 400-500.Good luck tonight!!

Hey that's not too bad, 1 lb gain and TOM was here. You probably would have lost if she wasn't here.

random post......do you guys realize what i will be doing exactly one month from this very minute (8:02 p.m. EST)?????? i will be just sitting down for my 8:00 ADR at narcoosee's!!!!! :cloud9:

by the way, margaritas are evil. that is all. :upsidedow

Yeah, I agree margaritas are evil. I acutally had a pomegranite (spelling is probably wrong) frozen one last week.

by the way, i posted some fun rock band pics on my pre-TR......:rockband:

Saw the post, so cute

Welcome back

Ok remember I told you my DH sister was coming over and we were probably going to have pizza. Well guess what. She makes plans to come over (she lives in VA if no one read my last post about her) around 4:30-5:00 and eats dinner with her crew before coming here :scared1: What are we supposed to do. Well then my DH's aunt comes over and decides to have an ice cream party. Yes I said it I had ice cream for dinner, as did my children. Boy I am not going to get that mother of the year award for sure now. I didn't do too bad. I had chocolate ice cream with peanuts, bananas, strawberries, whipped cream and hot fudge. Not a good peep dinner at all. So ashamed but then pissed at her for thinking we eat dinner at 4:upsidedow Dh was kind of pissed too. Oh well. Back on track again tomorrow. I was doing so good today too. Good night my peeps.

Hi all!
So far so good. I'm doing better with my eating, and slowly working in more physical activities. Some days are hard for me because of joint pain and fatigue, but I try my best to do all that my body will let me do. :cheer2:

Anyway, I plan to be around the boards more, and participating and such. In fact, Aaron, I would like to participate in the "Cinco de Mayo" challenge it seems you guys are doing. My goal is 7lbs. :thumbsup2
P.S. - check out my new ticker... Disney in June! Woo hoo!! :dance3:
Hi Tia! Good to see you. Woo hoo on your ticker!

I'm back from WDW and I'm -3.:woohoo:

Woo hoo PD. Way to show self-control. I'm very impressed.

My son Riley's baptism Day tomorrow!!!! BIG day for him!
We're having a ice cream sundae party after. So I bought a teeny tiny portion controlled (for Barbie dolls) WW mint looking desert. Got some fat free whipped topping so I can feel special too!
I know I'm behind, but blessings on my birthday buddy (2/25, right?) I love the giggle-fit. My kids think it's hysterical that the craziest things can have me laughing so hard I cry.

Punkin/Pakey, margaritas/martinis are definitely evil.
OK, but it took a Bahama Mama to get me to shake my groove thing out there with the youngsters. And the calories aren't too bad. Just as long as there's no food around, because alcohol makes me lose my self-control.

As for the pizza, I am literally hiding in my bedroom right now. DD has a bunch of her friends over for her 18th b-day, and they are eating stuffed crust pizza and chocolate cake. I hope they take the leftovers home. If it weren't for the Cinco de Mayo challenge, I'd be out there now.

It was painful, but because of the contest with the other board, I actually stayed away from the Dole Whips and only had 1 premium Mickey bar! Ok so I did start the vaca with a Pina Colava! My sister NSalz (remember her?) was already at our resort. I texted her when we got on Magical Express and she was waiting for me with a HUGE Pina Colava when we got to POR! Can a sister get any better than that?
That NSalz is an  . And maybe a bit of a

Quick question for those of you who have eaten at Cinderella's Royal Table.

I posted on another thread my ADR for dinner was 6:55 pm. Someone posted back that I will not technically sit down until almost 8pm....is this true? I know you have to take a pic with Cinderella but does this take almost an hour to do.

Just a little panicked because our intentions were to see wishes after dinner. any thoughts?

Welcome to our Newbies...FiFi & RX!!! :wave2: You'll like it here!!!

Dawn...Nice pics of RockBand! I am assuming it is a video game, like Guitar Hero. I somehow missed your Pre-TR, so I'll have to catch up on it later today.

UM..We had one girl who was getting baptized start to refuse to get in because the water was cold! Mom coaxed a little and she was fine! Blessings to Riley!!

We're getting a heat wave here in Buffalo...High of 46 today!!! WOOHOO!!! I need to get out and walk, but the treadmill will do for today.

Thanks for the welcomes!

We are actually heading out on a mini vacation today to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN. So, I guess I will start my exercise program pushing a stroller up and down the hills in the park. We only live about 3 hours away from Dollywood. It is not the "World", but we will have fun anyway.

Not sure if I will have WiFi, so I will check in when I get back.

Hi all!

I've been busy, busy lately. I'm trying to keep up with everyone, but haven't had much time to post. I "moved" this weekend to Alexandria; it's temporary and I still have my house up north. I'll be here for about six months. I love how everything is in walking distance. I've already walked two miles this morning... just taking the dog out and running to the grocery store. I'm hoping being in the area, walking, and having so many restaurants with good healthy choices close by will give me the boost I need to get back on track. I've been stalled on weight loss for the past few months, but I'm recommitting to myself and have a goal of 40 more pounds gone forever by the time I "move" back home. That gives me six months. Without internet in the apartment and restrictions at my new office, I don't know that I'll be able to check-in here a lot -- especially for friday weigh-ins. However I'll try to keep up with everyone and check-in when I can.

Hope everyones having an amazing weekend!

MJ

don't you just love the in-laws??? ray's sister and nephew spent the night with us on friday night. they decided to get lots of snacky food for dinner at the grocery store, which i don't mind because i'm used to it. they think i'm wierd for dieting. the woman brings her own creamer for coffee when she comes over because she doesn't want to use my fat free (yummy) hazelnut creamer. anyway, we're standing there and ray has put 2 boxes of chicken eggrolls, mozzarella sticks, pizza rolls, chicken poppers and 2 boxes of potato skins in the shopping cart and she looks at him and goes, "are you sure that's enough potato skins?" he said, "um....i would hope so. there's only 3 of us eating - dawn will probably have one of her frozen meals." and she goes, "but i eat a whole box by myself."

okay.....if you wanna eat yourself into an early grave, that's one thing. whatever. but then she didn't even offer us ANY money for any of the food. i don't mind paying for it but you're gonna look me in the eye and complain about the AMOUNT i'm buying for you????? :headache:

WELCOME to the newbies!!!!! :goodvibes i don't know if anyone's explained this, but we weigh in on fridays. just post how much you've lost or gained in big pretty numbers like this: -7 pounds (i wish!!!) utahmama keeps up with it and tallies everyone's weight together. also, aaron (WIdisneyfan) usually has a mini challenge going. i think the one right now is for cinco de mayo.

RXfordisney - what area of georgia are you in? i'm on the northeast side of atlanta, near athens.

I'm going to try Narcoossees for the first time on my next trip.

You know what's evil? The island sunset drink at Tambu Lounge, actually, any drink from there is evil. ;)

Dawn, DH and I spent our entire dinner out (for his birthday) talking about where we are eating on our upcoming May trip. In 50 days we'll be eating at V&A, all 5 courses, probably licking the food from between the tongs of my fork.

i so wish you guys were going a couple weeks earlier or that we were going a couple weeks later!!! oh, and i'm totally jealous about V&A!
I'm very jealous too, I would love to eat at V&A sometime.

It should definatly not take an hour to be seated. Depending on the line to see Cinderella, it should only take a few minutes. I think I had about a five minute or so wait to see her.

WELCOME new kids!!!!!! :grouphug: I hope you like it here!!!!! Post often! You can use us for whatever you need: Want to overeat? POST! Need to vent instead of reaching for a cookie (or whole sleeve of thin mints :sad2: ) POST!

I hate laundry!!!!

I'm inventing disposable clothes.

THANK YOU's
to all y'all commenting on my son's baptism. As cold as the font water was, it wasn't a semi-frozen lake or river, so he's fine. I kept joking before hand (at home where appropriate) that he needed extra warm water so he'll really be cleansed...since he had a lot of boy dirt on his body and prolly extra "sins" to be washed away. (I joke when nervous) :upsidedow

Aside from the extended family uber drama, it was the BEST day! My little man takes his newly baptised state seriously.:cloud9:

Sorry about the uber-drama UM... I know how that is. I have dealt with it in my normal way, by moving far away and burying my head firmly in the sand. I also hear ya on the FF pringles... you have your ore-weigh in pooh muffins, I have my pringles!!

punkin, does your in-law in question have a weight problem? That stinks that they won't give you money... mine try to force money on me sometimes and they are in a BAD way financially so I won't take it.

Pakey, when is your V&A? We have a reservation for May 21, our anniversary.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

THANKS for the welcoming words, everybody!

Punkin - your story cracked me up! I mean, I'm not above occasionally eating a box of _______ (fill-in-the-blank) by myself on a serious binge, but I wouldn't admit it! Plus, it would have been a nice touch if she'd paid for the food...

UM - Congratulations to Riley! I've been to a lot of 8-year-old baptisms lately. Must have been something in the water that year!

MJ - good luck with the move. It sounds like you'll be in an area with plenty of opportunities for healthy living!

It's cloudy, but quiet, as I'm at home (almost) alone - my son was so tired that I left church early and put him to bed. My 3-year-old is with DH and they won't be back for a few minutes yet. I took the time to DIS while snacking on some homemade salsa (the kind where you throw a couple of cans of stuff in the blender and hit go!) and not-really-low-calorie chips. The salsa's so hot that I can't take too much of it, thank goodness.

Hey - maybe I should get off of this computer and get ON the treadmill!

Have a great weekend, everybody!

Just an afternoon fly-by to make a committment to myself.

Dear Self,
You WILL get on the treadmill today for a minimum of 40 minutes before your head touchs that pillow tonight. You slacked off yesterday AND Friday, so today is a must! You still have almost 3 pounds to lose and only 17 days to do it in! Don't lose your momentum now!

Love,

Pjlla

Oh, Beth! I forgot to welcome you back!! :goodvibes

Pjilla, I have been slacking off on my gym too lately. I am going to try to get back on the exercise wagon tomorrow (today is Mr Kat's day off so if I sneak away he will get upset), and go every day this week. You with me?

Thanks Kat!

I'm with you. It's not TOO snowy here (all the snow's off the streets and most of our grass) so I can walk outside - big thrill - which is less boring to me than the treadmill.

I have some fancy new shoes to try out - what better time!?

Good luck!
